Stairlift Service Across Boone County

Boone County, IN

Whitestown has been Indiana's fastest-growing town for over a decade, and most of its housing stock dates from 2000 onward. Walker Farms (Beazer Homes, first sales 2003) has wide two-story layouts where landings at the stair midpoint often call for a curved rail. Anson — developed 2009–2018 by Arbor, Pulte, and others — mixes two-story homes and ranch plans; curved installs are common where stairs turn 90° at a half-wall. Jackson Run (Ryan Homes) is mostly single-level ranch — straight rail, 3 hours. Clark Meadows at Anson (Pulte) and Harvest Park both trend two-story with carpeted treads. Bridle Oaks (Arbor Homes) has homes from the mid-2010s with standard-width staircases.

Straight

Straight Rail on Original Hardwood in The Heritage

The Heritage, IN Installed March 2026

The McAllisters' home in The Heritage backs up to Whitestown's historic Main Street. Their staircase has original oak treads from the 1920s — dark, well-worn, narrower than modern code. A cream straight-rail lift now runs the full flight, bolted directly into the hardwood. Seat parks at the bottom landing by the front entry. Mrs. McAllister, recovering from knee surgery, uses it three times a day.

Curved

Curved Rail at Upper Landing in Anson

Anson, IN Installed April 2026

The Chens' two-story in Anson has a staircase that rises 8 steps to a half-wall landing, then turns 90° left for 6 more steps to the upper floor. A brown upholstered seat sits parked at the top, beside a chandelier in the open foyer. The curved rail was laser-measured on site and bent at the factory to match the exact turn radius. The Chens' elderly mother had stopped using the upstairs entirely before the install.

Compact Straight Install in Jackson Run Ranch

Jackson Run, IN Installed February 2026

The Kowalskis' Jackson Run ranch has stone-look tile treads and a compact staircase tucked beside the living room. A brown straight-rail seat parks at the bottom near a wooden sideboard. The rail runs flush against the wall-side treads — the 3-hour install kept the hallway clear. Mr. Kowalski uses it after a stroke affected his balance on stairs.

Outdoor Porch Lift in Walker Farms

Walker Farms, IN Installed October 2025

The Hendersons' Walker Farms home has a front porch entry with rough stone paving — five steps up from the driveway. A cream outdoor stairlift now runs the full rise, weather-sealed with marine-grade aluminum and stainless hardware. IP55-rated against Indiana rain, snow, and freeze-thaw. Mrs. Henderson, 78, uses it year-round to get to her car without help from her son. Installed October 2025, still zero service calls.

Carpeted Staircase in Harvest Park Two-Story

Harvest Park, IN Installed January 2026

The Patels' Harvest Park home has a carpeted staircase — beige pile that matches the brown seat upholstery almost exactly. The straight rail runs up 13 treads to a tiled upper landing. Installed through the carpet without cutting or replacement. The seat folds up at the top, leaving the hallway open for the family's three kids. Mr. Patel's father, who lives with them, makes the trip upstairs every night now.

Platform Lift

Indoor Wheelchair Platform in Clark Meadows

Clark Meadows, IN Installed May 2026

The Simmons family needed a wheelchair solution, not a seat — Mr. Simmons uses a power chair full-time after a spinal injury. An inclined platform lift now runs the staircase inside their Clark Meadows two-story. Flat black deck, yellow safety edges, white handrail. The platform folds up when not in use. Rated to 600 pounds, it handles the power chair plus Mr. Simmons without strain. Indoor install, 14-foot rail, battery-backed motor.

Common Questions

Everything Whitestown Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Whitestown?

Straight-rail installs start at $2,800. Curved rails — needed when your Whitestown staircase has a landing or turn, which is common in two-story Anson and Walker Farms homes — start at $9,000. Outdoor lifts for porch or basement access start at $4,000. Heavy-duty models rated to 600 lb start at $5,050. All prices include the rail, seat, installation, and a 5-year warranty with lifetime rail coverage. We quote same-day at the measurement appointment — no surprises.

Are there financing options for a stairlift in Whitestown?

Yes — financing starts at $79/month. We also help Whitestown homeowners apply for the VA HISA grant (up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans, $2,000 for non-service-connected with a 50%+ disability rating) and Indiana PathWays for Aging, which covers home modifications for Hoosiers 60 and older on Medicaid. USDA Section 504 grants of up to $10,000 may also be available for rural-eligible Boone County homeowners 62 and older.

Why do curved stairlifts cost more than straight ones in Whitestown?

A curved rail is custom-fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. In Whitestown homes — especially two-story builds in Anson, Bridle Oaks, and Walker Farms — stairs often turn 90° at a landing. We bring a laser measurement rig on site, capture every angle, and the rail is bent at the factory to match. There's no off-the-shelf curved rail. The measurement takes about an hour, and fabrication runs 2–3 weeks. What you're paying for is the custom rail and the precision fit.

Does insurance cover stairlift costs in Whitestown?

Medicare generally does not cover stairlifts. Medicaid can — through Indiana PathWays for Aging, which covers home modifications for Hoosiers 60 and older who qualify. The VA HISA grant is a separate funding path: up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans, tax-free and never repaid. Some long-term-care insurance policies also include durable medical equipment coverage. We check every funding route at your assessment.

A word from Luis

Most Whitestown homes I install in were built after 2000 — wide staircases, clean framing. Makes the job quick. But I still see older places near Main Street with tight turns and original oak treads from the 1880s. Doesn't matter to me — I measure on site, the rail gets bent to the exact turn, and the whole thing bolts to the treads. No wall damage, no rewiring. Three hours for a straight rail, half a day for a curved.

The Anson and Walker Farms subdivisions are my regular territory now. Lots of two-story homes with a landing halfway up — that's a curved-rail job every time. Over in Jackson Run, those ranch layouts are straight-shot installs, fastest kind. I've put lifts into houses across every Whitestown subdivision at this point, from The Heritage to Clark Meadows to Bridle Oaks.

One thing people here don't always know: Indiana PathWays for Aging covers home modifications for Hoosiers 60 and over on Medicaid. And the HISA grant through the VA — that's up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans — covers a stairlift outright. The Boone County Veteran Service Officer in Lebanon can help start the paperwork.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Whitestown keeps growing — new subdivisions, young families, and older relatives moving in with them. That mix is exactly why we do so many stairlift installs here. A ranch home in Jackson Run gets a straight lift in a morning. A two-story in Anson gets a custom curved rail measured by laser and installed same-week. Same crew, same warranty, same phone number.

If you're in Whitestown or anywhere in Boone County — Zionsville, Lebanon, Thorntown — give Luis a call. He'll measure your stairs, quote the same day, and have the lift in before the week is out. The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center on West 10th Street in Indianapolis processes HISA grant approvals for veterans in this area, and we walk you through every form.
