Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Essex County

Essex County, MA

From the clapboard colonials and gambrel-roofed Capes along Maple Street and Centre Street in Danversport, to the 1960s raised ranches and split-levels on Locust Street and Pine Street near Endicott Park, our crew has measured staircases across every part of Danvers. Homes in the Tapleyville neighborhood along Newbury Street tend toward compact two-story layouts with narrow stair halls that call for slim-profile rail placement. The Putnamville area near Hobart Street features postwar colonials with standard-width treads on carpeted stairs. Along Sylvan Street and Conant Street, mid-century Capes often have steep original stairways that require soft-start motor programming. Newer construction in the developments off Dayton Street and near Plains Park features open stairways with wider treads that simplify every install.

1940s Danversport colonial — straight rail on steep carpeted treads

Danversport, MA Installed March 2026

A two-story colonial on Maple Street with 13 steep carpeted treads and a 32-inch-wide stair hall. Mrs. Kowalski had been sleeping on the pullout in the den for three weeks after hip replacement surgery at Beverly Hospital because the stairs were off-limits. We laser-measured the run, confirmed the rail would leave 21 inches of clear passage, and installed the next day. The brown-upholstered seat folds flat against the wall at the bottom. Mrs. Kowalski slept in her own bedroom that night.

Centre Street Cape — curved rail through a 90° landing turn

Centre Street, MA Installed February 2026

A two-story Cape on Centre Street with seven steps from the front hall to a 90-degree landing, then six more steps to the upstairs bedrooms. The Donovans have owned this home since 1978. We digitally scanned the entire run on the first visit, fabricated a single curved rail that carries Mr. Donovan from the front hall to the upper hallway without stopping, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top so he steps onto hardwood instead of balancing on the top tread. His VA provider at the Gloucester clinic wrote the HISA prescription and the grant covered $6,800.

Putnamville colonial — straight rail on hardwood stairs, same-week install

Putnamville, MA Installed January 2026

A 1960s colonial on Hobart Street with hardwood stairs and a standard 36-inch-wide staircase. The beige-upholstered seat sits at the bottom next to the coat closet. The rail bolts directly into the hardwood treads — no damage to the finish under the mounting brackets. Folded, the seat and rail take up 11 inches, leaving 25 inches of clear passage. Luis walked the family through every control at the kitchen table and left a Spanish-language manual for Mr. Moretti's mother who visits from Lawrence.

Locust Street ranch — outdoor lift on concrete front porch steps

Locust Street, MA Installed December 2025

A raised ranch on Locust Street near Endicott Park with six poured-concrete front steps leading to the covered entry. Mr. Fitzpatrick hadn't used his own front door since September — his son had been driving him around to the garage entrance. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat sits at the bottom step, ready when he comes home from errands. Every component is freeze-thaw rated, sealed against North Shore salt air, and carries marine-grade corrosion protection for Essex County's coastal winters.

Tapleyville two-story — straight rail on narrow treads, slim-profile

Tapleyville, MA Installed November 2025

A compact two-story home on Newbury Street in the Tapleyville neighborhood with original narrow treads only 29 inches wide. Mr. Alvarez's daughter in Boston called on Monday, we measured Tuesday morning, and the install crew arrived Wednesday afternoon. The slim-profile rail takes up 11 inches when folded, leaving 18 inches of clear passage. The swivel seat at the top lets Mr. Alvarez step off onto the landing facing the upstairs hallway. Luis conducted the entire visit in Spanish. Mr. Alvarez was riding it by Wednesday evening.

Platform Lift

Dayton Street home — inclined wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Dayton Street, MA Installed October 2025

A two-story home near Dayton Street where Mr. Walsh uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury during his Marine Corps service. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his chair between floors. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway: a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges on all thresholds, white handrails, and a keyed lockout so visiting grandchildren cannot activate it unsupervised. The HISA grant covered $6,800 and MassHealth's waiver program covered the remaining balance. Mr. Walsh rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and rides the incline to the upper floor without leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Danvers Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Danvers, MA?

Straight rails in Danvers homes — the colonials along Maple Street, the Capes near Endicott Park, the split-levels in Putnamville — run $3,150 to $6,150 installed. Curved rails for two-story homes with landing turns or L-shaped staircases run $10,100 to $16,800 because the rail is manufactured to your staircase's exact geometry. Outdoor models for front-entry steps run $4,500 to $8,400. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are Danvers stairlift prices different from Salem or Beverly?

Equipment prices are identical across Massachusetts — we do not adjust based on city or neighborhood. What varies is install complexity: narrow stair halls in Danversport colonials, steep original treads in mid-century Capes on Sylvan Street, and carpeted versus hardwood surfaces. Those differences affect labor time, not the equipment cost. We list every line item on the written quote so you see exactly what you're paying for.

Is a stairlift cheaper than moving to a single-story home?

Relocation costs on the North Shore — real estate commission, closing costs, moving crew, new deposits — easily exceed $40,000 given Essex County median home prices. A straight stairlift installs in under four hours for $3,150 to $6,150 and lets you stay in the home you've lived in for decades, near your doctors at Beverly Hospital, your pharmacy on Endicott Street, and the neighbors who check in. For most Danvers families, the stairlift costs less than the real estate commission alone.

Do you offer financing for Danvers homeowners?

Yes. We offer 12-month interest-free financing and extended terms up to 60 months starting at $88 per month for a standard straight install. Approval takes minutes during the in-home visit. We also help you stack financing with VA HISA, MassHealth waivers, or the MA Home Modification Loan Program so you pay the lowest possible out-of-pocket.

A word from Luis

Danvers homeowners usually reach out after a close call on the stairs — a grandmother who lost her footing on the carpeted staircase in a Maple Street colonial, a father six weeks out of knee replacement surgery at Beverly Hospital who hasn't seen the upstairs bedrooms since the procedure, a daughter in Boston worried about her parents alone in a Centre Street Cape they've owned since the 1970s.

I drive out, measure the staircase, and hand you a written quote good for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. Se habla español.
