Stairlift Service Across Yuma County

Yuma County, AZ

From the gated retirement community at Rancho El Mirage along Coyote Wash Golf Course to the rural acreages in Ligurta Foothills, Wellton's housing stock spans manufactured homes with three-step entries and single-family houses with full staircases. The Links at Coyote Wash features newer construction with carpeted interior stairs, while older manufactured homes in the Butterfield Park corridor often have narrow stairwells needing compact straight-rail fits. Mohawk Valley ranch houses from the 1970s and 1980s frequently split across two levels with short stair runs. Dome Valley properties east of town sit on larger lots where outdoor entry steps bake in the desert sun year-round.

Straight

Straight Rail on Dark Oak Treads — Ligurta Foothills

Ligurta Foothills, AZ Installed March 2026

The Millers' 2004 single-family in Ligurta Foothills has dark oak treads on a straight 14-stair run. We bolted the rail directly to the treads — no wall damage — and parked the beige seat at the bottom landing. Mrs. Miller had been avoiding the upstairs bedrooms since her hip surgery. She used the lift the same afternoon.

Curved Rail at 90° Upper Landing — The Links at Coyote Wash

The Links at Coyote Wash, AZ Installed January 2026

At the Garcias' home in The Links at Coyote Wash, the staircase makes a 90-degree turn at the upper landing beneath a chandelier. Our laser measurement captured the exact geometry, and the custom-bent curved rail arrived two weeks later. The brown seat parks at the top, letting Mr. Garcia reach his master bedroom without climbing.

Slim Straight Rail on Stone-Tile Treads — Butterfield Park

Butterfield Park, AZ Installed February 2026

The Pattersons' 1980s home near Butterfield Park has stone-tile treads on a compact staircase alongside a wooden sideboard. The narrow stairwell — just 34 inches wide — needed the slim-rail straight model. We measured, cut, and installed in under four hours. The brown seat tucks beside the sideboard at the base.

Rancho El Mirage, AZ Installed May 2026

At Rancho El Mirage, the Hendersons' gated home has a five-step stone-paved entryway exposed to full desert sun. We installed a weather-sealed outdoor stairlift with UV-rated upholstery and IP55-rated motor housing. The cream seat rides the rail from the driveway up to the front door — holding up through 110°F summer days.

Straight Rail on Carpeted Stairs — Mohawk Valley

Mohawk Valley, AZ Installed April 2026

The Watkins family's 1978 ranch in Mohawk Valley has carpeted stairs leading up from a tiled foyer. The carpet matched our brown upholstery almost exactly — a detail Mrs. Watkins appreciated. Straight rail, 13 feet, bolted through the carpet to the treads beneath. Mr. Watkins uses it twice daily to reach his home office upstairs.

Platform Lift

Inclined Wheelchair Platform — Dome Valley

Dome Valley, AZ Installed April 2026

The Thompsons' Dome Valley property needed more than a seat — Mr. Thompson uses a wheelchair full-time. We installed the inclined platform lift on their 16-foot straight staircase: flat black deck, yellow safety edges, white handrail. The platform folds up when not in use. Common Questions

Everything Wellton Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a straight stairlift cost in Wellton?

A straight stairlift in Wellton starts at $2,800, including the rail, motorized seat, and standard installation. Most local installs — whether in a manufactured home near Butterfield Park or a ranch house in Mohawk Valley — run between $2,800 and $3,500 depending on rail length and any added options like powered swivel or folding rail.

How much does a curved stairlift cost in Wellton?

Curved stairlifts in Wellton start at $9,000. The final price depends on the number of turns and rail length. A two-story home at The Links at Coyote Wash with a single 90-degree landing turn typically runs $9,000 to $11,500. The rail is custom-bent after a 1-hour laser measurement on site, and the install takes 1–2 days.

Does Medicare cover stairlift costs in Wellton?

No — Original Medicare (Parts A and B) does not cover stairlifts, which are classified as home modifications rather than durable medical equipment. Some Medicare Advantage plans may offer a home-modification allowance, but Wellton residents typically look to ALTCS (Arizona's Medicaid long-term care program) or the VA HISA grant for coverage instead.

What financing options are available for a stairlift in Wellton?

We offer financing starting at $79 per month with no prepayment penalty. This spreads the cost of a straight, curved, or outdoor stairlift across manageable monthly payments. We walk you through the application during the free in-home assessment — approval usually comes through the same day.

A word from Luis

Wellton's a different market than Yuma — most of our installs here are in retirement communities like Coyote Wash and Rancho El Mirage, where folks are aging in place and the winter population nearly doubles. About half the homes we work on are manufactured, which means we're bolting rails through carpet to the subfloor instead of hardwood treads. The other half are those 1970s and 1980s ranch houses in the Mohawk Valley with split-level layouts.

The desert heat is the real variable — outdoor installs need UV-rated components, and I always tell customers the rail will be hot to the touch in July. We schedule morning installs in summer for that reason. What I hear most from families: Mom or Dad moved here for the warm winters, bought a place with stairs, and now those stairs are the one thing keeping them from staying in the home they love. That's where we come in. Free assessment, same-week scheduling, and we don't charge travel fees even though we're coming out from Yuma.

— Luis Ramírez, Wellton
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Wellton stays a quiet desert town where retirees and snowbirds find affordable homes beneath the Muggins Mountains — but those stairs inside don't get any easier with age. Whether you're in a manufactured home off William Street, a golf-course property at Coyote Wash, or a ranch house in the Mohawk Valley, a stairlift keeps you in the home you chose without the daily risk of a fall.

Call Luis Ramírez at the Wellton office for a free in-home assessment. He'll measure your stairs, explain exactly what fits, and give you a printed quote on the spot — no pressure, no travel fees, and if you decide to move forward, we can usually install within the week.
