Stairlift Service Across Lehigh County

Lehigh County, PA

We install across Whitehall Township and its Lehigh County villages north of Allentown. Egypt, settled by German immigrants in 1728, holds the township's oldest homes — steep, narrow staircases that usually need a curved rail. Fullerton, the commercial hub around MacArthur Road, has the highest concentration of 1960s split-levels and colonials with standard straight runs. Hokendauqua and Cementon sit along the Lehigh River with older twins and compact capes. Stiles and Mickleys are quiet pockets of modest ranches and capes off Route 145. We also serve nearby Allentown, Catasauqua, Coplay, and Northampton.

Straight

Fullerton — straight rail on original oak treads

Fullerton, PA Installed January 2026

The Rogers' 1968 split-level in Fullerton, just off MacArthur Road, has dark oak treads and a tight hallway at the bottom of a straight run. Luis installed a beige seat on a straight rail bolted directly to the treads — no drywall damage, no repainting. The carriage parks at the bottom landing, keeping the hallway clear. The family was back to the upstairs bedrooms the same day.

Egypt — curved rail at the upper landing

Egypt, PA Installed November 2025

The Kessler home in Egypt dates to 1924, and the main staircase turns 90 degrees at a mid-landing with a half-wall and a light fixture overhead. Luis laser-measured the geometry on site; the custom rail arrived three weeks later, bent to match. The brown leather seat parks at the upper landing, out of the path, and the rail hugs the half-wall through the turn.

Hokendauqua — compact straight rail on stone treads

Hokendauqua, PA Installed February 2026

The Millers live in a compact Cape Cod in Hokendauqua, along the Lehigh River, with stone-tread stairs and a tight turn at the bottom near a wooden sideboard. Luis bolted the rail through the stone into the treads cleanly, with no cracking, and used the slim carriage to preserve clearance. The brown seat folds to about 12 inches when parked.

Outdoor

Mickleys — weather-sealed lift on a stone stoop

Mickleys, PA Installed October 2025

The Santoros' Mickleys rancher has a stone-paved stoop with four steps down to the driveway — treacherous in a Lehigh Valley winter of ice and snow. Luis installed a cream outdoor lift with an IP55-rated sealed motor and coated rail, anchored into the stone with stainless hardware. It came through a 38-inch snow season and repeated freeze-thaw still running clean.

Cementon — straight rail on carpeted stairs

Cementon, PA Installed March 2026

The Thompsons live in a Cementon twin with wall-to-wall beige carpet on the stairs leading to three upstairs bedrooms. The brown leather seat matches the carpet tone almost exactly. Luis bolted the rail through the carpet and padding into the solid treads beneath — no pulling up or cutting the carpet — and the carriage glides smoothly over the pile.

Platform Lift

Stiles — indoor wheelchair platform lift

Stiles, PA Installed December 2025

Mr. Kowalski in Stiles uses a wheelchair full-time, and his two-story home had no ground-floor bathroom. Luis installed an inclined platform lift on the indoor staircase — flat black deck with yellow safety edges, folding up against the wall when not in use, with a white handrail along the path. Rated for 600 lb, it carries Mr. Kowalski and his chair smoothly to the upper floor.

Common Questions

Everything Whitehall Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a straight stairlift cost in Whitehall Township?

A straight stairlift starts at $2,800 installed for a standard Whitehall Township staircase. That covers the rail, seat, battery backup, installation labor, and a walk-through of the controls. Curved lifts start at $9,000 because the rail is custom-bent, outdoor lifts start at $4,000, and heavy-duty models that carry up to 600 lb start at $5,050. The quote you get at the assessment is the price you pay.

How much does a curved stairlift cost in Whitehall?

A curved stairlift starts at $9,000. Curved rails are custom-bent to your exact stair shape after a one-hour laser measurement on site — common for the older homes in Egypt that turn 90 degrees at a mid-landing. There's no standard template for a curved stair, which is why it costs more than a straight rail cut to length.

Are there hidden fees in a Whitehall Township stairlift quote?

No. The price covers the rail, carriage, seat, battery backup, installation, cleanup, and a demo of the controls and safety sensors. The only optional add-on is an extended warranty beyond the standard 5-year coverage. We don't charge a trip fee for in-home assessments anywhere in Whitehall Township or the surrounding Lehigh Valley.

Does the price include the battery backup and warranty?

Yes. Every stairlift comes with a 4Ah battery backup that keeps the lift running for about 6 hours during a power outage — useful in Whitehall's winter storms. The standard warranty is 5 years on the lift plus a lifetime warranty on the rail. The battery and warranty are included in the installed price, not billed separately.

A word from Luis

Whitehall Township keeps me on my toes because every village is built differently. In Egypt, I'm dealing with staircases in homes that predate the township's cement boom — steep, tight angles that need a curved rail bent to match. In Fullerton, it's mostly 1960s split-levels off MacArthur Road where a straight rail goes in clean in about three hours.

I've put lifts into Cementon twins, Hokendauqua capes, Mickleys ranches, and a platform lift in Stiles that gave a wheelchair user his upstairs back. The rail bolts into the treads, not the wall, so there's no drywall repair afterward.

For funding, the HISA grant through the Allentown VA Clinic on Hamilton Boulevard covers up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans, and Pennsylvania's Community HealthChoices Medicaid program can cover home modifications for eligible residents. Our straight-rail financing starts at $79 a month. I walk every family through the paperwork at the assessment.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Whitehall Township grew up around the cement and iron mills, and many of those mill-era and postwar homes are now lived in by the families who built their lives here. A stairlift keeps the upstairs in reach without trading the house for a single-floor apartment in Allentown.

Call (800) 965-0350 or book a free in-home assessment. Luis will measure your stairs, quote a flat installed price, and walk you through VA HISA and Pennsylvania Community HealthChoices funding — no trip fee, no pressure.
