The curved, open-foyer staircases you see a lot of in Eagle Harbor and Pace Island cost more because the rail has to be custom-measured and bent to that exact stairway. Fleming Island runs premium on home values compared to a lot of Clay County, but a big house with one straight flight of stairs is still cheaper to fit than a smaller house with a tight curved staircase. Length of the rail and how many turns it has to make are what move the price, not the size of the lot or the house around it.
Indoor versus outdoor use, straight versus curved rail, weight capacity, and battery backup versus standard power are the usual variables. If you're near the water on Doctors Lake or the St. Johns and want an outdoor unit for porch or dock steps, that's a different build than an indoor lift and it'll show up in the quote.
A straight staircase, which describes most of the newer construction in the master-planned communities out here, is usually a same-day job.
