Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Yuma County

Yuma County, AZ

We install across the Foothills subdivisions along both sides of Frontage Road. Mesa del Sol homes sit on spacious corner lots with 36-inch treads — wide enough for our 600-lb heavy-duty carriage. Las Barrancas homes (mostly built 2018-2023 near the golf course) have modern staircases with tight 90° turns at the upper landing that require a curved rail. Foothills Mobile Estates homes near Fortuna Avenue take a simple straight rail in under four hours. We also serve Los Agaves, Yuma Meadows, Desert Foothills, and the ridge homes off Araby Road. Outdoor installs on covered patios need UV-stabilized covers only — Fortuna Foothills is 200 miles from any saltwater and sees zero hurricane risk.

Common Questions

Everything Fortuna Foothills Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a straight stairlift cost in Fortuna Foothills?

A standard straight rail in a Fortuna Foothills home starts at $2,800 installed — rail, chair, battery backup, 5-year mechanical warranty, lifetime rail warranty, and first-year service call. Most Mesa del Sol and Foothills Mobile Estates straight runs fit the base price.

Why are curved stairlifts so much more expensive?

Curved rails start at $9,000 because each rail is custom-bent to your exact staircase. Las Barrancas homes built after 2018 frequently have a 90° turn at the upper landing that requires a milled curved rail, laser-measured on site and shipped in 14-21 days.

Are there hidden fees I should ask about?

Your written Foothills quote includes rail, chair, installation, Arizona sales tax, and first-year service. No separate charge for running a dedicated 120V outlet, no travel-from-Yuma surcharge, and no fee for removing an existing lift.

Does Yuma County require a permit for a residential stairlift?

Residential stairlifts bolted to the stair treads do not require a Yuma County building permit. Some Fortuna Foothills HOAs (particularly Las Barrancas and portions of Mesa del Sol) request notification; we handle that submission if asked.

A word from Luis

Fortuna Foothills is mostly single-story, but the two-stories we do see — the Las Barrancas builds from 2018 onward, the larger homes in Mesa del Sol, and the ridge homes above Frontage Road — run 13 to 15 treads with either a straight rail or a single 90° turn at the top. The tread widths are generous (36 inches typical), which lets us spec the 600-lb heavy-duty unit for more riders than anywhere else in Yuma County.

The one thing I don't compromise on here is the motor tolerance. Summer ambient in the Foothills touches 118°F and the garage-adjacent stair walls hit 130°F+. I only install DC motors rated to 140°F with sealed gearboxes — nothing with a fan-cooled winding. For outdoor entries I spec UV-stabilized rail coatings and heat-rated motor enclosures; the Foothills is 200 miles from any saltwater so marine-grade isn't required, but dust storms off the Gila desert chew cheaper coatings inside two summers.

— Luis Ramírez, Fortuna Foothills
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Fortuna Foothills is a winter-visitor heavy community, which means half our installs are timed before the snowbird season and uninstalled or serviced each spring. We stock heat-rated DC motors locally and can schedule same-week service for any returning resident needing a pre-season tune-up.

Call for a free measurement — we'll show up on time, quote in writing, and install a straight rail in one visit. Curved rails for Las Barrancas two-stories ship in 14 to 21 days.
