Stairlift Service Across El Paso County

El Paso County, TX

From Sunset Heights — the 1890s Victorian district on the bluff above downtown, where steep interior staircases and historic-district protections define every install — to the 1920s Mediterranean homes of Kern Place near UTEP, our team has mapped every staircase type in El Paso County. We know which Northeast subdivisions near Fort Bliss require HOA submissions under Texas Property Code Chapter 202, which Eastside tract homes have the standard 14-tread run we install in three hours, and which Rim Road hillside properties need UV-sealed outdoor hardware rated for the most extreme sun in Texas. We also cover Canutillo, Westway, San Elizario, and Anthony — same tech, same day, same language.

Straight

Sunset Heights Victorian — straight rail on original dark oak treads

Sunset Heights, TX Installed March 2026

A 1905 Victorian on the bluff above downtown El Paso with original dark oak open-tread stairs leading from the ground-floor parlor to the bedrooms. Sra. Herrera’s mother, 86, had been living entirely on the ground floor since a fall eight months ago. We measured the straight run from the bottom landing, pre-drilled every bolt hole to protect the century-old hardwood, and bolted the rail flush against the right-side wall. The warm-toned seat sits folded at the bottom of the stairs when not in use. The entire consultation and walkthrough happened in Spanish because that was the only language the family was comfortable making decisions in. Abuela rides up to bed every night and the grandchildren still use the left side of the staircase without interference.

Curved

Northeast El Paso two-story — curved rail with 90° turn at upper landing

Northeast El Paso, TX Installed February 2026

A 2008 two-story in a Northeast El Paso subdivision three miles from Fort Bliss, with a full-flight staircase that turns 90 degrees at the upper landing before opening onto the hallway. Mr. Jackson, retired Army and 100% service-connected, had been sleeping on the living room couch for four months after a stroke because the turn at the top made the stairs unsafe without assistance. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that carries him from the bottom tread through the bend and parks the swivel-exit seat at the upper hallway floor. The framed family photos on the stairway wall stayed untouched. The HISA grant through the Piedras Street VA office covered the entire cost. He sleeps in his own bed again.

1928 Kern Place Mediterranean — slim-profile rail on tiled entry treads

Kern Place, TX Installed January 2026

A 1928 Mediterranean in Kern Place with a compact interior staircase, decorative stone tile treads, wrought-iron railings, and a wooden console table at the bottom of the stairs that Sra. Guerrero refused to move. We specified the slim-profile rail in a warm bronze finish to complement the wrought iron, mounted it on the wall side in the tight space between the console and the bottom step, and added the folding footrest so the chair parks completely out of the sightline from the front door. The cozy cottage feel of the entry hall — potted plants, tile, warm wood furniture — stayed intact. Sra. Guerrero, 79, still hosts her comadres for coffee in that entry every Saturday.

Sunset Heights raised porch — desert-rated outdoor lift over stone paving

Sunset Heights, TX Installed December 2025

A Sunset Heights Victorian with a raised front porch and eight exterior stairs over rough natural stone paving that Mr. Morales, 83, could no longer manage safely. The porch faces west — directly into the El Paso afternoon sun — so we installed the full desert package: a cream weather-resistant seat with UV-stabilized upholstery rated to 2,000+ hours of direct exposure, masonry anchors into the stone-paved entry, and a sealed motor housing against dust storms. The covered porch provides shade at the top landing where the seat parks. The Historic District review approved the outdoor install in 11 days. Mr. Morales sits on his own porch again every evening watching the sunset over the Franklins.

Lower Valley ranch — straight rail over carpeted stairs

Lower Valley, TX Installed November 2025

A two-story Lower Valley ranch that has been in the Salazar family for three generations, with wall-to-wall carpet over the stair treads and a tiled landing at the bottom. Sr. Salazar had not been upstairs to his bedroom in seven months. The brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet tones almost exactly — the family noticed before we did. We bolted the straight rail through the carpet pad into the subfloor using extended lag bolts, tested every safety sensor at the landing, and walked the entire family through the call-send controls in Spanish. The carpet stays undamaged, the rail is rock-solid, and Sr. Salazar went upstairs to his bedroom that same evening. His daughter called us the next day to say gracias.

Platform Lift

Rim Road home — indoor wheelchair platform lift for full-time wheelchair user

Rim Road, TX Installed October 2025

A Rim Road hillside home where Mr. Fischer, a retired Fort Bliss colonel, uses a powered wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury sustained in service. The indoor stairway between the garage-level entry and the main living floor made it impossible for him to reach his own kitchen without being transferred out of the chair. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip platform surface, high-visibility yellow safety edges around the perimeter, white handrails, and automatic gate locks at both levels. The orange-toned stairway walls and the window on the landing stayed untouched. Mr. Fischer rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and arrives at the main floor in 14 seconds without ever leaving his wheelchair. The VA HISA grant covered the full cost.

Common Questions

Everything El Paso Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in El Paso right now?

Straight rails in standard El Paso two-story homes run $2,700 to $5,400 installed. Curved rails — common in Sunset Heights Victorians, Kern Place Mediterranean entries, and Upper Valley custom homes — run $8,800 to $14,500 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Desert-rated outdoor models for hillside entries on Rim Road, raised porches in Sunset Heights, and exterior stairs throughout the Lower Valley run $4,000 to $7,500. Every written quote is honored for 30 days and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are El Paso prices different from Dallas or Houston?

Equipment pricing is the same across Texas — we don’t adjust quotes based on your ZIP code. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: Sunset Heights historic district review, hillside anchoring on Rim Road properties, and Northeast El Paso HOA architectural committee submissions. Every line item is on the written quote. No surprises. El presupuesto es el presupuesto.

Is every consultation available in Spanish?

Yes — and in El Paso, Spanish is our default, not an accommodation. Luis conducts the majority of El Paso assessments in Spanish because that is what the majority of El Paso homeowners prefer. Every printed quote, consent form, operating manual, and follow-up call is available in Spanish. Zero surcharge. This is an 82% Hispanic city and we built our El Paso operation around that reality from day one.

Are there hidden fees for Northeast El Paso HOA homes?

Our quote already includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. Texas Property Code Chapter 202 requires HOAs to approve reasonable accessibility modifications, and we have submission packets on file for the major Northeast El Paso and Far East subdivisions. What can occasionally add a small cost is when an architectural review committee requires its own engineer’s letter — if that happens, we tell you before we start, not after.

A word from Luis

La mayoría de las familias en El Paso me llaman después de que algo ya pasó — a fall on the steep treads of a Sunset Heights Victorian, a grandfather who hasn’t been upstairs in his Kern Place Mediterranean since the knee surgery, a daughter calling from San Antonio worried about her parents alone in a Lower Valley ranch.

My promise is simple: I’ll be at your door inside 24 hours, I’ll measure once, and the written quote is good for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. Todo en español si lo prefiere — aquí es lo normal.
