Straight Stairlift

Bestseller in Monta Vista two-stories

The standard for Cupertino’s Monta Vista two-stories, Seven Springs ranches, and Rancho Rinconada split-levels. More than 65% of the stairlifts we install in Cupertino are straight rails — from the oak-tread two-stories of Monta Vista to the carpeted staircases of Seven Springs and Garden Gate. The rail bolts to your stair treads and never touches your walls or banister. Every California install ships with a sealed IP54 motor housing. Most Cupertino installs wrap in under four hours.

Stairlift Service Across Santa Clara County

Santa Clara County, CA

From the 1970s two-stories of Monta Vista — where the staircase almost always runs 14–16 feet straight to the upper hallway — to the split-level ranches of Rancho Rinconada along Prospect Road and the townhomes of Inspiration Heights, our team has mapped every staircase configuration in Cupertino. We know which Seven Springs builder homes have the 90° landing turn requiring a curved rail, which Garden Gate raised entries take an outdoor straight rail in a single day, and which The Villages units along Stelling Road have the HOA process we’ve already completed for other residents.

We also cover Saratoga, Los Altos, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and Campbell without a separate trip fee.

Monta Vista two-story — straight rail on original oak treads

Monta Vista, CA Installed March 2026

A 1978 two-story in the Monta Vista neighborhood with original oak stair treads in excellent condition. Mrs. Huang’s daughter specifically requested that no finishing be touched. We bolted the slim straight rail into the dark hardwood treads using precision pilot holes, seated every bracket below the existing nosing line, and routed the charging cable inside the baseboard. The beige seat sits unfolded at the bottom of the open-tread staircase. Rail color was matched to the warm-toned oak grain. Mrs. Huang was riding independently before we packed the tools.

Seven Springs ranch — curved rail around a 90° mid-landing

Seven Springs, CA Installed February 2026

A 1985 Seven Springs ranch with a staircase that turns 90 degrees at a mid-level landing before rising to the bedroom hallway. Mr. Nakamura had been negotiating the turn on his hands and knees after a balance disorder diagnosis. We laser-scanned the full geometry, fabricated a single continuous curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper landing, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top so he steps directly onto the hallway floor. The brown-upholstered seat parks neatly at the upper landing beside the framed art on the wall.

Garden Gate cottage — straight rail on stone-tiled treads in a compact entry

Garden Gate, CA Installed January 2026

A compact 1970s Garden Gate home with stone-tiled stair treads and a cozy traditional entry — a wooden sideboard with a potted plant sits next to the bottom of the stairs. Mrs. Kim’s knees had turned the seven steps between the front door and the living area into a daily struggle. We bolted the straight rail into the stone treads using masonry anchors, mounted the brown-upholstered seat that tucks flat against the wall when not in use, and kept the compact footprint clear of the adjacent furniture. The original tile was never cut.

The Villages — outdoor porch lift on stone-paved entry steps

The Villages, CA Installed December 2025

A condominium unit in The Villages — Cupertino’s 55+ active adult community along Stelling Road — where Mr. Vasquez needed outdoor access after bariatric surgery. The raised front entry has stone-paved steps leading up to a covered porch. We anchored the outdoor rail directly into the natural stone paving, sealed every bracket with marine-grade hardware, and installed the cream-colored weather-resistant seat with UV coating for Silicon Valley sun. The Villages HOA required an insurance certificate and equipment spec sheet; we had approval before fabrication began. Mr. Vasquez uses the lift daily to reach his porch and front walkway independently.

Inspiration Heights townhome — slim-profile rail on carpeted stairs

Inspiration Heights, CA Installed November 2025

A townhome in Inspiration Heights where the carpeted staircase rises to a landing with wall-mounted light switches and a tiled floor at the bottom. Sra. Reyes’s daughter flew in from Chicago worried the 34-inch stairwell would not qualify. We bolted the rail through the carpet into the subfloor, and the brown-upholstered seat blends with the warm carpet tones. The folding footrest tucks completely clear when parked. Luis conducted the full walkthrough in Spanish at Sra. Reyes’s request. Her teenage grandchildren pass on the stairs comfortably.

Platform Lift

Rancho Rinconada split-level — indoor wheelchair platform lift between floors

Rancho Rinconada, CA Installed October 2025

A 1968 Rancho Rinconada split-level where Mr. Patel Sr. needed wheelchair access to both floors after a stroke. A seated stairlift was impractical because he cannot transfer from his wheelchair. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip platform, yellow high-visibility ADA-compliant safety edges, and a white handrail along the orange-toned stairway wall. The platform carries Mr. Patel and his wheelchair between the garage-entry level and the main living floor. A window beside the track lets natural light into the stairway.

Common Questions

Everything Cupertino Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Cupertino right now?

Straight rails in standard Cupertino homes — Monta Vista two-stories, Seven Springs ranches, Garden Gate single-family — run $3,200 to $5,800 installed. Curved rails for mid-landing turns and split-level staircases run $9,500 to $16,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor raised-entry models run $4,500 to $8,000. Heavy-duty models for bariatric or post-surgical needs come in at $4,200 to $7,000. Every written quote is honored for 30 days and includes installation, seat, battery backup, and first service visit.

Why are Cupertino prices different from what I see advertised nationally?

The equipment itself is the same price nationwide. What varies in California is the cost of legal compliance: CSLB licensure (C-61/D-34 or B classification), a $25,000 surety bond, workers’ compensation, and liability insurance. These are not optional — Business and Professions Code 7028 makes unlicensed contracting a criminal offense, and an unlicensed install voids your equipment warranty. Ask for the CSLB number on every quote and verify it free at cslb.ca.gov before signing anything.

Does The Villages HOA or any Cupertino condo association add fees to the install cost?

No HOA surcharge from us. We handle the paperwork for The Villages and other Cupertino community associations at no charge — insurance certificate, equipment specification sheet, installation drawing. Most Cupertino HOA approvals come back within 5–10 business days. In rare cases where a building requires its own engineer’s letter, we tell you before starting, not after. The stairlift is also protected under California’s FEHA reasonable accommodation law, which requires HOAs to approve accessibility equipment for residents with documented disabilities.

Is financing available, and does the monthly payment change based on the install type?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and fixed-rate plans from $79/month. Straight-rail installs often qualify for the lowest tier. Curved rails are financed over longer terms to keep monthly payments comparable. Application is a soft credit pull (no score impact), takes about four minutes, and approval is usually same-day. We walk you through the complete math during the free in-home assessment — including how the IRS medical expense deduction may reduce the effective cost if your physician documents the necessity.

A word from Luis

Most of my Cupertino calls come from adult children — engineers at Apple Park or working remotely from the Valley — whose parents have lived in the same Monta Vista or Rancho Rinconada home since the 1970s. The conversation usually starts the same way: ‘Dad hasn’t been upstairs in two months’ or ‘Mom slept on the couch after her hip replacement.’

I drive out within 24 hours, measure once with a laser, and hand you a written quote before I leave. If the home is a two-story in Seven Springs or a raised-entry ranch in Garden Gate, I’ve measured that staircase layout dozens of times. The price holds for 30 days. No pressure. En español si lo prefiere.
