Stairlift Service Across Miami-Dade County

Miami-Dade County, FL

From the postwar blocks around Griffing Park to the townhome developments near NW 7th Avenue, from the established two-stories along the NE 125th Street corridor to the properties in the Arch Creek area, our team has worked throughout North Miami's residential fabric. We know which CBS homes near Arch Creek have the original terrazzo stairs that need a specific mounting approach, and which newer townhomes near Biscayne Boulevard were built with the tighter 32-inch stair width that requires the narrow-profile rail. For nearby communities, we cover Biscayne Park, Golden Glades, Miami Shores, and North Miami Beach with the same same-week availability and bilingual service.

1962 CBS two-story in Griffing Park — straight rail on original terrazzo treads

Griffing Park, FL Installed March 2026

A 1962 CBS construction home in North Miami's Griffing Park neighborhood with original terrazzo stair treads and a straight 13-foot run to the second floor. The beige seat sits unfolded at the bottom of the staircase, with the straight rail bolted into the dark hardwood-trimmed treads on the right side. We used stainless-steel tapcon anchors set into the concrete substrate beneath the terrazzo, preserving the finish while giving a stronger hold than wood-tread bolts. The warm residential interior and open-tread staircase are unchanged.

Biscayne Boulevard townhome — curved rail bending 90° at the upper-floor landing

Biscayne Boulevard corridor, FL Installed February 2026

A 2004 townhome near Biscayne Boulevard with a 90-degree turn at the upper landing around a half-wall balustrade — a layout so common in North Miami's newer townhome developments that we have a template for the submission. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that bends around the balustrade, and parked the brown-upholstered seat at the upper floor level where it meets the hallway. Framed art hangs on the wall beside the landing, and the modern interior with its chandelier above is unchanged. Mrs. Delacroix's mother steps off directly onto the flat hallway floor.

NW 7th Avenue bungalow — straight rail tucked beside furniture on tile treads

NW 7th Avenue area, FL Installed January 2026

Mme. Joseph's 1950s bungalow near NW 7th Avenue has a compact staircase tucked beside a wooden sideboard with a potted plant — the kind of cozy, traditional interior common in North Miami's original postwar housing stock. The stone-topped treads are original to the 1950s construction. We installed a straight rail with a brown-upholstered seat that parks at the bottom next to the sideboard. The compact space required precise placement, but the narrow-profile rail cleared walls on both sides with room to spare.

Arch Creek — outdoor lift on a raised stone-paved CBS entry

Arch Creek, FL Installed December 2025

The Morrisons' 1968 CBS home in the Arch Creek area has a raised front entry with four exterior stone-paved steps — built to South Florida's flood elevation code of the era. The outdoor lift has a cream weather-resistant seat, stainless fasteners rated for Biscayne Bay salt air, and an IP54 sealed motor housing. Natural daylight floods the covered porch area, and the rough natural stone paving at the entry was left intact. The concrete block substrate gave the anchors a hold that poured-concrete installs rarely match.

Griffing Park two-story — brown seat on carpeted stairs at the landing

Griffing Park, FL Installed November 2025

Mr. Beaumont's two-story in Griffing Park has a carpeted staircase with a tiled landing at the bottom — a common layout in the neighborhood's updated CBS homes. He called four days after knee replacement surgery, and his wife had been sleeping on the couch to be near him. We installed a straight rail on the carpeted treads with a brown-upholstered seat that blends with the carpet tones. The seat parks at the landing where wall-mounted light switches mark the transition from tiled entry to carpeted stairs. Mr. Beaumont rode it to his bedroom the day after install.

Platform Lift

NE 125th Street — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a post-stroke resident

NE 125th Street corridor, FL Installed October 2025

Dr. Ramachandran's newer construction home near NE 125th Street has an indoor stairway from the entry level to the main living floor. After a stroke left him wheelchair-dependent, the family needed a solution that did not require transferring to a seat. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip surface, yellow high-visibility safety edges, and a white handrail along the indoor stairway. The orange-toned walls and window beside the staircase frame the installation. Dr. Ramachandran rolls his wheelchair onto the platform and rides up independently — no transfers, no assistance needed.

Common Questions

Everything North Miami Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in North Miami right now?

Straight rails in the typical North Miami CBS two-story — a single straight run, 12-14 feet — run $2,800 to $5,500 fully installed. That covers the rail, chair, installation labor, battery backup, and the first service visit. Curved rails for homes with a landing or turn run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is fabricated to your exact staircase. We issue written quotes itemized line by line — no bundled pricing that hides what you're actually paying for.

Are there extra costs because of North Miami's older housing stock?

Rarely. Concrete block (CBS) construction from the 1950s and 1960s is actually easier to anchor into than modern framed construction — the stair treads are solid and the substrate doesn't flex. Terrazzo floors require a slightly different mounting approach than carpet or hardwood, and we account for that in the initial assessment. If we find anything unusual during the visit that would affect cost, we tell you before the quote is finalized.

Do you charge extra for bilingual or interpreter service?

No. Assessments in Spanish are standard — our specialist Luis is bilingual and schedules Spanish-language visits without any surcharge. For Haitian Creole-speaking households, we coordinate with an interpretation service and absorb that cost. Every quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish. We shouldn't charge extra to communicate clearly — that's just how we do business in Miami-Dade.

Can I finance the purchase, and how does that work?

Yes — financing starts from $79 per month. Application is a soft credit pull (no score impact), takes about four minutes, and approval is usually the same day. Many North Miami families combine financing with the IRS medical deduction or a partial VA HISA grant to reduce the monthly figure further. We model the math during the free assessment so you can decide with full information.

A word from Luis

North Miami doesn't get the attention that Coral Gables and Aventura do, but it's one of the most interesting stairlift markets in Miami-Dade. The housing stock here runs from 1950s and 1960s CBS construction — concrete block, solid as a bunker, usually with a straight staircase up to the second floor — to the newer townhome developments near Biscayne Boulevard and the mix of renter and owner households that spans nearly every demographic in South Florida.

We work in English, Spanish, and coordinate with Haitian Creole interpreters for families who need that. The disability rate here is 8.6% — not the highest in the county, but consistent enough that we see a lot of post-surgery and mid-life mobility installs, not just senior aging-in-place cases. People in their 50s and 60s who've had a knee replacement, a back surgery, a stroke. Those installs are often faster decisions — there's less deliberation and more urgency. We can usually complete assessment and installation within the same week.
