Stairlift Service Across Kern County

Kern County, CA

We install across all of Wasco and the surrounding Kern County farm towns. In Old Town Wasco (the original Deweyville plat near the depot), early-1900s two-stories run about 30 inches wide with a quarter-turn landing — usually a curved rail. Around Barker Park and along Poso Avenue, the 1950s ranch homes have straight, carpeted staircases that take a standard rail in a morning. East Wasco off Kimberlina Road mixes 1970s–90s L-shaped stairs with tile entry treads. South of downtown near Memorial Park and the 7th Street corridor, single-story homes mostly need a porch lift for two or three entry steps. We also serve McFarland, Shafter and Delano.

Common Questions

Everything Wasco Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a stairlift cost in Wasco?

Straight models start at $2,800 installed, curved at $9,000, outdoor at $4,000, and heavy-duty at $5,050. Every quote covers the in-home assessment, rail fabrication, installation and a 5-year warranty plus lifetime rail coverage. Financing is available from $79/month.

Does Wasco's summer heat change the price?

No. The heat doesn't change the base price, but an outdoor lift needs the IP55 weather-sealed package — UV-stabilized seat, corrosion-resistant rail coating and sealed electronics — which is included at the $4,000 standard. Indoor lifts are unaffected by outside temperature.

What's the price difference between a straight and a curved lift?

A straight rail starts at $2,800 and a curved rail at $9,000. The difference is the custom work: curved rails are laser-measured on site and fabricated off-site to match your exact turn, which most Old Town Wasco two-stories require.

Can I finance a stairlift in Wasco?

Yes. Financing starts at $79/month. The application takes about 10 minutes and most applicants get a decision within the hour. There's no prepayment penalty, and terms run from 12 to 60 months.

A word from Luis

I've fitted lifts in more Wasco homes than I can count — a lot of those 1950s ranch houses off Poso Avenue and around Barker Park. The stairs are almost always 32 to 36 inches wide with carpet that's been down since the Eisenhower years. A straight rail goes in clean in about three hours, bolted right to the treads.

The older two-story homes in the original Deweyville plat near the old depot are different — tighter landings and a quarter-turn at the top, so those usually call for a curved rail. And out here the heat and field dust are real, so for porch steps I always spec the sealed outdoor unit. Whatever the staircase, I measure it in person before quoting a dollar.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

In Wasco the house itself tells you most of what you need to know. A 1953 ranch off Poso Avenue with 14 carpeted steps and 34 inches of width takes a straight rail, installed in a morning, from $2,800. A 1910 two-story near the old depot with a 90-degree turn at the landing needs a curved rail, laser-measured, from $9,000, fitted in about a week. The price doesn't change because of the zip code — it changes with the staircase geometry and the tread material.

Every quote starts with a free in-home assessment, and most straight installs are done same week. To get exact pricing for your staircase in Wasco, call (800) 965-0350.
