Stairlift Service Across Williamson County

Williamson County, TN

From the downtown historic district — where 1850s Victorians with original heart-pine treads and Federal-style banisters require Heritage Foundation awareness on any exterior-visible work — to Westhaven, the 1,500-home master-planned community where wide modern stairs make for fast installs, our team knows every pocket of Franklin. In Fieldstone Farms and McKays Mill, the 1990s two-story colonials almost always have a grand foyer staircase — impressive for resale, difficult after a knee replacement. In Cool Springs, condo and townhouse associations require HOA approval paperwork we template at no charge. Across Brentwood, the 1980s–1990s estates along Concord Road and Wilson Pike have curved staircases and premium millwork that demand a color-matched rail.

Fieldstone Farms colonial — straight rail on hardwood oak treads

Fieldstone Farms, TN Installed March 2026

A 1997 colonial in Fieldstone Farms with a grand foyer staircase — 15 steps of red oak treads, an Oriental runner down the center, and a homeowner who had been sleeping in the downstairs guest room since her knee replacement in January. We specified the slim-profile rail in a dark bronze finish to complement the oak, mounted it on the tread side opposite the banister so the runner stayed centered, and added a swivel-exit seat at the top landing. The chair folds flush against the wall at the bottom so the foyer looks exactly like it did before. Mrs. Whitfield sleeps in her own bedroom again.

Brentwood estate — curved rail past the upper landing and walnut millwork

Brentwood, TN Installed February 2026

A 1992 estate on Concord Road in Brentwood with a sweeping curved staircase, walnut handrail, and custom millwork. Mrs. Hargrove had fallen at the upper landing in December. We laser-scanned the entire staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that follows the arc from the foyer to the upstairs hallway, and color-matched the rail finish to the existing walnut. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the upper floor landing where she steps off onto level hallway. One ride, zero transfers. A dinner guest three weeks later complimented the rail, thinking it was part of the original woodwork.

Downtown Franklin cottage — rail on original heart-pine treads

Downtown Historic District, TN Installed January 2026

An 1870s cottage three blocks from the public square in Franklin's downtown historic district with original heart-pine treads, a steep 38-degree staircase, and a wooden sideboard at the bottom landing. The compact stairwell has a traditional cottage feel. We specified a slim-profile rail that bolts into the pine treads only, positioned the seat to fold flush next to the sideboard at the bottom, and added a slow-speed descent mode for the steep pitch. Mr. Beasley rides it six times a day between his study and the kitchen.

Thompson's Station farmhouse — outdoor lift on stone-paved front entry

Thompson's Station, TN Installed November 2025

A farmhouse-style home in Thompson's Station with a raised stone-paved front entry — six exterior steps flanked by stacked fieldstone walls. Mrs. Caldwell uses a walker and the front steps had become impassable. We installed a weather-sealed outdoor rail with a cream seat, stainless-steel hardware anchored into the concrete step treads, and a moisture-sealed IP55 motor housing rated for Tennessee's summer heat and thunderstorm rain. The rail follows the stone steps without drilling into the fieldstone walls. She walks to her mailbox from the front porch for the first time in a year.

McKays Mill two-story — carpeted stairs, three-hour install

McKays Mill, TN Installed October 2025

A 2003 two-story in McKays Mill with wall-to-wall Berber carpet on the stairs and a tiled floor at the bottom landing. Mr. Patterson had been sleeping downstairs since back surgery six weeks earlier. The rail bolts through the carpet into the plywood subtread — no pulling, no repadding, no mess. The brown-upholstered seat and folding footrest tuck flush against the wall so the staircase remains fully walkable. His wife said the install was quieter than the dishwasher. He rode the lift to his bedroom Wednesday evening and has not slept downstairs since.

Platform Lift

Cool Springs — indoor wheelchair platform lift for full-time chair user

Cool Springs, TN Installed September 2025

A two-story home near Cool Springs where Mr. Nguyen, a retired Army sergeant who served at Fort Campbell, is a full-time wheelchair user after a service-connected spinal injury. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift alongside the existing staircase — a flat anti-slip platform with bright yellow safety edges on the perimeter, white handrails, and automatic gate locks at both levels. The VA HISA grant through the Nashville Tennessee Valley Healthcare System covered $6,800. Mr. Nguyen now has access to the full upstairs — the master bedroom, the full bathroom, and the home office he had not seen in over a year.

Common Questions

Everything Franklin Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Franklin right now?

Straight rails in standard Williamson County homes — the Fieldstone Farms colonials, the McKays Mill two-stories, the Westhaven moderns — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for staircases with turns or sweeping arcs (common in Brentwood's 1990s estates along Concord Road and Wilson Pike, and in the older homes inside Franklin's downtown historic district) run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised porches and stone entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, humidity-rated battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices higher in Franklin than other Tennessee cities?

Equipment prices are the same across Tennessee — we do not inflate quotes for Brentwood or Westhaven addresses. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: curved rail fabrication for sweeping estate staircases, Heritage Foundation awareness for downtown historic district homes, and compensating brackets for settled treads in pre-1900 cottages. We itemize every line upfront. No surprise surcharges.

Is there a charge for the in-home assessment?

Zero. The home assessment is free, takes about 45 minutes, and comes with a written quote honored for 30 days. We laser-measure your staircase, check the electrical outlet, and photograph the treads and landing for the fabrication team. If you need a curved rail, the digital scan happens during this same visit — no second appointment. No obligation, no deposit, no credit card.

Do you charge extra for HOA or historic district paperwork?

No. Our quote includes all HOA reasonable-accommodation letters for Cool Springs condos, Westhaven architectural review, and Fieldstone Farms association approvals. For homes in the downtown historic district, interior stairlift installs do not require Heritage Foundation review — only exterior-visible modifications trigger that process. When an outdoor lift on a contributing structure does need a Certificate of Appropriateness, we prepare the application and attend the review at no charge.

A word from Luis

Most Franklin families call me after a near-miss on the stairs — a slip on the hardwood treads in a downtown Victorian, a parent who hasn't been upstairs in weeks after a hip replacement in a Westhaven colonial, a daughter in Atlanta worried about her mother alone in a Fieldstone Farms two-story she has lived in for 25 years.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. I cover all of Williamson County — Franklin, Brentwood, Thompson's Station, Nolensville, Spring Hill. En español si lo prefiere.
