Stairlift Service Across Los Angeles County

Los Angeles County, CA

From the 1920s Spanish Colonials of Rossmoyne and Adams Hill — built into the Verdugo hillsides with terrazzo stairs, original wrought-iron banisters, and multi-level entries — to the 1950s ranch homes of Sparr Heights and Montecito Park, where split-level layouts and straight carpeted runs dominate, our team has mapped every staircase pattern in Glendale. We know which Verdugo Woodlands hillside homes have the exterior staircase to a lower garage that requires a weather-sealed outdoor rail, which College Hills duplexes have the narrow treads that need a compact folding seat, and which Downtown Glendale condo buildings require a second round of HOA approval from the architectural review committee. Grandview on the east side has the mix of 1940s bungalows and 1970s townhomes that accounts for nearly a quarter of our Glendale installs.

1928 Rossmoyne Spanish Colonial — beige seat on terrazzo treads, ironwork untouched

Rossmoyne, CA Installed March 2026

A 1928 Spanish Colonial in Rossmoyne with dark hardwood-toned terrazzo stairs and original wrought-iron banisters the family refused to alter. We matched the beige seat upholstery to the warm earth tones of the interior, bolted the rail into the treads without touching a single iron spindle, and positioned the lower park point behind the foyer archway so the lift is out of sight from the front door. Grandmother Krikorian rides it morning and evening — the grandchildren barely notice it's there.

Curved

90° curved rail in an Adams Hill Mediterranean — brown seat parks at upper landing

Adams Hill, CA Installed February 2026

A 1932 Mediterranean Revival on Adams Hill with a sweeping staircase and a 90-degree turn at the upper landing. The decorative chandelier and framed art on the wall had to stay. We digitally scanned the staircase, custom-fabricated a curved rail that threads past the original iron balustrade, and mounted the brown-upholstered seat so it parks flush at the upper hallway. Mr. Hovannisian swivels 90 degrees and steps off onto flat floor — no balancing on the top tread. The consultation was conducted in Armenian with his son translating the technical specs.

Straight

Compact straight rail in a 1955 Sparr Heights ranch — brown seat next to the hall cabinet

Sparr Heights, CA Installed January 2026

A 1955 ranch in Sparr Heights with stone-tile treads and a wooden sideboard cabinet at the base of the stairs that Mrs. Petrosyan's family has kept since the 1970s. We mounted the brown-upholstered seat on the compact-profile rail, positioned the lower park so the folded chair clears the cabinet by three inches, and used masonry anchors rated for the tile. The cottage character is untouched. Mrs. Petrosyan told us in Armenian that the lift must not 'look like a hospital' — her daughter confirmed it doesn't.

Outdoor

Outdoor rail on stone paving at a Verdugo Woodlands hillside entry

Verdugo Woodlands, CA Installed December 2025

The Balian home in Verdugo Woodlands sits on a steep hillside with a stone-paved entry and exterior porch steps exposed to Southern California sun and occasional fire-season ash. We installed the cream-colored outdoor seat on a UV-sealed rail anchored into the rough stone paving, added a weather hood over the controls, and tested the battery backup for fire-evacuation readiness. Mr. Balian uses a cane after a stroke and the exterior stairs had become impassable. The keyed call station at the lower level means he rides from the garage to the front door without assistance.

Carpeted stairs in a Montecito Park two-story — swivel seat at the landing

Montecito Park, CA Installed November 2025

A 1960s two-story in Montecito Park with 14 carpeted treads and a landing that opens to the upstairs hallway. Mrs. Derderian's daughter called from San Francisco after hearing her mother had stopped sleeping upstairs. We installed the brown-upholstered seat on a straight rail that runs along the carpet-covered treads, with the swivel-exit feature so the chair rotates 90 degrees at the upper landing. She stands on the hallway carpet instead of the top step. Mrs. Derderian slept upstairs that same night for the first time in five months.

Platform Lift

Indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges in a College Hills duplex

College Hills, CA Installed October 2025

Mr. Avedisian lives in a 1940s College Hills duplex and uses a power wheelchair after a spinal condition made transfers unsafe. His indoor stairway between the main floor and the bedrooms is too narrow for a standard seat lift with a wheelchair beside it. We installed an inclined platform lift with a flat black anti-slip deck and yellow high-visibility safety edges on all sides. The platform folds up against the wall when not in use so the stairs remain passable. His grandchildren still use the stairs freely around the lift. The entire consultation happened in Armenian at his kitchen table.

Common Questions

Everything Glendale Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Glendale right now?

Straight rails in standard Glendale homes — the Sparr Heights ranches, the Montecito Park split-levels, the Grandview townhomes — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, common in Rossmoyne and Adams Hill Spanish Colonials with landings, mid-floor turns, and terrazzo treads, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your staircase geometry. Outdoor models for hillside entries and garage-to-house transitions in the Verdugo Hills run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Glendale than other LA County cities?

Equipment prices are the same across Los Angeles County — we don't inflate quotes for Rossmoyne or Adams Hill addresses. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: preserving terrazzo stair details in pre-war Spanish Colonials, navigating condo-board paperwork timelines in Downtown Glendale buildings, and the occasional electrical upgrade in a 1920s hillside home. We tell you the line items upfront. No surprise premiums.

Do you charge extra for Armenian-language consultations?

No. We work with a network of Armenian-speaking assessors who serve Glendale, Burbank, and the Verdugo Hills corridor. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Armenian upon request. Zero surcharge. In a city where an estimated 40% of the population speaks Armenian at home, this is how every contractor should operate.

Any hidden fees for condo or HOA buildings in Downtown Glendale?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you — we've worked with 20+ Glendale buildings from the Brand Boulevard high-rises to the Montecito Park townhome complexes, so the submission templates are already prepared. What can occasionally add cost is when a building requires its own engineer's letter or a separate architectural review board submission. If that happens, we tell you before we start.

A word from Luis

Most Glendale families call me after something has already gone wrong — a fall on the steep stairs in a Rossmoyne Spanish Colonial, a grandmother in Sparr Heights who hasn't been upstairs in four months since her hip surgery, an adult son in Pasadena calling because his Armenian-speaking mother in Adams Hill won't leave the house she's owned since 1978.

My job is simple: get to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. Menk hayeren khosenk — if you prefer.
