Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Hidalgo County

Hidalgo County, TX

Our install teams cover Perezville and the full arc of southwestern Hidalgo County, from Restful Valley Ranch Colonia and Enchanted Valley Ranch Colonia out to Abram, Palmview, and the La Homa Road area. In Mission proper, we regularly work in Shary Heights — the historic district with post-war homes that often have narrow interior staircases and original hardwood treads from the late 1940s and '50s. West toward La Joya and Penitas, the housing stock shifts to single-story manufactured homes on concrete pads, where most installs are short outdoor rail runs up porch entries. Every assessment is free and we schedule within the same week — no waiting on a contractor from McAllen or Edinburg to fit you in.

Straight

Straight Rail on 1950s Hardwood — Shary Heights

Shary Heights, Mission, TX Installed March 2026

The Morales home in Shary Heights has the original narrow oak staircase from 1952 — 14 treads, straight run, dark finish. Luis bolted the rail directly to the treads using a template that matched the tread depth exactly. The beige seat parks at the bottom landing, folded up against the rail. No wall drilling, no drywall dust. Mrs. Morales, 78, uses the upstairs bedrooms again after two years of sleeping on a foldout in the den.

Curved Rail Around Landing — Enchanted Valley Ranch

Enchanted Valley Ranch Colonia, TX Installed April 2026

A newer two-story just east of Perezville with a 90-degree turn at the upper landing and a half-wall overlook. Luis laser-measured the full staircase in one hour, sent the profile to fabrication, and returned two weeks later with a curved rail bent to the exact geometry. The brown seat parks at the top floor, out of sight from the entryway.

Compact Straight Rail — Abram Colonia

Abram, TX Installed February 2026

A small 1970s home on the Abram side with stone-tile treads and a tight staircase hugging the sideboard in the living room. The straight rail runs 12 feet up the narrow flight, bolted into the tile with masonry anchors. The brown seat sits at the bottom near a wooden cabinet — the family moved the cabinet six inches left and the fit was perfect. Mrs.

Outdoor

Porch-Entry Outdoor Rail — Restful Valley Ranch

Restful Valley Ranch Colonia, TX Installed May 2026

A manufactured home on a concrete pad with five porch steps leading to the front door — the only barrier between Mr. Hernandez, 76, and his morning walk down the caliche road. Luis mounted the weatherproof rail to the concrete steps with stainless brackets, plugged the motor into the porch outlet, and tested the IP55 seals. The cream seat sits at the bottom of the porch, UV-resistant and rated for full RGV sun exposure.

Carpeted Staircase — Palmview

Palmview, TX Installed January 2026

A 1980s two-story in Palmview with beige carpeted stairs — 16 treads, straight run, tiled floor at the base. Luis installed the rail in three hours, positioning the brown seat so it parks at the carpeted landing without blocking the hallway to the kitchen. The seat upholstery blended almost perfectly with the existing carpet color. Mr.

Indoor Wheelchair Platform — West Mission

West Mission near Bentsen Park, TX Installed June 2026

Mr. Guerra uses a wheelchair full-time after a spinal injury. His two-story home near the Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park entrance has a straight interior staircase — 15 treads, standard width. Luis installed a black flat-deck inclined platform lift with yellow safety edges and a white handrail along the full run. The platform folds up when not in use, leaving the staircase walkable for the rest of the family. Mr.

Common Questions

Everything Perezville Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Perezville?

A straight-rail install in Perezville starts at $2,800. Curved rails, which are custom-bent to your staircase after a laser measurement, start at $9,000. Outdoor lifts for porch or entry steps run from $4,000. Heavy-duty models rated for 600 lb start at $5,050. Every quote we give in southwestern Hidalgo County includes the in-home assessment, the rail, the seat, installation, and a 5-year warranty — no hidden delivery fees or trip charges.

Are there any extra fees I should know about for a Perezville install?

No. We don't charge travel fees to Perezville or any colonia in southwestern Hidalgo County. The price Luis gives you at the in-home assessment is the total — rail, seat, install labor, battery backup, and the warranty. No fuel surcharge, no 'rural delivery' fee. If your home is off Spur 347 on a caliche road with no street sign, we still show up with no extra charge.

Do you offer financing for stairlifts in the Mission area?

Yes — financing starts at $79/month for qualified buyers. We also walk families through the HISA grant for veterans (up to $6,800, tax-free, never repaid) and the Texas STAR+PLUS HCBS waiver, which covers up to $7,500 in minor home modifications for eligible Medicaid recipients. Many Perezville households combine one of these programs with financing to cover any remainder.

Is a stairlift cheaper than moving to a single-story home in the RGV?

Almost always. A straight stairlift at $2,800 is far less than the cost of selling a home in Perezville, buying a one-story in Mission or Palmview, and paying closing costs on both transactions. Even a curved-rail install at $9,000 compares favorably when you factor in realtor commissions, moving expenses, and the disruption of leaving a neighborhood where your family may have lived since the 1960s or '70s.

A word from Luis

Perezville and the surrounding colonias — Restful Valley Ranch, Enchanted Valley Ranch, Abram — have a lot of homes built in the 1960s and '70s on concrete slabs. Stairs come in two flavors out here: the three or four porch steps leading up to a manufactured home, or the full interior staircase in an older split-level. I've put rails on both. The outdoor installs hold up fine in the RGV heat and the occasional tropical-storm wind — the rails are powder-coated and the motor housings are sealed. No salt corrosion to worry about this far inland, but we spec weatherproofing anyway because the summer humidity and the dust off the caliche roads are their own kind of punishment.

What I hear most from families out here is that they thought a stairlift would be way out of budget, especially in a smaller community where everybody knows everybody and nobody wants to ask for help. Straight-rail jobs start at $2,800. If you're a veteran, the HISA grant through the McAllen VA Clinic on Hackberry covers up to $6,800 — that can pay for the whole install. I bring the paperwork to the in-home assessment and walk you through it.

— Luis Ramírez, Perezville
