Straight

Cherry Hill colonial — straight rail on original oak treads

Cherry Hill, VA Installed March 2026

A 1985 colonial on a quiet Cherry Hill cul-de-sac with original oak stair treads maintained in solid condition for 40 years. Mr. Richardson was clear: the oak was not to be marked. We used clean-bore bracket installation directly into the tread, matched the beige seat to the warm oak tone, and completed the install in a single morning. The seat folds flat at the bottom landing, leaving the full tread width clear for other family members walking the stairs. Mrs. Richardson rode the stairlift upstairs that evening for the first time in six months.

Montclair split-level — curved rail around a 90° quarter-landing turn

Montclair, VA Installed February 2026

A 1978 split-level in Montclair with a 90-degree quarter-landing turn between the entry level and the upper bedrooms. The stairwell measured just 33 inches wide, and the existing banister post at the turn point had to remain in place. We laser-scanned the geometry on the first visit, fabricated a slim-profile curved rail to the exact turn radius, and installed in one afternoon. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the upper landing where the rail curves around the half-wall. Mrs. Gutierrez said two other companies told them the staircase was impossible. It took us eleven days to fabricate.

Dumfries Road split-foyer — straight rail on carpeted half-flight

Cherry Hill, VA Installed January 2026

A 1982 split-foyer along Dumfries Road with carpeted stairs leading from the entry landing to the upper living level. The carpet-covered treads are a warm brown tone, and the brown-upholstered seat blends naturally. The critical engineering detail was the rail termination point at the landing — the seat had to park without blocking the front door swing or the lower stairway access. We positioned the parking point precisely to preserve full door clearance. Mrs. Patel said the split-foyer layout was why she thought a stairlift wouldn't work. It does.

Outdoor

Dale City — outdoor lift on raised brick entry steps

Dale City, VA Installed December 2025

A raised front entry in Dale City with six exterior brick steps between the walkway and the front door. Mr. Nguyen had slipped on icy steps the previous January and avoided his own front entrance since. We mounted an outdoor straight rail on the brick with stainless masonry anchors, sealed the motor housing to IP54, and fitted a cream UV-resistant seat. Northern Virginia's freeze-thaw cycle and summer humidity required weather-sealed hardware rated for year-round temperature extremes. The heated track option prevents ice buildup during winter. Mr. Nguyen uses his own front door year-round again.

Woodbridge townhome — straight rail in a narrow interior stairwell

Woodbridge, VA Installed November 2025

A townhome in Woodbridge with a narrow interior staircase connecting the ground-floor entry to the main living level. The stairwell measured 34 inches wide, making bracket clearance the primary concern. We selected a slim-profile rail system that mounts directly onto the treads with minimal bracket projection, leaving enough clearance for other family members to walk the stairs comfortably. Mrs. Kim had called another company who said the stairway was too narrow for a stairlift. It was not — it required the right equipment selection and precise bracket positioning.

Platform Lift

Triangle — outdoor wheelchair platform lift at garage entry

Triangle, VA Installed October 2025

A Triangle home where Mr. Hawkins — a retired Marine from nearby Quantico — uses a power wheelchair and needed access from the garage level to the main living floor. Four steps with a total rise of 32 inches. A seat-based stairlift was not viable because he cannot transfer safely. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black deck, yellow safety edges, and white handrails on both sides. The platform accommodates wheelchairs up to 34 inches wide and 600 lbs total load. Automatic ramps fold down at both landings, and key-operated call-send controls are mounted at wheelchair height. Mr. Hawkins enters and exits his home independently for the first time in two years.

Common Questions

Everything Cherry Hill Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Cherry Hill, VA right now?

Straight rails in a standard Cherry Hill colonial or split-foyer run $2,800 to $5,500 fully installed. Curved rails — needed for homes with quarter-landing turns or unusual staircase geometry — run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-fabricated to your exact staircase. Every quote is written, itemized, and honored for 30 days. The quote covers rail, seat, installation labor, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Is the in-home assessment actually free?

Yes, completely free with no obligation. Luis measures your staircase precisely, photographs the stair geometry, identifies the right rail type for your home, and leaves you with a written quote the same day. For curved-rail projects in Cherry Hill's split-level homes, that measurement data goes directly to fabrication — a real working visit, not a sales presentation. You review the quote at your own pace and call when you're ready.

Are there financing options for Cherry Hill homeowners?

Yes. We work with three lending partners offering 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans starting from $90 per month. The credit application is a soft pull — no impact to your score — takes four minutes, and typically returns a same-day decision. Many Cherry Hill homeowners combine financing with VA HISA grant funds or Virginia's Livable Home Tax Credit to bring the net cost down. We model the math during the free assessment.

Does location in Northern Virginia affect my price?

No. Our equipment pricing is uniform across Virginia — no NoVA or Prince William County premium. What can vary is labor complexity: split-foyer rail termination, older electrical panels requiring a dedicated circuit, or HOA coordination in managed communities. Every variable appears on the written quote before work begins.

A word from Luis

Cherry Hill sits in one of the fastest-growing parts of Prince William County, but the residential core is 1980s and 1990s subdivision housing — mostly two-story colonials with standard 14-step staircases and split-foyer models where the entry opens to a half-flight up and a half-flight down. I've installed stairlifts in both configurations hundreds of times across Northern Virginia. The split-foyer installs require specific bracket positioning because the rail terminates at an intermediate landing, not a full floor level.

Prince William County has one of the highest veteran concentrations in Virginia — Quantico Marine Corps Base is less than ten miles south. The VA HISA grant covers up to $6,800, and Virginia's Livable Home Tax Credit provides up to $6,500 for accessibility modifications. I handle the VA paperwork and the LHTC application simultaneously so you're not filing two programs independently.
