Stairlift Service Across Lee County

Lee County, FL

From the 1920s Craftsman bungalows of Edison Park — where preserving original Dade County pine treads and arched doorframes drives every install decision — to the Mediterranean Revival estates along McGregor Boulevard with sweeping wrought-iron staircases that only a custom curved rail can serve, our team has installed in every neighborhood in Fort Myers. Dean Park cottages have post-Hurricane Ian foundation settling that requires shimmed brackets. Seminole Park homes off McGregor have the narrow 1960s stair widths that need our slim-profile rail. Town & River Estates raised porches face southern exposure that kills standard lubricants in two seasons.

1926 Edison Park bungalow — straight rail on original hardwood treads

Edison Park, FL Installed March 2026

A 1926 Craftsman bungalow in Edison Park with original Dade County pine treads, dark-stained and open-tread, and a homeowner who made clear no contractor was going to damage the millwork her late husband spent twenty years restoring. We bolted the straight rail directly into the hardwood treads on the right side — never touched the wall, the banister, or the original plaster. The beige seat parks unfolded at the bottom landing in the warm indoor light of the foyer. Mrs. Callahan's book club met the following week and two members asked for our number before dessert.

McGregor Boulevard estate — curved rail bends past a 1930s Mediterranean banister

McGregor Boulevard, FL Installed February 2026

A 1935 Mediterranean Revival on McGregor Boulevard with a sweeping curved staircase and wrought-iron railings. The curved rail bends around a half-wall balustrade at the upper floor landing, and the brown-upholstered seat parks at the top hallway where Mr. Harrington steps off onto flat floor. A chandelier hangs above the landing and framed art lines the wall — neither was touched. His wife said the first ride back upstairs to their bedroom was the first normal evening they had shared in three months.

Dean Park cottage — straight rail on stone treads in a compact stairwell

Dean Park, FL Installed January 2026

A 1920s cottage in Dean Park with stone-and-stucco entry steps and a compact stairwell next to a wooden cabinet and a potted plant the Kowalskis refused to move. The stone treads were uneven from decades of subtropical settling and Hurricane Ian patches. We core-drilled through the stone veneer, shimmed the brackets to level the ride, and mounted a brown-upholstered seat that parks at the bottom beside the sideboard. The traditional cottage feel of the entry is unchanged — cozy, compact, and warm.

Town & River Estates — outdoor lift on stone-paver porch entry

Town & River Estates, FL Installed December 2025

A raised front porch in Town & River Estates with rough natural stone paving at the entry and six steps from the driveway to the front door. Natural daylight floods the covered porch from above. Mr. Crawford qualified for a HISA grant through the Lee County VA Clinic in Cape Coral. We anchored the weather-sealed rail into the stone substrate, mounted the cream-colored seat rated for Florida's direct sun and daily summer storms, and sealed every component against the salt air off the Caloosahatchee. The rail ran through its first full hurricane season without a service call.

Seminole Park bungalow — straight rail on carpeted stairs after knee surgery

Seminole Park, FL Installed November 2025

A 1960s bungalow in Seminole Park with eleven carpet-covered treads to the second floor and all three bedrooms upstairs. Mrs. Brennan had a total knee replacement and her surgeon cleared her for limited stair use — once a day, slowly. We drilled through the carpet pile into the wooden treads beneath, mounted a brown-upholstered seat that matches the carpet tones, and installed a swivel-exit at the landing. Wall-mounted light switches on the stairwell wall were left untouched. Her son in Michigan said it was the first time in weeks he slept without checking his phone at 2 a.m.

Platform Lift

River District townhome — indoor inclined wheelchair platform with yellow safety edges

Downtown River District, FL Installed October 2025

A 2017 townhome in the Downtown River District where Mr. Santiago, a full-time wheelchair user after a spinal injury sustained during Army service, needed access between the garage-level entry and the main living floor. We installed an inclined indoor platform lift on the stairway — a flat black anti-slip deck with yellow high-visibility safety edges around the full perimeter, a white handrail, and interlocked gates at both levels. The orange-toned stairwell walls and natural window light keep the space residential. Mr. Santiago rolls from his adapted truck onto the platform and reaches the main floor in seconds. His HISA grant through the Lee County VA Clinic covered the equipment cost, and SMMC-LTC covered installation labor.

Common Questions

Everything Fort Myers Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Fort Myers right now?

Straight rails in standard Fort Myers homes — the Edison Park bungalows, the Seminole Park cottages, the McGregor Boulevard ranches — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for the sweeping Mediterranean staircases along McGregor and the split-level landings in older Cape Coral homes run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front porches and pool-deck entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Does living on McGregor Boulevard or in a historic district cost more?

Equipment prices are identical regardless of your address. What can vary slightly is install labor when unusual conditions exist: threading a curved rail past wrought-iron balusters in a 1930s Mediterranean, core-drilling through terrazzo treads, or compensating for post-Hurricane Ian foundation settling in Dean Park. We itemize every line on the written quote. No surprise premiums for historic neighborhoods.

Is the assessment really free?

Yes. Luis drives to your home anywhere in Lee County, measures with a laser, answers every question, and leaves you with a written quote. No charge, no deposit, no obligation, no follow-up sales calls. The quote is honored for 30 days.

Do you charge travel fees for Cape Coral or Bonita Springs?

No. We cover all of Lee County — Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Estero, Lehigh Acres, Sanibel, Fort Myers Beach — with zero travel surcharge. Our Southwest Florida team is based locally, not driving down from Tampa.

A word from Luis

Fort Myers is where I spend a third of my week. One in five residents here is over 65, and a lot of them are living in the same Edison Park bungalow or McGregor Boulevard ranch they bought thirty years ago when the stairs were easy.

I drive to your home the same day you call, measure with a laser, and leave you with a written quote honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. If you're a veteran, I'll have the HISA paperwork started before I leave your driveway.
