Stairlift Service Across Plymouth County

Plymouth County, MA

I cover all of Hanson's historic villages. South Hanson along Route 27 is the modern center — 1960s splits and ranches with carpeted straight runs. Monponsett on East and West Monponsett Ponds has a mix of year-round capes and converted summer cottages with steep, narrow stairs. Bryantville on the Pembroke line and North Hanson near the old rail station hold the oldest antique colonials with original treads. Indian Head Pond, Gurney's Corners, Burrage, and New State round out the regular service map. Neighbors in Pembroke, Whitman, and East Bridgewater frequently refer us across town lines.

Common Questions

Everything Hanson Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Hanson?

A standard straight install in a South Hanson split-level or Route 27 ranch runs from $2,800 turnkey. That includes rail, seat, install labor, and a 5-year warranty. Most Hanson homes finish under $3,400.

How much for a curved rail in a Bryantville antique colonial?

Curved rails start at $9,000. A typical Bryantville colonial with a winder at the base lands between $11,000 and $13,500 finished, depending on rise and turn count.

Is a permit required in Plymouth County or the Town of Hanson?

Massachusetts treats residential stairlifts as accessibility devices on owner-occupied homes. Hanson Building Department does not require a permit for the lift itself. We do pull electrical permits when a new dedicated outlet is needed.

What is financing for Hanson residents?

We offer 0% promotional financing through Synchrony with payments from $79/month on qualifying orders. A typical $9,500 curved unit comes to about $159/month over 60 months.

A word from Luis

Hanson is one of the older South Shore towns I service — a lot of pre-1900 farmhouses around Bryantville and the Monponsett Pond shoreline, plus a wave of 1960s ranches and split-levels along Route 27 in South Hanson. The staircases here run narrow: 32 to 34 inches is normal, and the treads are often original pumpkin pine that I will not drill through.

Massachusetts has the strongest accessibility funding in New England — between the MassHealth Frail Elder Waiver, MassAbility (the agency formerly known as Mass Rehab Commission, renamed in 2024), and the federal HISA grant for veterans, I can usually cover 80 to 100 percent of the install cost for residents who qualify. I file the paperwork myself.

Plymouth County winters are the design constraint. Freeze-thaw cycles and nor'easters mean every battery is sealed and backed up, and outdoor units get the IP55 cover even though we are 20 miles inland from the Atlantic.

— Luis Ramírez, Hanson
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Hanson homeowners tend to stay put — the average house here changes hands every 17 years, well above the state average. Aging in place is the default plan, and a stairlift is what makes the second floor stay yours instead of becoming the storage floor.

I survey every Hanson home myself, write every quote on the spot, and stay accountable for every install for the life of the unit. No subcontractors, no commission salespeople, no surprises after signing.
