Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Bristol County

Bristol County, MA

We install across both ZIP codes in town. In North Easton (02356), the granite-foundation Victorians around the H.H. Richardson Historic District and Main Street have narrow treads and tight 90° turns — almost always a curved-rail job. South Easton (02375) runs toward post-1960 colonials and raised ranches on Depot Street and Foundry Street; straight 14-foot rails fit most. Eastondale near the Stoughton line has 1950s Capes with steep 7.5-inch risers. Furnace Village has compact mill-era cottages where stone treads need a tread-fixed mount. Five Corners and Easton Center mix older farmhouses with newer infill — we assess each by housing age and turn geometry before quoting.

Common Questions

Everything Easton Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a stairlift cost in Easton, MA?

A straight stairlift on a standard 14-foot run in a South Easton colonial starts at $2,800 installed. Curved rails for the tighter turns in North Easton’s Victorians start at $9,000 because each rail is custom-manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor units (common on older homes with bulkheads) start at $4,000. We quote from a free in-home measurement — no phone estimates.

Are there extra charges for Easton homes with narrow treads or tight turns?

The quote covers the rail, seat, motor, battery backup, installation labor, and a 5-year warranty. Narrow treads under 32 inches (common in North Easton’s 1880s housing) don’t add cost — we use a tread-fixed mount either way. The only upcharges are if you want a premium seat, a longer rail than measured, or an outdoor weather cover.

Do I need permits to install a stairlift in Easton, MA?

No. Stairlifts are classified as non-structural accessibility equipment in Massachusetts — no building permit required in Easton, no planning-board review. If you live in the H.H. Richardson Historic District in North Easton and have exterior wall-mounted equipment (very rare — most rails are tread-mounted), you’d want to check with the Easton Historical Commission, but interior rails never trigger that review.

Can I finance a stairlift in Easton?

Yes. Financing starts at $79/month with 0% APR promotional options for qualified buyers. We also accept the HISA grant ($6,800 for service-connected veterans through Brockton VA) and MassHealth Frail Elder Waiver funding, which can cover up to 100% of the cost for eligible residents.

A word from Luis

I’ve measured stairs in every corner of Easton — from the tight winder turns in the 1880s Ames Shovel Shop apartments in North Easton to the wide straight runs in the 1970s colonials off Bay Road in South Easton. The two halves of town need different rails. North Easton’s older stock (02356) is full of narrow 30-inch treads and 90-degree landings where a curved rail is the only honest answer. South Easton (02375) is mostly post-1960 raised ranches and garrison colonials where a straight 14-foot rail on hardwood or carpet does the job in three hours.

Winter here is real. We get nor’easters that stack two feet of wet snow on a porch and the freeze-thaw cycle chews up anything that isn’t sealed. For outdoor installs off bulkheads or back porches — common on the older homes near Borderland — I spec IP55-rated rails with stainless fasteners and charge the battery from an indoor outlet. You won’t find salt-air corrosion this far inland, but black ice on granite steps is why we recommend the weather cover.

— Luis Ramírez, Easton
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Easton’s housing stock breaks cleanly between pre-1920 North Easton and mid-century South Easton, and the right stairlift depends on which side of Route 138 you live on. We’ve installed in both — curved rails on Ames-era Victorians and straight rails on raised ranches — and the free in-home assessment is the only way to know which yours needs.

Call to schedule a measurement. We’ll send the quote the same day, coordinate with Brockton VA if you’re a service-connected veteran, and walk you through the MassHealth Frail Elder Waiver paperwork if that’s the funding path.
