A single straight run, the rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up, and the battery backup keeps you moving through the next PSPS shutoff. Stairlift Service Across Los Angeles County

Los Angeles County, CA

From 1920s Spanish colonials in Hancock Park and Windsor Square to the hillside lots of Mount Washington and Silver Lake, from Sherman Oaks split-levels off Valley Vista to the post-and-pier bungalows of Venice and Echo Park, our team has mapped the stair geometry of every LA submarket. We know which Valley streets have the half-landing turns that need curved rails. We know which Laurel Canyon addresses require UV-rated outdoor covers because Santa Ana winds bake the seat by September. We know which Marina del Rey towers enforce a 10-day ARB review before a single bolt goes in. We also serve Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Burbank, Culver City, Santa Monica, and Ladera Heights with the same 24-hour response and zero travel surcharge.

1926 Hancock Park Spanish colonial — rail color-matched to original mahogany on Rossmore

Hancock Park, CA Installed March 2026

A 1926 Spanish colonial on Rossmore Avenue with original mahogany banister, Batchelder tile risers, and hand-troweled plaster the family spent six years restoring. The daughter’s first words were ‘do not touch the banister.’ We brought walnut and mahogany finish samples to the first visit, matched the rail to the 99-year-old handrail wood, and bolted the track into the dark hardwood treads without contacting a single spindle. The rail parks flush at the bottom landing and practically disappears against the original oak stair treads.

90° curved rail past the half-wall in a Sherman Oaks modern two-story

Sherman Oaks, CA Installed February 2026

A modern two-story in Sherman Oaks with a 90° turn at the upper landing where the staircase bends around a half-wall balustrade. A straight rail was impossible. We laser-scanned the staircase, custom-fabricated a curved rail that threads the turn past the balustrade, and installed in a single afternoon. The brown-upholstered chair parks flush at the upper floor landing beneath the chandelier, and Mr. Tanaka swivels 90° to step off directly onto the hallway. Framed art on the adjacent wall stayed untouched.

Compact straight rail in a 1923 Venice cottage beside the entryway credenza

Venice, CA Installed January 2026

A 1923 Venice post-and-pier cottage with stone-look tile treads and a cozy entry where a wooden credenza and potted plant sit right beside the bottom step. Space was tight — the rail had to clear the furniture without blocking the narrow hallway. We mounted a slim-profile straight rail on the tile treads, added a folding footrest so the seat tucks flat when parked, and Mrs. Pendergast can still reach her front door and entryway cabinet without squeezing past anything. The cottage charm stayed intact.

Stone-paved front porch entry in Echo Park — outdoor seat with marine-grade hardware

Echo Park, CA Installed December 2025

A raised front porch on a 1940s Echo Park hillside home with natural stone paving at the entry and five exterior steps up to the front door. Mr. Marcos needed a weather-resistant outdoor stairlift after a stroke made the front steps dangerous. We anchored the rail into the stone treads with stainless fasteners, sealed the motor housing against marine-layer humidity and Santa Ana ash, and installed a cream-colored UV-rated seat that handles the afternoon sun on the west-facing entry. The outdoor carpeted tread at the bottom landing keeps footing safe when wet.

Koreatown duplex — brown seat on carpeted stairs, full consultation in Korean

Koreatown, CA Installed November 2025

A 1952 Koreatown duplex with carpeted stairs and a landing between floors. Mrs. Kim, 81, had been sleeping downstairs for two months because the staircase had become impossible. The brown-upholstered seat blends into the carpet tones so the lift almost disappears on the stairway. We booked a Korean phone interpreter for the assessment and user training so every safety feature — seatbelt, key lock, manual descent crank — was explained in Korean. The tiled floor at the bottom landing gives her solid footing when she steps off.

Platform Lift

Indoor wheelchair platform lift in a Pacific Palisades split-level

Pacific Palisades, CA Installed October 2025

Dr. Ashford’s wife uses a power wheelchair and needed access between the entry level and the main living area in their Pacific Palisades split-level — a half-flight of six indoor steps that made the house completely inaccessible. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip deck and yellow high-visibility safety edges along both sides. The white handrail runs the full length of the indoor stairway. A keyed call station at the lower landing lets a caretaker summon the platform, and the 48-hour battery handles every PSPS shutoff SCE throws at the Palisades circuit.

Common Questions

Everything Los Angeles Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Los Angeles right now?

Straight rails in a standard two-story LA home — Mar Vista, Eagle Rock, Cheviot Hills — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, common in Hancock Park 1920s Spanish colonials and Sherman Oaks split-levels with mid-landing turns, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact stair geometry. Outdoor hillside runs in Mount Washington, Silver Lake, and Laurel Canyon run $6,500 to $14,000 depending on length. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the rail, seat, battery backup sized for PSPS, and the first service visit.

Are prices higher on the Westside or in Beverly Hills than in the Valley?

Equipment prices are identical from Boyle Heights to Bel Air. We do not inflate quotes for a 90210, 90272, or 90024 ZIP. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual site conditions — historic banister preservation in Windsor Square, long hillside rails in Mount Washington, ARB submission windows at Marina del Rey or West Hollywood condo buildings, and PSPS-rated battery upgrades in Pacific Palisades. Those line items show up on the written quote before you sign, never after.

Do you charge extra for Spanish or Korean language service?

No. Every Los Angeles assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — our installer Luis is bilingual, and every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish at no charge. For Korean-speaking families in Koreatown and along Wilshire, and for Armenian-speaking families in Little Armenia and East Hollywood, we schedule a phone interpreter at zero surcharge. It is how business should be done in a city where 48.5% of residents speak a language other than English at home.

Are there hidden fees for HOA condo buildings in DTLA or Marina del Rey?

Our quote includes the California Civil Code §4760 accommodation paperwork we prepare on your behalf — we have worked with more than 30 LA condo boards from the Ritz-Carlton Residences in South Park to Marina City Club. The forms are templated. What can occasionally add cost is when a building demands its own structural-engineer letter (rare, usually in older Wilshire Corridor high-rises) or an ARB submission cycle that forces a specific install window. If that happens we tell you before we start, not after.

A word from Luis

Most LA families call me after the ground has already shifted — a fall on the front steps of a Mount Washington hillside house with 47 treads from the street, a parent who hasn’t left a Sherman Oaks split-level in six weeks after a knee replacement, a daughter calling from San Francisco worried about her mother alone in Hancock Park during the next PSPS shutoff.

My job is simple: get to your house within 24 hours, laser-measure the stairs once, and give you a written price that is honored for 30 days. No pressure, no upsells, no ‘Westside premium.’ En español si lo prefiere. 한국어는 통역사를 통해 가능합니다.

If someone in your household is avoiding the stairs — sleeping downstairs, skipping the second floor, or relying on a family member to get up and down — that problem does not fix itself. Call or fill out the form above for a free in-home assessment. Luis will be at your door within 24 hours, measure your stairs with a laser, and leave you with a written quote honored for 30 days. No sales pitch. No pressure. No charge. En español si lo prefiere.
