Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Washington County

Washington County, OR

King City stairlift installations span every corner of this 1964-vintage planned community. In the King City Civic Association core, 1960s ranch homes on streets like SW Royalty Parkway have single-flight stairs with oak treads — ideal for a 3-hour straight-rail install. The King City Highlands 55+ neighborhood up the slope of Bull Mountain features split-levels and condos with 90° landings that call for custom curved rails. Garden Villas residents near the 9-hole golf course often need outdoor lifts for porch steps. Along Jordan Way — King City's first all-ages development — and the Edgewater apartments off SW 131st, the mix of townhouses and newer construction keeps us installing straight and curved lifts weekly.

1965 Rancher on SW Royalty Parkway

King City Civic Association, OR Installed March 2026

A King City Civic Association rancher on SW Royalty Parkway — the Hendersons had lived there since 1972. Original narrow oak staircase built in 1965. Luis bolted a 14-foot straight rail to the treads in 3 hours. No wall damage, no repainting needed. Mrs. Henderson was using the lift by lunchtime.

Split-Level Curve in the Highlands

King City Highlands, OR Installed April 2026

The Delgados' Highlands split-level had a 90° turn at the upper landing — tight, with a half-wall. Luis measured the turn with the laser rig, and the factory bent the rail to match. The brown seat parks neatly at the top floor, out of the hallway. Four-hour install. The chandelier stayed right where it was.

Garden Villas Condo Near the 9th Fairway

Garden Villas, OR Installed February 2026

In a compact Garden Villas condo near the 9th fairway, the stone-tread staircase ran tight between the entry and a built-in sideboard. Luis installed a straight rail with a brown seat in just under 3 hours — all bolts into the treads, zero wall penetration. The sideboard stayed in place, and the lift tucks away at the bottom when not in use.

Porch Lift Near King City Community Park

Near King City Community Park, OR Installed January 2026

The Thompsons' rancher near King City Community Park had a steep three-step porch entry with rough flagstone paving. Luis mounted an IP55-rated outdoor straight lift along the stoop's left side — weather-sealed for Oregon's wet winters, powder-coated cream to blend with the siding. Install took 3 hours start to finish.

Carpeted Townhouse on Jordan Way

Jordan Way Corridor, OR Installed May 2026

On Jordan Way, the Reeves family's two-story townhouse had carpeted stairs with a tile landing at the base. Luis installed a 16-foot straight rail — the brown upholstery picked up the warm beige carpet tone almost exactly. The rail bolted to the treads through the carpet; no tears, no patching. Three hours, and all three floors were accessible again.

Wheelchair Platform Near Edgewater

Edgewater at King City, OR Installed April 2026

The Martins, near the Edgewater apartments off SW 131st, needed a wheelchair solution — not a seat. Luis installed an inclined platform lift on their straight staircase: flat black deck, yellow safety edges, fold-up design. The platform carries a standard wheelchair plus rider, up to 600 pounds. Indoor-rated, powered by a DC motor with full battery backup.

Common Questions

Everything King City Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a straight stairlift cost in King City, OR?

A straight stairlift in King City starts at $2,800 installed. That price covers the rail, the seat, all mounting hardware, and our team's labor — typically a 3-hour job in the 1960s-era ranch homes that make up much of the Civic Association core. The final price depends on rail length (most King City staircases run 12 to 16 feet), any power-outlet work, and whether you add options like a powered swivel seat.

What does a curved stairlift cost for a split-level home in King City?

Curved stairlifts in King City start at $9,000. The Highlands and Garden Villas neighborhoods have a lot of split-level homes with 90° landings, and each curved rail is custom-bent after a 1-hour laser measurement on site. The price includes the measurement visit, factory fabrication, installation (typically 4–5 hours), and a 5-year warranty on the motor plus a lifetime warranty on the rail.

Does the $2,800 straight-lift price include everything — or are there add-ons?

The $2,800 covers the standard straight rail, seat, installation, and cleanup. Common add-ons in King City homes include a powered swivel seat ($300–$400, helpful at tight upper landings in split-levels), folding rail for doorway clearance, and an extended warranty. We itemize everything at the free assessment — no surprise charges on install day.

How do King City stairlift prices compare to Portland or Tigard?

Our prices are identical across the Portland metro — $2,800 for straight, $9,000 for curved, whether you're in King City, Tigard, or downtown Portland. There's no travel surcharge for Washington County. The only variable is rail length and complexity, and King City's mostly-rancher housing stock often means shorter, simpler installs than the Victorians in Portland.

A word from Luis

Most King City homes were built between 1964 and 1980 — ranch styles, some split-levels, a few two-story townhouses. I've installed lifts in all of them. The Civic Association ranches are the easiest: single flight, oak treads, done by lunch. The Highlands split-levels need the laser rig for the landing turn, but the curved rail comes back from the factory fitting like a glove. A lot of my customers here bought their homes new and have no intention of moving. A stairlift lets them keep that promise to themselves.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

King City has been helping Oregonians age in place since 1964, and we've been part of that story for over 15 years. Whether you're in a 1965 rancher off SW Royalty Parkway, a split-level in the Highlands, or a Garden Villas condo with a view of the 9th fairway, a stairlift installs in one morning and lets you keep the home and neighborhood you chose decades ago.

Call or use the form on this page to schedule your free assessment. Luis will come out, measure your stairs, walk through the grant and financing options, and give you a firm quote — usually within 48 hours of your call. Most lifts go in the same week.
