Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Lee County

Lee County, FL

North Fort Myers is dominated by 55+ communities. Herons Glen has 1,300 homes around a golf course — mostly straight staircases with oak treads. Old Bridge Village has 700 manufactured homes on canals; stair widths run 28–30 inches, needing slim-rail straight lifts. Pine Lakes Country Club and El Rio Condominiums have compact, often carpeted stairs — most jobs finish in under 3 hours. Canal-front homes in Lochmoor Waterway Estates were built in the 1960s–70s with wider stairs but many have landing turns needing curved rails. Eagle Estates and Slater Road manufactured-home communities need outdoor lifts on porch entries — Caloosahatchee humidity means marine-grade rails. Straight lifts dominate; curved is about one in six installs.

Straight

Oak-Tread Straight Lift in Herons Glen

Herons Glen, FL Installed March 2026

Herons Glen homes built in the 1990s have solid oak staircases — dark hardwood treads, standard 36-inch width. This straight rail bolted directly onto the treads with five mounting brackets, no wall anchors needed. The cream seat at the bottom landing parks neatly against the baseboard. Battery backup tested fine; the homeowner's son was visiting from Ohio and watched the whole install.

Curved Rail at Upper Landing in Lochmoor

Lochmoor Waterway Estates, FL Installed January 2026

1968-built canal-front home with a 90-degree turn at the upper landing. The curved rail arrived in three pre-bent sections, joined on site with precision couplers. Brown leather seat parks at the top floor beside an original chandelier the homeowners wanted left in place — we worked around it. Laser measurement took 60 minutes; fabrication took 12 days.

Straight

Compact Straight Lift in Old Bridge Village

Old Bridge Village, FL Installed February 2026

The manufactured home had stone-tile treads and a 29-inch stair width — too narrow for standard rails. We used the slim-rail system, which mounts flush against the tread edge and leaves 18 inches of passable width when the seat is folded. The brown seat parked at the bottom beside a wooden sideboard. Tile treads required carbide drill bits; install still finished in three hours.

Outdoor Porch Lift in Eagle Estates

Eagle Estates, FL Installed April 2026

Porch entry with rough stone paving and seven steps up from the driveway. Marine-grade stainless rail, IP55-sealed motor housing — non-negotiable with Caloosahatchee humidity. Cream seat with weatherproof vinyl upholstery. Rail anchored into concrete porch slab with epoxy-set bolts. The homeowner's wife had been avoiding the front steps for months after a fall on the stone pavers.

Straight

Carpeted-Stair Straight Lift in Pine Lakes

Pine Lakes Country Club, FL Installed May 2026

Standard Pine Lakes manufactured home with beige carpeted stairs — the carpet pile matched the seat upholstery shade closely, so the lift blended in immediately. Straight rail mounted through the carpet into the plywood treads beneath, no subfloor damage. The homeowner, 78, had been avoiding the upstairs bathroom for months. She used the lift three times during our demo walkthrough alone.

Wheelchair Platform Lift in Waterway Estates

Waterway Estates, FL Installed December 2025

Indoor inclined wheelchair platform for a 1960s Waterway Estates home. Flat black deck with yellow safety edges, white handrail, no seat — the homeowner stays in his chair for the ride. Platform folds up against the wall when not in use. Concrete treads required anchoring into the slab. 600 lb capacity tested with the homeowner and his chair combined. He operates it solo with a wireless remote.

Common Questions

Everything North Fort Myers Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in North Fort Myers?

A straight stairlift starts at $2,800 installed. Curved lifts start at $9,000 because each rail is custom-bent to your specific staircase. Outdoor lifts for porch entries start at $4,000 — these need marine-grade components for the Caloosahatchee humidity. Heavy-duty lifts (up to 600 lb) start at $5,050. All prices include the assessment, rail, carriage, installation, and a 5-year warranty. We give you a firm quote at the assessment — no surprise charges.

Are there hidden fees or add-ons with North Fort Myers stairlift installation?

No. The quote Luis gives you at the assessment is the price you pay. It covers the rail, carriage, seat, installation labor, battery backup, and operator training. The only variable is if your staircase has an unusual turn geometry requiring extra rail sections — and Luis will show you exactly why on the measurement report before you sign anything. No trip charge for the assessment either.

Can I finance a stairlift in Lee County?

Yes. Financing starts at $79 a month. We work with third-party lenders who offer 12- to 60-month terms. Luis can run the numbers with you at the assessment — you'll know your monthly payment before you commit. Many North Fort Myers residents use financing even when they have grant money coming, because the grant reimbursement takes 4–8 weeks and the stairlift can be installed next week.

Is a stairlift cheaper than moving to a single-story home in North Fort Myers?

Almost always. A straight stairlift at $2,800 compares to about $15,000–$25,000 in moving costs when you factor in real estate commissions, closing costs, movers, and the price premium on single-story homes in Lee County. And for residents in 55+ communities like Old Bridge Village or Pine Lakes, moving means giving up a paid-off home and established social network. A stairlift keeps you in place for the cost of a used car.

A word from Luis

North Fort Myers is different from most markets I work. You drive down Bayshore Road or Slater and it's 55+ community after 55+ community — Herons Glen, Pine Lakes, Old Bridge Village, El Rio. The housing stock tells the story: about two-thirds of my installs here are straight lifts going into manufactured homes built in the 70s and 80s, where the staircase is 30 inches wide at best. Those slim-rail straight lifts bolt right onto the treads and the whole job is done before lunch.

The canal-front homes in Lochmoor and Waterway Estates are a different beast — wider stairs from the 60s build era, but a lot have that one turn at the landing that means a curved rail. And outdoor installs here have to handle the Caloosahatchee humidity. I spec marine-grade stainless on every exterior rail, every time. The river humidity will eat through anything less in about three summers.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

North Fort Myers has built its identity around retirement living, and that means a lot of stairlifts in a concentrated area. From the gated golf community of Herons Glen to the canal-side manufactured homes in Old Bridge Village, the housing stock here is predictable — which means we know exactly what equipment each home needs before we even pull up. Most installs happen in a morning. The rail bolts to the treads, not the wall, so your drywall stays untouched.

If you're the adult daughter searching at 11pm because your mom lives in Pine Lakes or El Rio and you just got the call about a near-miss on the stairs — call us. Luis does the assessment himself. He'll measure the staircase, give you a price on the spot, and usually have the lift installed within the week. No pressure, no sales pitch, just a stairlift that works.
