Common Questions

Everything Frankfort Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Frankfort, IN?

Straight rails in Frankfort start at $2,800 installed — a typical Brookside Estates or East Park Addition single-flight job. Curved rails for Center Township bungalows or downtown turns start at $9,000 because the rail is laser-measured to your exact staircase. Outdoor IP55 units start at $4,000. Financing starts at $79/month.

Are there hidden fees on a Frankfort install?

No. Our Frankfort quote includes the rail, seat, installation labor, battery backup, and 5-year warranty. The only add-on would be a heavy-duty motor if the user is over 300 lb. We handle any paperwork without extra charge.

Can I finance a stairlift in Frankfort?

Yes. Financing starts at $79/month on approved credit, with terms from 24 to 84 months. Most Frankfort homeowners qualify for the lower end of that range. We process the application during the in-home measure — about 10 minutes.

How much does a curved stairlift cost for a Center Township bungalow?

Curved rails for narrow 1920s-40s Center Township bungalows typically run $9,500-$13,500. A classic 90-degree turn at the upper landing on a 30-inch-wide staircase lands around $10,800. The rail is custom-built in 3-4 weeks after measurement.

A word from Luis

Frankfort, Indiana has a distinctive stair-install profile. The Center Township bungalows from the 1920s-40s have narrow 28-30 inch staircases with steep risers — almost always curved or compact-straight rails. The post-war ranches out toward Prairie Creek and Brookside Estates have gentle straight flights that take a standard rail in three hours. And Downtown Frankfort near the courthouse has stately late-1800s homes with wide staircases but frequent turns.

Every install gets battery backup. Central Indiana tornado season runs April through early June and Duke Energy outages are common — the backup gives 8-10 trips with no grid power. Winter freeze-thaw also matters for any outdoor install; I always spec IP55 weatherproofing.

One note: if anyone tells you the Aged & Disabled Waiver is still available in Indiana, they're out of date. It was replaced by PathWays for Aging in July 2024. I know the paperwork — call me direct.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Frankfort families don't need to drive to Lafayette or Lebanon for a stairlift quote. We measure across Brookside Estates, Meadowbrook, Happy Hollow, downtown, and the Center Township core the same week you call, and most straight-rail installs are done in a single afternoon.

Indiana PathWays for Aging (which replaced the Aged & Disabled Waiver in July 2024) can cover home modifications for eligible Clinton County seniors. Veterans qualify for the HISA grant ($6,800 service-connected) through the Lafayette VA Clinic at 940 Park East Boulevard, Lafayette, IN 47905. Call Luis directly for a same-week measure.
