Stairlift Service Across Collier County

Collier County, FL

Island Walk is a single gated community in North Naples with distinct housing zones organized around 170 acres of interconnected canals. The Aruba model townhome section on the community's north perimeter holds the two-story homes most likely to need a stairlift — poured-concrete stairs, 12-foot interior run, standard residential geometry. The Exuma Way and Cayman Lane villa corridors are single-story Capri models built for aging-in-place from day one, with zero interior stairs. The Towncenter Circle zone surrounds the Town Center with single-family Oakmont and Carlyle models — some owners here have added a half-story or finished bonus room with interior stairs. Throughout the community, DiVosta's poured-concrete construction means every tread anchor holds to spec.

Common Questions

Everything Island Walk Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a stairlift cost in Island Walk, Naples?

A straight rail for an Aruba model townhome in Island Walk — a standard 12-foot interior run with poured-concrete treads — starts at $2,800 installed. The quote includes installation, the rail, the seat, battery backup, and the first service visit. Curved rails for modified floor plans with mid-landing turns start at $9,000 because the rail is fabricated to the specific geometry.

Does the Island Walk HOA need to approve a stairlift?

Florida's Fair Housing Act (42 USC 3604(f)(3)(A)) requires the HOA to grant a reasonable accommodation for residents with documented disabilities — the HOA cannot block an interior stairlift. For exterior entry modifications, the HOA application process usually takes 10 to 14 business days. We prepare the accommodation-request paperwork at no charge and have worked with the Island Walk HOA board before.

Can I finance a stairlift at Island Walk?

Yes. Financing is available from $79/month through our lending partners — 0% APR for qualified buyers, fixed low-rate plans for others. Approval is usually instant through a soft credit pull. Many Island Walk residents pair financing with a partial HISA grant or the federal medical-expense deduction to bring the monthly cost down.

Is the stairlift cost tax-deductible in Florida?

If a licensed Florida physician prescribes the stairlift in writing, the IRS treats it as a qualified medical expense under Schedule A. Florida has no state income tax, so there is no state return to file, but the federal deduction applies fully. A written doctor's letter and itemized filing are the two requirements — we provide a letter template at no charge.

A word from Luis

Island Walk is unlike any other community I work in — 1,856 homes, median resident age over 70, and a mix of attached villas and two-story townhomes packed around 170 acres of canals. The single-story Capri villas on Exuma Way and Cayman Lane never need a stairlift. But the two-story Aruba model townhomes on the north and west sections? That interior staircase is why families call me.

DiVosta built these homes with poured concrete walls — not concrete block. That means the rail bolts into the concrete tread nosing, not a hollow interior wall. We use a longer anchor bolt and a concrete bit. Install still wraps in three hours. The reinforced construction actually makes for a more secure mount than a typical wood-frame stair. I have not had a rail shift in an Island Walk install yet.

— Luis Ramírez, Island Walk
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

If you live in one of Island Walk's two-story Aruba townhomes and the upstairs master bedroom has become out of reach, a straight stairlift goes in during a single morning — three hours, concrete-anchor mount, rail bolted to the tread nosing. We schedule within a week of the free in-home visit.

For veterans, the Naples VA Clinic on Goodlette Road processes HISA grant paperwork directly — Luis handles the contractor side. Call or fill out the form and we come to you inside Island Walk's gate within two business days.
