Stairlift Service Across Prince William County

Prince William County, VA

We install stairlifts across Triangle and Prince William County. The 1970s–80s split-levels and colonials in Moncure Woods, Cardinal Heights, and Thomason Park usually take a straight rail on oak or carpeted treads. The mid-2000s colonials in Stonewall Manor often have a curved two-story foyer that needs a custom rail. Homes near Graham Park and along Quantico Creek sometimes need an outdoor lift for porch-to-driveway steps, while the newer townhomes in Summit Pointe have steep, narrow runs. We also serve nearby Cherry Hill, Dumfries, Montclair, and Dale City.

Straight

Moncure Woods — straight rail on oak treads

Moncure Woods, VA Installed March 2026

A 1978 split-level in Moncure Woods with oak stairs, a half-landing, and 13 risers. After hip surgery, Mrs. Ramirez couldn't climb them safely. Luis installed a straight rail on the lower flight — bolt-through into the oak treads, no drywall work — with the beige seat parked at the bottom landing.

Curved

Stonewall Manor — curved rail at the upper landing

Stonewall Manor, VA Installed February 2026

A Stonewall Manor colonial with a dramatic curved staircase in a two-story foyer and a wrought-iron chandelier overhead. The 90-degree turn at the upper landing ruled out a straight rail. Luis laser-measured in an hour; the custom rail arrived in three weeks and the brown seat now parks at the top-floor hallway.

Cherry Hill — straight rail on stone treads

Cherry Hill, VA Installed April 2026

A 1960s cottage in Cherry Hill with original flagstone treads that had gone uneven after 60 years. Luis used shim plates under each bracket to level the rail. The brown seat sits beside a pine sideboard at the bottom of the stairs.

Outdoor

Potomac Highlands — outdoor lift on stone porch steps

Potomac Highlands, VA Installed October 2025

Tom Ferrara needed access from the driveway up six stone-paved porch steps, a 32-inch total rise. Luis installed an IP55-rated outdoor straight rail with weather-sealed, corrosion-resistant covers protecting the motor and battery. It has come through a full Virginia winter of freeze-thaw cycles without a fault.

Cardinal Heights — straight rail on carpeted stairs

Cardinal Heights, VA Installed January 2026

A 1980s colonial in Cardinal Heights with dense Berber carpet running up 14 steps. Luis cut precise openings for each bracket to reach the pine treads beneath, keeping the carpet intact. The brown seat matches the carpet tone and folds clear so a walker can pass alongside.

Platform Lift

Potomac Crest — indoor wheelchair platform lift

Potomac Crest, VA Installed December 2025

Daniel Cross uses a wheelchair full-time after a spinal injury. His 2008 colonial in Potomac Crest has a straight 16-foot staircase with oak treads. Luis installed an inclined platform lift — flat black deck, yellow safety edges, white handrail — rated to carry Daniel and his chair. When not in use, the platform folds flat against the wall so the family uses the stairs normally.

Common Questions

Everything Triangle Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Triangle, VA?

Straight rails start at $2,800 installed, curved rails from $9,000, outdoor lifts from $4,000, and heavy-duty models from $5,050. Every quote includes measurement, installation, and a 5-year warranty with lifetime rail coverage. Financing runs from $79/month with approved credit.

Are there any hidden fees with a Triangle stairlift install?

No. The final price covers the rail, seat, installation, cleanup, and first-year service calls. Extra brackets for stone or tile treads are included. An optional power-swivel seat runs about $250 more, and we confirm any electrical needs during the in-home measurement.

Does Medicare cover stairlift costs in Virginia?

Original Medicare (Part A and B) does not cover stairlifts — they're classified as home modifications, not durable medical equipment. Some Medicare Advantage plans sold in Virginia offer a home-safety allowance that may help; check your specific plan's supplemental benefits.

How much does an outdoor stairlift cost for a Triangle home?

Outdoor stairlifts start at $4,000 installed, with an IP55-rated motor, weather-sealed covers, and storm-rated anchors built for Virginia winters. Homes near Graham Park with stone or paver porch steps may need extra mounting hardware, which we confirm during measurement.

A word from Luis

Triangle's housing varies a lot by street. The mid-century split-levels and ranches near Cherry Hill and Graham Park usually take a straight rail bolted to oak treads in an afternoon. The newer Stonewall Manor colonials are where I get the two-story foyers with a real curve — those need a laser measurement and a custom rail.

I've done over two hundred installs in the 22172 zip alone, and I handle every one myself with no subcontractors. A lot of my Triangle customers are retired Marines and their families, so I know the VA HISA paperwork cold and route the prescription through the Fredericksburg VA when that's the right fit.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Triangle families near Quantico tend to stay put rather than move — and a stairlift is what keeps a two-story home fully usable as the years add up. Whether your stairs run straight in a Cherry Hill ranch or curve through a Stonewall Manor foyer, there's a model that fits.

Luis handles every assessment and installation himself — one visit for straight rails, two for curved. For retired Marines and other veterans, the VA HISA grant and Virginia's CCC Plus Waiver can cover much of the cost. Call (800) 965-0350 for a free in-home assessment with a firm, no-obligation quote.
