Stairlift Service Across King County

King County, WA

We install across the whole East Highlands plateau — from Briarwood with its 1985-1995 cedar-shingle splits (long carpeted straight runs of 13-15 ft), through Maplewood Heights where the 1978-1988 ranches sit on sloped lots requiring garage-to-living-floor lifts, up to Lake Kathleen where gated acreage homes have custom curved rails with two turns. Top of East Highlands near 156th Ave SE has newer 1998-2008 builds with standard geometry. In Coalfield off Petrovitsky Road, the older 1970s homes have steeper stringer angles that need a slightly longer rail to maintain a safe landing overhang. Honey Creek properties tend toward two-story Craftsman revivals with narrow 32-inch staircases that still fit a straight rail cleanly.

Common Questions

Everything East Renton Highlands Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a straight stairlift cost in East Renton Highlands?

Straight rails start at $2,800 installed. A 14-foot carpeted run in a Briarwood split-entry typically lands between $3,200 and $3,900, including a 5-year parts warranty and lifetime rail warranty.

Why does a curved rail cost so much more than a straight?

Every curved rail is laser-measured on-site and custom-fabricated in 4-6 weeks to match your exact stair geometry. Lake Kathleen homes with two 90° turns run $11,500-$14,500. There's no off-the-shelf curved rail — each one is unique.

Do you install two lifts in a split-entry home?

Yes, and it's common in Maplewood Heights. Garage-to-living-floor lift on the half-flight, then main-floor-to-upstairs lift on the full run. Two straight lifts together typically run $5,400-$6,800 because we can install both on the same day and share travel/setup.

How does the $79/month financing work?

$79/month at 0% APR is our promotional rate on a straight unit with qualifying credit, 36 months on roughly $2,800. Curved and dual-lift projects adjust the monthly payment — we run your exact numbers at the home assessment.

A word from Luis

East Renton Highlands is a plateau — that matters for stairlifts. The 1985-1998 subdivisions up here were platted on sloped lots, which gave builders an excuse to put a half-flight of stairs between the garage and the main living floor, and another flight up to the bedrooms. I see two-lift installs here more than anywhere else in King County.

The Pacific Northwest humidity also matters. Interior units are fine, but any outdoor rail out here needs a silicone-sealed motor housing and stainless hardware — I won't install an aluminum-grade outdoor unit in Briarwood because it'll corrode inside three winters. We spec marine-grade stainless for every exterior job.

One last thing: because this is unincorporated King County, not the city of Renton, the permit rules are different. Interior stairlifts don't need a permit. Exterior installs sometimes trigger a setback check from DLS. I handle all of that before the crew shows up.

— Luis Ramírez, East Renton Highlands
