Stairlift Service Across Hidalgo County

Hidalgo County, TX

From the 1940s bungalows near the Hidalgo County Courthouse in downtown Edinburg — where original Saltillo tile, stone-trim risers, and decades of foundation settlement demand bracket shimming and masonry anchors — to the post-2000 two-story stucco subdivisions along Trenton Road, Monte Cristo, and Canton Road, where wide tile staircases with upper-landing turns are the dominant floor plan, our crew has measured every staircase pattern in the Edinburg market. We know which North Edinburg developments have engineered-hardwood treads that install fastest, which Canton Road split-entries need outdoor-rated anchors, and which older downtown homes require tread-by-tread shimming. We staff direct coverage for Cesar Chavez, Doolittle, Murillo, Lopezville, and San Carlos — no tech driving up from Harlingen. Todo el servicio disponible en español.

North Edinburg two-story — straight rail on engineered hardwood treads

North Edinburg, TX Installed March 2026

A 2006 two-story stucco home off Monte Cristo Road with engineered hardwood on every tread and a straight 14-step run from the living area to the bedrooms. Sra. Garza's daughter called us — her mother had stopped going upstairs three months earlier after a fall and had been sleeping on the living room sofa. We bolted the rail into the hardwood treads, mounted the seat at the bottom landing, tested every sensor, and walked Sra. Garza through both remotes twice. She went upstairs to her own bed that night for the first time since December. The entire consultation happened in Spanish.

Trenton Road corridor — curved rail around a 90° upper landing

Trenton Road corridor, TX Installed February 2026

A 2003 two-story along the Trenton Road corridor with a wide tile staircase that wraps 90 degrees at the upper landing before opening to the bedroom hallway. Mr. Salinas uses a walker after a stroke — a mid-landing transfer between two straight rails was out of the question. We laser-scanned the entire run, fabricated a single continuous curved rail, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top so he steps off directly onto the hallway tile. His physical therapist from Doctors Hospital at Renaissance approved the setup for his home therapy plan. The seat parks at the upper floor landing, framed art on the wall untouched.

Downtown Edinburg bungalow — compact rail on Saltillo tile treads

Downtown Edinburg, TX Installed January 2026

A 1940s two-story bungalow one block off Closner Boulevard with original Saltillo tile treads and a wooden cabinet at the base of the stairs. The compact stairway with stone-trimmed risers needed masonry anchors for every bracket, and the settled foundation required tread-by-tread shimming to level the rail. We fitted the slim-profile straight track next to the sideboard without moving it, parked the seat at the bottom landing in the cozy entryway. Mr. Villarreal told his daughter on the phone: 'Ahora sí, me quedo.'

Canton Road raised entry — weather-sealed lift on stone-paver porch steps

Canton Road area, TX Installed December 2025

A 2001 single-story with a raised front porch and six stone-paver steps from the carport to the front door. Mrs. Trevino's mother had moved in after a hip fracture and couldn't manage the entry steps. The family considered a concrete ramp, but the lot grade made it impractical. We bolted a cream weather-sealed outdoor rail into the stone pavers with concrete-rated anchors, UV-coated every exposed surface for the South Texas sun, and applied high-heat lubricant rated to 140 degrees for the south-facing entry. Natural daylight floods the covered porch entry. The lift ran through a full Valley summer without a service call.

Doolittle subdivision — straight rail on carpeted two-story stairs

Doolittle, TX Installed November 2025

A 2009 two-story in the Doolittle area north of Edinburg with a 13-step carpeted run and a landing at the midpoint. Mr. Perez had bilateral knee replacements at DHR Health and his orthopedic team required him to avoid weight-bearing stair climbing for six months. We mounted the straight rail through the carpet into the treads beneath, matched the brown seat upholstery to the carpet tones, and positioned the chair at the landing. Wall-mounted light switches stayed accessible on both sides. The entire walkthrough was in Spanish — he was upstairs the same evening.

Platform Lift

Monte Cristo home — indoor wheelchair platform lift for full-time chair user

Monte Cristo, TX Installed September 2025

The Cantu family patriarch is a Vietnam veteran who uses a wheelchair full-time and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift on the indoor stairway of their Monte Cristo home — a flat black anti-slip platform with high-visibility yellow safety edges, white handrails on both sides, and a keyed call station at each level. Orange-toned interior walls frame the stairway with a window providing natural light. He rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and rides to the upper floor without leaving his chair. The VA HISA grant covered the majority of the cost.

Common Questions

Everything Edinburg Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Edinburg right now?

Straight rails for the standard two-story stucco homes across Edinburg — the floor plans you see along Trenton Road, Monte Cristo, Doolittle, and the subdivisions north of University Drive — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for staircases with upper-landing turns run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries and stone-paver steps run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the rail, seat, battery backup, high-heat lubricant, installation, and first service visit.

Are prices different in the Valley than in Houston or San Antonio?

Equipment prices are identical statewide — we don't inflate for zip code or distance. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: masonry anchoring on stone-trim treads in older downtown Edinburg homes, foundation-settlement shimming in pre-1960 construction, or stone-paver outdoor anchoring. Every variable is a line item on the written quote. No surprise charges at install, and the full consultation happens in your preferred language.

Do you offer financing for Edinburg homeowners?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and fixed-rate plans starting at $79/month. The application is a soft credit pull that doesn't affect your score, takes about four minutes, and approval is usually instant. Many Valley families combine financing with a partial VA HISA grant or the IRS medical expense deduction to bring the monthly payment down. We walk through every option at the kitchen table during the free assessment — in English or Spanish, your choice.

Is the consultation really free? No trip charge for Edinburg?

Zero charge. No trip fee, no assessment fee, no deposit to schedule. We staff the McAllen-Edinburg-Mission metro directly — your installer isn't driving down from San Antonio. The home visit takes about 45 minutes, you get a written quote before we leave, and there's no obligation. If you decide to go ahead, the quote is honored for 30 days at the price we wrote down.

A word from Luis

Most Edinburg families call after a parent or grandparent takes a bad step on the interior stairs of a two-story stucco home built in the last 20 years — the kind that went up fast along Trenton Road and Monte Cristo when the Valley was booming. The abuela raised the kids in that house, the kids bought their own places down the road, and nobody wants to uproot her now.

Lo que hago es simple: I drive out within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a written price good for 30 days. No pressure. No hidden fees. Todo en español si lo prefiere — every form, every manual, every phone call.
