Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Bergen County

Bergen County, NJ

We install across all of Hasbrouck Heights' 1.5 square miles. The Boulevard Historic Core and The Heights are dominated by 1900s-1930s Colonials with original oak treads, 32-34 inch widths, and quarter-turn winders that almost always need a straight rail with a top-landing swivel. Hamilton Avenue and Franklin Avenue homes from the same era often have steeper 8-inch risers — battery-backed DC drives handle the load without straining the motor. The Wesmont townhomes near the rail station have modern 36-inch widths and clean straight runs. Terrace Avenue duplexes share a center wall, so we mount the rail to the inside studs after a quick joist check. Burton Avenue and the Aviation Plaza Capes round out our service map.

Hamilton Avenue, NJ Installed January 2026

Tight 1922 duplex with an inherited mahogany sideboard at the bottom of the stairs that the family refused to move. We routed the rail clear of the sideboard by 4 inches and parked the brown seat in the unused 12 inches between the cabinet and the wall. Stone-tile foyer floor stayed untouched.

Common Questions

Everything Hasbrouck Heights Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ?

A straight rail on a Boulevard or Hamilton Avenue Colonial runs $2,800-$4,200 installed. The Heights' quarter-turn winders push into curved territory at $9,000-$12,500. Outdoor units for porch entries on Burton or Franklin start at $4,000.

Do prices include installation in Hasbrouck Heights?

Yes. Every quote we hand a Hasbrouck Heights homeowner is fixed-price installed — rail, drive unit, seat, two remotes, battery, labor, and removal of the old stairlift if there is one. No surprises after we start drilling.

Are there any extra fees for older Hasbrouck Heights homes?

Pre-1940 homes on Boulevard and Hamilton sometimes need a 20-amp dedicated circuit at the bottom landing. If your panel is full, an electrician add-on runs $250-$400. We disclose this before signing — never after.

Will my Hasbrouck Heights HOA approve a stairlift?

Single-family homes here have no HOA. The Wesmont condo association approves indoor stairlifts as ADA-protected medical equipment under the Fair Housing Act — we have done six in that complex without issue.

A word from Luis

I have measured more 1920s Boulevard Colonials in Hasbrouck Heights than I can count. The signature here is a 32-inch tread width with a quarter-turn winder near the top — too tight for a straight rail without a custom upper bullnose, but a poor candidate for a full curved unit. We solve nine out of ten of these with a straight DC rail plus a powered swivel at the upper landing.

The Wesmont side is different — newer townhomes from the 2000s with wider 36-inch treads and a clean straight run. Those are typically a same-week install. If you are on Hamilton, Burton, or any of the older Terrace Avenue duplexes, send me a photo of your stairs from the bottom landing and I will tell you within an hour whether you need a straight or curved unit and what it will cost.

— Luis Ramírez, Hasbrouck Heights
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Hasbrouck Heights' housing stock is overwhelmingly pre-1940 — that means narrow stairs, plaster walls, and original oak you do not want to drill twice. We measure every job in person, quote a fixed price, and do not subcontract the install.

Call or text Luis at the number above with a photo of your stairs from the bottom landing. You will have a written quote in 24 hours and, for most straight runs, a working stairlift inside a week.
