Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across York County

York County, SC

From the front-porch colonials of Baxter Village — where the master-planned layout puts every bedroom on the second floor and nearly every staircase has a landing turn — to the golf-course homes of Regent Park with open two-story foyers, our crew knows every staircase geometry in York County. We've worked the steep narrow stairs of older Fort Mill Historic District bungalows, the split-levels in Knightsbridge off Gold Hill Road, the ranches in Massey with basement access, and the new construction in Brayden and Springfield. We also cover Tega Cay, Rock Hill, Indian Land, Lake Wylie, and the south-Charlotte Ballantyne corridor at the same York County rate.

Downtown Fort Mill bungalow — straight rail on original heart-pine treads

Downtown Fort Mill, SC Installed March 2026

A 1925 craftsman bungalow near downtown Fort Mill with an original heart-pine staircase, carved newel post, and dark hardwood treads. We bolted the straight rail into the pine treads only — never touched a spindle. The beige-upholstered seat sits unfolded at the bottom of the run, ready for her morning ride upstairs. Baxter Village colonial — curved rail around the upper landing turn

Baxter Village, SC Installed February 2026

A 2005 Baxter Village colonial with a two-story foyer staircase that bends 90 degrees at the upper landing around a half-wall balustrade — an upscale interior the family wanted preserved. We laser-scanned the full run, fabricated a single curved rail that follows the turn exactly, and parked the brown-upholstered seat at the top landing so Mrs. Hartley's mother steps off directly onto the upper hallway floor.

Massey ranch — straight rail in a compact stairwell beside the sideboard

Massey, SC Installed January 2026

A 2015 Massey ranch with a compact interior staircase next to a wooden sideboard in the entryway. Stone-style tile treads, warm traditional feel. Sra. García needed every inch of clear width preserved. We fitted the straight rail tight to the wall side, and the brown-upholstered seat folds flat against the rail when not in use so the narrow hallway stays passable.

Fort Mill Historic District, SC Installed December 2025

Mr. Mitchell is a 78-year-old Vietnam veteran who qualified for a $6,800 HISA grant through the Rock Hill VA Clinic. Raised front porch in the Fort Mill Historic District — rough stone paving, seven exterior steps. We anchored the outdoor rail into the stone treads with freeze-thaw rated wedge bolts, sealed the motor housing against Piedmont ice storms, and mounted the cream weather-resistant seat with a rain cover.

A 2018 Brayden two-story with a 13-step carpeted staircase leading up from the tiled entry floor. The brown-upholstered seat blends with the beige carpet tones on the treads. Mrs. Patterson had knee replacement at Piedmont Medical Center and needed the lift operational before discharge.

Regent Park — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a three-generation household

Regent Park, SC Installed October 2025

A Regent Park two-story off Steele Meadow Road where Sr. Rivera is a full-time wheelchair user — a seated stairlift was never an option. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip deck, bright yellow high-visibility safety edges around the perimeter, and a white handrail along the interior stairway. Common Questions

Everything Fort Mill Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Fort Mill right now?

Straight rails in standard Fort Mill homes — the colonials in Baxter Village, the ranches in Massey, the bungalows downtown — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for the two-story foyers in Regent Park or the split-level landings in Knightsbridge run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact stair geometry. Outdoor weather-sealed models for brick Piedmont porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Fort Mill than across the line in Charlotte?

Equipment prices are identical — the state line doesn't change hardware cost. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: compensating rail mounts for older downtown bungalow treads that have settled, and the Piedmont freeze-thaw cycle outdoor seals we include as baseline on every exterior install in York County. Every line item is disclosed upfront.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every York County assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has walked dozens of Fort Mill and Rock Hill families through the paperwork in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Any hidden fees for HOA approvals in Baxter Village or Regent Park?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. South Carolina follows the federal Fair Housing Act reasonable-accommodation standard, so Baxter Village, Regent Park, Knightsbridge, and every other York County HOA must approve accessibility equipment for disabled residents. We provide the documentation packet for architectural review at no charge.

A word from Luis

Most Fort Mill families call me after the first winter their parent couldn't make it up to the master bedroom — a carpeted second-floor staircase in a Baxter Village colonial, a half-landing turn in a Regent Park two-story, or a front porch in Massey with seven brick steps that got slick in a February ice storm. Fort Mill's housing stock is almost entirely built after 1990: two-story planned-community colonials in Baxter Village and Brayden, split-levels in Knightsbridge off Gold Hill Road, ranches in Massey backing up toward the Catawba River corridor, and the pre-1940 craftsman bungalows in the Fort Mill Historic District.

My job is simple: measure every staircase once, give you a written price honored for 30 days, and install the same week if the rail is straight. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.

— Luis Ramírez, Fort Mill
