Straight Stairlift

Bestseller in Baytown

The standard for Baytown's ranches, two-stories, and porch-step runs — built for Gulf Coast heat and humidity. Over 60% of the stairlifts we install across Baytown and east Harris County are straight models. The rail bolts into your stair treads — never into the wall — and the seat and footrest fold flat when not in use. Every unit ships with high-humidity lubricant rated to 140°F operating temperature and battery backup for storm-season outages. Most ranch-entry and two-story installs finish in under four hours.

Starting at $2,750 installed

Stairlift Service Across Harris County

Harris County, TX

From the 1940s slab ranches of Original Baytown and Wooster — where exterior porch steps and concrete entry stairs are the typical stairlift challenge — to the two-story subdivisions along Garth Road and in Chaparral Village with builder-grade stairs and minimum tread depth, our team has measured every housing type in the city. We know which Cedar Bayou and Kilgore bungalows have steep attic-conversion staircases requiring a swivel-exit seat, which Roseland and Brownwood homes have raised slab foundations with exterior steps needing weather-sealed outdoor rails, and which City Center properties near the Fred Hartman Bridge corridor sit inside the flood-plain zone where the quick-release bracket is mandatory. We also cover the east Harris County corridor — Highlands, La Porte, and Mont Belvieu — so you never wait on a tech driving from west Houston.

Chaparral Village two-story — straight rail on builder-grade oak treads

Chaparral Village, TX Installed March 2026

A 1998 two-story in Chaparral Village with builder-grade oak treads and a standard 36-inch-wide staircase. Mr. Trevino retired from the ExxonMobil refinery after 28 years with two bad knees. We mounted a straight rail on the open side of the staircase, matched the rail finish to the existing oak, and added a folding footrest so the hallway at the bottom stays clear. He rode it upstairs the afternoon of the install and slept in his own bed that night.

1952 Kilgore bungalow — curved rail around a tight upper landing turn

Kilgore, TX Installed February 2026

A 1952 bungalow in Kilgore with an attic conversion that added a second-floor bedroom in the 1970s. The staircase turns 90 degrees at the upper landing and opens into a narrow hallway. We laser-scanned the full run, fabricated a curved rail that hugs the inside wall through the turn, and installed a swivel-exit seat so Mrs. Landry steps off facing the hallway instead of the top tread. She's 78 and had been sleeping downstairs for five months before the install.

Original Baytown ranch — straight rail on 1948 stone-veneer entry steps

Original Baytown, TX Installed January 2026

A 1948 slab-on-grade ranch in Original Baytown with a stone-veneer front entry and six concrete steps up to the porch. Mr. Dominguez has lived there since 1972. After a knee replacement in 2025, the porch steps became his biggest barrier. We anchored the rail into the concrete treads with stainless-steel masonry bolts, sealed the motor housing for Gulf Coast humidity, and added the high-temperature lubricant. The entire consultation was in Spanish at his request.

Roseland raised foundation — outdoor lift over stone paving and concrete steps

Roseland, TX Installed December 2025

A 1960s Roseland home with a raised pier-and-beam foundation and eight concrete steps from the driveway to the front door, flanked by stone-paved walkways. Mrs. Carter is a retired school librarian who uses a cane after a fall in 2024. We installed a weather-sealed outdoor rail anchored into the concrete with the quick-release seat bracket — standard on every Harris County outdoor install. The lift ran through a full Gulf Coast summer of thunderstorms and 95-degree heat without a single service call.

Wooster ranch addition — straight rail over carpeted stairs to converted upper floor

Wooster, TX Installed November 2025

A 1955 ranch in Wooster with a second-floor addition built in the 1980s, accessed by a carpeted staircase off the main hallway. Mrs. Jenkins is 81 and had been using the upstairs as storage for two years. Her VA benefits through the DeBakey VA in Houston covered the full cost under HISA. We mounted the rail through the carpet into the subfloor with reinforced tread plates and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top. She rode it upstairs that afternoon.

Platform Lift

Cedar Bayou split-entry — indoor wheelchair platform lift with safety edges

Cedar Bayou, TX Installed October 2025

A 1975 split-entry home in Cedar Bayou where Mr. Nguyen uses a power wheelchair after a workplace injury at one of the Ship Channel plants. We installed an indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges on all four sides, interlocking gate arms at both landings, and a constant-pressure control. The platform rides a vertical track bolted to the stair wall with no pit excavation. Mr. Nguyen rolls on at the entry, rides up, and rolls off into the living room.

Common Questions

Everything Baytown Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Baytown right now?

Straight rails in standard Baytown homes — the two-stories in Chaparral Village, the ranches in Original Baytown and Wooster, the porch-step runs across Roseland — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for landing turns and attic conversions (common in Kilgore and Cedar Bayou bungalows) run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-manufactured to your staircase geometry. Outdoor lifts sealed for Gulf Coast conditions run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the rail, seat, battery backup, installation, and your first service visit.

Does the Gulf Coast climate spec add to the cost?

No. The high-humidity lubricant, UV-stabilized seat upholstery, and quick-release storm bracket are baseline spec on every Baytown install — not upgrades we charge extra for. A company that quotes you a "standard" model and then upsells you a "weather package" is selling you something that should have been included from the start. Our quote is the full price with everything the Gulf Coast climate requires already built in.

Are prices different in Baytown than in Houston proper?

Equipment pricing is identical across Harris County. The only variable is install complexity — a steep attic-conversion staircase in Kilgore takes longer than a standard two-story run in Chaparral Village. We itemize every line on the quote so you see exactly what you're paying for. No "east Harris County surcharge," no travel fees anywhere inside our coverage zone.

Does financing help Baytown families afford a stairlift?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79/month. Application is a soft credit pull (no hit to your score), takes about 4 minutes, and approval is usually instant. Many Baytown families combine financing with a partial VA HISA grant or the IRS medical deduction to bring the monthly payment down further. We walk you through the math during the free assessment — on paper, not a tablet screen.

A word from Luis

Most Baytown families call after a close call — a slip on rain-slick porch steps after a Gulf Coast downpour, a refinery retiree whose knees finally gave out after 30 years of shift work, a daughter in Pasadena worried about her father alone in the Original Baytown ranch he's lived in since 1972.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure the staircase, and hand you a written quote that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
