Stairlift Service Across Ector County

Ector County, TX

From the brick ranches of Sherwood — where the conversation is almost always about getting an aging parent back to the upstairs bedroom they’ve used for 40 years — to the 1960s split-levels of Crestview with their sunken living rooms and 90-degree landing turns that make a single curved rail the only option, our team has mapped every neighborhood in Odessa. We know which Ridgecrest West cottages have the narrow 1950s staircases that need a slim-profile rail, which Windsor Heights porches face full west and need UV-stabilized outdoor hardware rated to 150°F, and which Permian Estates two-stories from the 1970s have the carpeted stairs where brackets bite through to the subfloor in under three hours. Because the Permian Basin is spread across 53,000 square miles of West Texas, we also cover Midland, West Odessa, Gardendale, Andrews, and Big Spring at no extra travel charge.

Sherwood brick ranch — straight rail on original oak treads to the upper bedrooms

Sherwood, TX Installed March 2026

A 1968 brick ranch in Sherwood with original hardwood treads running from the living room up to the three bedrooms. Mrs. Garza is 81 and had not slept upstairs in two months after a fall on the third step. The staircase is a clean 14-foot straight run with no turns — the simplest install we do. Rail bolted into the oak treads, beige seat parked at the bottom landing and folding flat against the wall so the entry stays clear. Her son drove over from Midland on a Saturday, called us that afternoon, and we had a tech at the house Monday morning. Mrs. Garza rode it to her own bedroom that evening and told her son she was not selling the house.

Crestview split-level — curved rail around the upper landing turn

Crestview, TX Installed February 2026

A 1965 brick split-level in Crestview — the classic Odessa floor plan with a sunken living room, six steps up to the kitchen level, and another eight steps to the bedrooms with a 90-degree turn at the upper landing. Two other companies quoted two separate straight rails with a transfer at the landing. We laser-scanned the full run and fabricated a single curved rail that carries Mr. Thompson from the living room to the bedroom hallway in one continuous ride. Swivel-exit seat at the top so he steps off onto the hallway floor. The foundation had settled about a quarter-inch over 60 years on the caliche soil — we shimmed the rail brackets to compensate.

Ridgecrest West cottage — brown seat on stone-tile treads in a compact staircase

Ridgecrest West, TX Installed January 2026

A 1950s cottage in Ridgecrest West with a stone veneer exterior and stone-tile treads on a compact interior staircase — 11 feet from the main floor to the single upstairs bedroom. Mr. Hernandez bought the house in 1983 when he started at a Permian Basin oilfield services company. At 79, the stairs had become the one thing standing between him and the bedroom he has used for 43 years. The brown seat sits next to a wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs and matches the warm terra-cotta tile underfoot. The slim-profile folding footrest lets his granddaughter still walk past on the narrow treads. The entire consultation happened in Spanish.

Windsor Heights porch — outdoor lift on stone paving, Permian Basin heat-sealed

Windsor Heights, TX Installed November 2025

A raised front porch on a 1970s brick ranch in Windsor Heights — six exterior stone steps from the driveway to the front door, full West Texas sun exposure from 10 a.m. to sundown, and summer surface temperatures on the stone paving that regularly exceed 140°F. Mr. Morales is a Vietnam-era veteran enrolled at the Wilson and Young Medal of Honor VA Clinic in Odessa. We prefilled his HISA paperwork, the prescription came from his VA provider at the West Texas VA Health Care System in Big Spring within four weeks, and installation was authorized the week after. The cream seat is UV-stabilized against the Permian Basin sun, heat-rated to 150°F, and sealed against the dust storms that blow through every spring.

Permian Estates — carpeted stairs, pre-surgery install, three-hour turnaround

Permian Estates, TX Installed October 2025

A 1978 two-story in Permian Estates with fully carpeted stairs. Mrs. Williams had a hip replacement scheduled at Medical Center Hospital the following week and wanted the lift working before she came home. Her daughter called us on a Wednesday. We measured Thursday morning, confirmed a clean 13-foot straight run with no turns, and installed Friday afternoon. The mounting brackets bite through the carpet into the subfloor — no carpet removal, no mess, no exposed tack strips. The brown seat blends into the carpet tones on the landing. Mrs. Williams came home from surgery the following Tuesday and rode the lift from the front hall to the upstairs bedroom without putting weight on the stairs once.

Platform Lift

Buchanan home — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Buchanan, TX Installed September 2025

A 1960s split-level in the Buchanan neighborhood where Mr. Dixon needs full wheelchair access between the entry level and the upper living area. A seated stairlift was not an option — he uses a power wheelchair full-time after an oilfield accident in 2019 and needs to ride in his chair. We installed an indoor vertical platform lift with a flat black anti-slip deck, yellow safety edges around the full platform perimeter, and automatic gates at both levels. The lift runs on a standard 120V outlet, fits within the existing stairwell opening, and required no shaft construction. Mr. Dixon rolls onto the platform, presses the control, and arrives at the upper level in about 12 seconds. The STAR+PLUS waiver through his Amerigroup coordinator covered the full installed cost.

Common Questions

Everything Odessa Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Odessa right now?

Straight rails in standard Odessa homes — the Sherwood brick ranches, the Crestview split-levels, the Ridgecrest West cottages — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for split-levels with landing turns run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front porches run $4,000 to $7,500 and include the UV-stabilized, heat-rated coating as standard. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the rail, seat, battery backup, installation, and first service visit.

Are prices different in Odessa than in Midland or other Permian Basin cities?

Equipment prices are the same across Ector and Midland counties — we don’t inflate quotes based on zip code. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: foundation settlement compensation on caliche soil in older Crestview homes, or fitting a slim-profile rail in a narrow 1950s cottage staircase. We tell you the line items upfront.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language consultations?

No. Every Odessa assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has walked dozens of Permian Basin families through every line of the paperwork in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Do you offer financing if I don’t qualify for STAR+PLUS or HISA?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79/month. Application is a soft credit pull (no hit to your score), takes about 4 minutes, and approval is usually instant. Many Odessa families combine financing with the IRS medical deduction or a partial HISA grant to bring the monthly payment down further. We walk you through the math during the free assessment — on paper, not a tablet.

A word from Luis

Most Odessa families call me after a near-miss on the stairs — a slip on the terrazzo entry steps of a 1960s Crestview ranch, a father who hasn’t been to the upstairs bedroom in weeks after knee surgery at Medical Center Hospital, a daughter in Houston worried about her parents alone in a Sherwood brick home they’ve lived in for 40 years.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
