Stairlift Service Across Bexar County

Bexar County, TX

Live Oak sits at the junction of I-35 and Loop 1604, about 15 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio. Bridlewood Park has wider staircases in homes built from the late 1990s onward — straight-rail installs go quickly here. Auburn Hills at Woodcrest is newer construction with open floor plans and standard-width stairs. Live Oak Village dates back to the late 1960s and includes split-level homes where curved rails handle the landing turn. Woodcrest and Randolph Hills have a mix of single-story and two-story homes, many with oak-tread staircases. Greenridge North, built around the mid-1970s, has compact floor plans with tighter stairwells. El Dorado and Valencia round out the eastern side with mostly standard straight staircases.

Straight

Oak-Tread Straight Rail in Bridlewood Park

Bridlewood Park, TX Installed February 2026

The Kowalskis' late-1990s home in Bridlewood Park has the wide oak staircase typical of the subdivision. Dark hardwood treads with a cream-colored wall made the beige seat look natural from the moment it went in. The straight 14-foot rail bolted directly into the treads — no wall anchors needed. Mrs. Kowalski uses it to get to the upstairs bedroom without waiting for her husband to spot her on the steps.

Auburn Hills at Woodcrest, TX Installed March 2026

The Reyes home in Auburn Hills at Woodcrest has a modern open floor plan with a staircase that turns 90 degrees at the upper landing near a half-wall. The curved rail was laser-measured on site, fabricated off-site, and installed in about four and a half hours. The brown upholstered seat parks at the top floor, out of the walkway.

Compact Straight Rail in Live Oak Village

Live Oak Village, TX Installed January 2026

The Nelsons' 1968 home in Live Oak Village has the original stone-tread staircase — narrower than modern builds and tucked next to a wooden sideboard in the entryway. The compact straight rail fits the tighter clearance without scraping the furniture. The brown seat sits at the bottom landing, close to the sideboard, and the rail hugs the wall side of the staircase. Three and a half hours from unboxing to test ride.

Outdoor

Outdoor Porch Install in Woodcrest

Woodcrest, TX Installed May 2026

The Simmons' front porch in Woodcrest has rough stone paving leading up to the front door — four steps that became a barrier after Mr. Simmons' knee surgery. The cream outdoor stairlift mounts to the stone with a weather-sealed track. The IP55-rated motor housing and powder-coated galvanized rail handle the humid San Antonio summers and the occasional Central Texas freeze. The lift sits outside year-round without a problem.

Randolph Hills, TX Installed April 2026

Indoor Wheelchair Platform in Greenridge North

Greenridge North, TX Installed March 2026

The Watsons' mid-1970s Greenridge North home has a compact floor plan with a staircase too narrow for a caregiver to assist with transfers. The indoor inclined platform lift carries a wheelchair directly on the flat black deck — no transferring to a seat. Yellow safety edges line the platform perimeter, and the white handrail runs the full length of the track. Mr.

Common Questions

Everything Live Oak Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Live Oak, TX?

A straight stairlift in Live Oak starts at $2,800 installed. Curved rails start at $9,000 because each rail is bent to your exact stair geometry after a laser measurement. Outdoor units start at $4,000, and heavy-duty models rated for 600 lb start at $5,050. These are installed prices — no hidden freight or trip charges. We also offer financing from $79/month.

Are there any extra fees for an install in Live Oak?

No. The price Luis quotes at the assessment is the price you pay. We do not charge a trip fee for Live Oak — we are local. The assessment is free and takes about 20 minutes. If you decide to move forward, installation is typically the same week.

How does the cost of a stairlift in Live Oak compare to other nearby cities?

Our pricing is flat across the northeast San Antonio suburbs — the same $2,800 straight-rail price applies whether you are in Live Oak, Converse, Universal City, or Schertz. Curved rails vary by stair geometry, not by ZIP code.

What financing options are available for a stairlift in Live Oak?

We offer financing from $79/month with approved credit. Many Live Oak families also use the VA HISA grant (up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans) or the Texas STAR+PLUS HCBS waiver, which covers minor home modifications including stairlifts up to a $7,500 lifetime cap for Medicaid-eligible residents who qualify for nursing-facility level of care.

A word from Luis

Live Oak is the kind of place where I know the stair layouts by neighborhood. Bridlewood Park homes from the late '90s have that wide oak staircase — a straight rail goes up in about two and a half hours. Then you cross over into Live Oak Village, where some of those late-'60s split-levels need a curved rail because of the landing turn. Two different worlds, ten minutes apart.

The Randolph AFB connection means about a third of my installs here are for veteran families using the HISA grant. I walk them through the two forms at the assessment — the grant request and the medical-necessity letter from their VA primary care doctor at the North Bexar VA Clinic on Nacogdoches Road. For non-veterans, STAR+PLUS covers minor home modifications up to a $7,500 lifetime cap through the HCBS waiver. Either way, we get it handled without the family chasing paperwork alone.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Live Oak is a city that grew up around an interstate interchange and stayed practical. Homes range from the original 1960s builds in Live Oak Village to the newer subdivisions off Lookout Road. That mix means we see everything from tight stairwells in the older stock to wide open staircases in the 2000s-era construction — and we stock rails for all of it.

Whether you are off Shin Oak Drive near city hall or tucked into a cul-de-sac in Woodcrest, we can be at your door for a free assessment within a day or two. The measurement takes about 20 minutes. If you go ahead, install is usually the same week. Call Luis at (210) 653-9140 or fill out the form above to get a real number for your stairs.
