Bestseller

The workhorse of Cape Coral's CBS homes — from Surfside two-stories to Northwest Cape ranches. Over 70% of the stairlifts we install across Cape Coral are this model. A single straight run, the rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the battery backup keeps you moving through the next summer afternoon outage on FPL's aging Cape grid. Most single-story ranch and two-story CBS installs wrap in under four hours.

Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Lee County

Lee County, FL

Southwest Cape — Tarpon Point, Cape Harbour, Surfside Boulevard — has the newest two-story construction and accounts for most curved-rail installs because developers built 90-degree landings into the floor plans. Southeast Cape took the worst of Hurricane Ian's storm surge; post-Ian raised-home rebuilds here drive a third of our outdoor entry-lift calls. Northwest Cape is the oldest section, where 1960s CBS ranches have settled into the sandy substrate and we regularly shim rail brackets for uneven treads. The Pelican and Yacht Club neighborhoods sit along the Caloosahatchee where salt air demands stainless fasteners on every exterior component. Burnt Store in the far north mixes gated golf communities and canal-front estates where HOA architectural review boards require documentation packets before exterior work — we have templates on file for the major associations.

Southwest Cape two-story — straight rail on tile treads, three-hour install

Southwest Cape, FL Installed March 2026

A 2007 two-story CBS home along the Surfside Boulevard corridor with wide porcelain-tile stairs and a clear straight run to the upper bedrooms. Mrs. Brennan had a knee replacement scheduled for May and wanted the lift operational before she came home from surgery. We bolted a straight rail to the dark hardwood-toned tile treads on the right side, the beige seat folding flat against the wall at the bottom landing. Salt-air stainless fastener package and sealed motor housing included as standard on every Cape Coral install. Her husband barely notices it when he walks up carrying groceries.

Tarpon Point estate — curved rail past a 90-degree marble landing

Southwest Cape, FL Installed February 2026

A 2004 waterfront estate in the Tarpon Point marina district with marble treads, a 90-degree landing turn, and a homeowner who was clear the rail must not look like medical equipment. We digitally scanned the staircase on the first visit, fabricated a curved rail that bends around the half-wall balustrade at the upper landing, and color-matched the rail finish to the existing iron-and-glass railing. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the upper floor landing where Mr. Giordano steps off directly onto the hallway. Framed art lines the stairway wall and a chandelier hangs above — his boat club guests don't notice the rail unless he points it out.

Northwest Cape 1960s ranch — compact straight rail on stone treads beside family furniture

Northwest Cape, FL Installed January 2026

A 1964 CBS ranch in the original Northwest Cape grid with stone-tiled interior stairs and settled treads from 60 years on sandy fill. A wooden sideboard and potted plant sit at the base of the narrow stairway — the compact, traditional layout left minimal clearance. We shimmed the rail brackets at three points to compensate for the foundation settlement, mounted a brown-upholstered seat on a straight rail beside the sideboard, and the chair folds flat against the wall so the cozy cottage-width hallway stays clear. Mrs. Kowalski's daily path runs from the first-floor kitchen to the upstairs bedrooms eight times a day.

Southeast Cape post-Ian raised entry — outdoor lift on stone-paved porch steps

Southeast Cape, FL Installed December 2025

The Watkins home was slab-on-grade before Hurricane Ian. After the storm, the rebuild raised the living floor 4 feet to meet the new FEMA base flood elevation — creating rough stone-paved exterior porch steps that never existed before. Mr. Watkins is a retired Marine who qualified for a HISA grant through Bay Pines. We anchored a cream weather-resistant seat on the stone paving at the front porch entry, with natural daylight washing the covered entry from above. Stainless hardware, IP55 sealed motor housing, UV-stabilized upholstery. It has run through one full hurricane season without a service call.

Surfside corridor two-story — straight rail on carpeted stairs with landing transition

Surfside, FL Installed November 2025

A 2001 two-story CBS home in the Surfside corridor with carpeted stairs running from the tiled ground floor to the upper bedroom level. Mrs. Chambers wanted a stairlift that wouldn't stand out against the brown carpet — the brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet tones on the treads so closely that visitors walk past it without a second look. Wall-mounted light switches mark the landing area where the chair parks at the top. She uses it eight to ten times a day between the upstairs bedrooms and the first-floor kitchen, and the folded seat clears the shared hallway completely.

Platform Lift

Southwest Cape split-level — indoor wheelchair platform lift for full-time chair user

Southwest Cape, FL Installed October 2025

Mr. Delgado uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. His Southwest Cape split-level has an interior stairway between the garage-level entry and the main living floor with orange-toned walls and a window at the landing. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift — a flat black anti-slip platform with high-visibility yellow safety edges and a white handrail. Mr. Delgado rolls his chair onto the platform, locks in place, and rides between levels without assistance. This is not a seated stairlift — it's a platform designed for someone who stays in their wheelchair for the entire ride.

Common Questions

Everything Cape Coral Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Cape Coral right now?

Straight rails in standard Cape Coral homes — the CBS ranches in Northwest Cape, the two-story builds in Surfside, the post-Ian raised entries in Southeast Cape — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for homes with a landing turn or split-level entry run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor weather-sealed models for raised entries and canal-side porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Does the salt-air canal environment affect pricing?

No. Every Cape Coral install ships with stainless-steel fasteners and sealed motor housings as our baseline spec — we don't charge extra for living on a canal. Standard zinc-plated hardware corrodes within 2–3 seasons in the Cape's saltwater canal air, so we eliminated that option entirely for Lee County. What can add a small labor charge is compensating rail mounts for foundation-settled treads in the older Northwest Cape homes where 60 years of sandy fill compression has shifted the stair geometry. We tell you that line item upfront.

Are post-Hurricane Ian raised-entry lifts more expensive?

The equipment cost is the same. What changes is the install configuration — a home that was slab-on-grade before Ian and now sits on a raised foundation typically needs an outdoor-rated straight rail for the new entry stairs. Those run $4,000 to $7,500 depending on rise height and weather-sealing requirements. We've installed over 80 post-Ian entry lifts across Cape Coral and Fort Myers Beach since 2023. If your rebuild contractor is still on-site, we can coordinate mounting points before the stair finishing so the install goes faster.

Any hidden fees for HOA or golf community installs?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. We've worked with Burnt Store Marina, Coral Oaks, the Preserve at Corkscrew, Pelican Preserve in Fort Myers, and a dozen other Lee County associations — the reasonable-accommodation letters are already templated. What can add cost (rarely) is when a board requires its own engineer's letter for exterior work. If that happens, we tell you before we start.

A word from Luis

Most Cape Coral families call me after a near-miss on an outdoor entry — a wet step coming off the lanai during a summer rain, a parent who stopped using the upstairs bedrooms after Hurricane Ian because the rebuilt stairs feel different underfoot, a son in Ohio who saw his mother gripping the canal-side railing with both hands just to reach the mailbox.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
