Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Sacramento County

Sacramento County, CA

From the 1950s ranch tracts of Lincoln Oaks — where mature pines tower over single-story homes on half-acre lots and the original owners’ children are now calling about stairlifts — to the Carmichael Colony area along the American River where larger custom homes sit on wooded parcels near Ancil Hoffman Park, our team knows which block needs what. We’ve installed in Oakvale ranch homes where the 1960s carpet on split-level stairs hadn’t been touched in 40 years, in Del Paso Manor homes with raised foundations and steep garage-entry steps, and along the Manzanita Avenue corridor where 1970s two-story colonials have the standard straight-run staircase that installs in three hours flat. We also cover Fair Oaks, Arden-Arcade, Citrus Heights, North Highlands, Foothill Farms, Gold River, and Orangevale.

Straight

Lincoln Oaks ranch — straight rail on original oak treads under mature pines

Lincoln Oaks, CA Installed March 2026

A 1958 ranch in Lincoln Oaks with original red oak treads on the split-level stairs between the sunken living room and the three bedrooms. Mrs. Thornton is 81 and has lived in this house since 1973. Her daughter drove in from Folsom after her mother mentioned she’d been sleeping in the den for a week rather than climb the seven steps. The staircase is a clean straight run with no landing. We bolted the rail into the treads only, color-matched the finish to the existing oak, and folded the seat flush against the wall at the bottom so the hallway stays fully passable.

1964 Oakvale split-level — curved rail through the 90-degree upper landing

Oakvale, CA Installed February 2026

A 1964 split-level in the Oakvale neighborhood — the floor plan that defined Carmichael’s mid-century building boom. Four steps from the entry to the living level, a 90-degree landing, then six more steps to the bedrooms. We laser-scanned the full staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that carries Mrs. Yamamoto from the front entry to the upstairs hallway in one continuous ride, and added a swivel-exit seat at the top so she steps off onto level floor instead of the top tread. The original 1964 subfloor had settled slightly at the landing — we shimmed the brackets so the ride stays perfectly level.

Del Paso Manor ranch — straight rail on raised-foundation garage entry stairs

Del Paso Manor, CA Installed January 2026

A Del Paso Manor ranch with a raised foundation and a five-step concrete staircase from the attached garage up to the kitchen level. Mr. Kessler is 79 and carries groceries in from the garage four times a week — those five steps with two bags of Raley’s groceries had become the most dangerous part of his day. We bolted a straight rail into the concrete treads with masonry anchors, added a folding seat that parks flush at the top, and tested it under load with Mr. Kessler and a full grocery haul.

Manzanita Avenue corridor — weather-sealed outdoor rail on stone-paved front entry

Manzanita Avenue corridor, CA Installed December 2025

A 1972 two-story along Manzanita Avenue with a raised stone-paved front entry — six steps from the walkway to the front door, fully exposed to Sacramento Valley sun from May through October. Mrs. Reyes’s mother moved in from the Philippines and the front steps were her single biggest obstacle. We installed a weather-sealed outdoor rail with stainless mounting hardware, an IP54 sealed motor housing rated for Central Valley heat, and a UV-resistant seat cover that protects against the 100-plus-degree summer days.

Fair Oaks Boulevard ranch — carpeted split-level stairs, same-week install

Near Fair Oaks Boulevard, CA Installed November 2025

A 1967 ranch off Fair Oaks Boulevard with deep-pile carpeted stairs on the split-level run between the den and the bedrooms. Mrs. Chen’s son called from San Jose on a Monday after his mother told him she’d been avoiding the upstairs for two weeks. We measured Monday afternoon and installed Wednesday morning. The rail bolts through the carpet into the wooden treads beneath — no carpet removal, no cutting, no damage to the pile. The seat folds flat against the wall so the stairwell stays passable.

Platform Lift

Carmichael Colony — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Carmichael Colony, CA Installed October 2025

A custom-built home in the Carmichael Colony area near Ancil Hoffman Park. Mr. Dalton is a retired Air Force master sergeant who spent 14 years at McClellan Air Force Base before it closed in 2001. He uses a power wheelchair full-time after a service-connected spinal injury. We installed an enclosed indoor wheelchair platform lift with bright yellow safety edges along the platform perimeter, automatic folding ramps at top and bottom, and a keyed lockout so visiting grandchildren cannot operate it unsupervised. His HISA grant through the Sacramento VA Medical Center at Mather covered the full cost.

Common Questions

Everything Carmichael Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Carmichael right now?

Straight rails in standard Carmichael homes — the 1960s ranches off Fair Oaks Boulevard, the split-levels in Oakvale and Lincoln Oaks, the raised-foundation homes in Del Paso Manor — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for split-level landings run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models rated for Central Valley heat run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Does the heat-rated motor housing cost extra in Sacramento County?

No. Every Carmichael install ships with IP54 sealed motor housings as baseline. Central Valley summers push past 105 degrees and standard lubricants thin at those temperatures — we stopped offering the non-sealed option statewide. The heat-rated housing and battery are in your quote at the same price as any other California market.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Carmichael assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has walked dozens of Sacramento County families through every line of the paperwork in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Do you charge travel fees to come to Carmichael?

No travel fees anywhere in Sacramento County. We cover Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, Arden-Arcade, North Highlands, Foothill Farms, Gold River, Orangevale, and every address in between at the same price. The quote you see is the quote you pay.

A word from Luis

Most Carmichael families call me after a specific event — a slip on the carpeted split-level stairs of a 1960s ranch off Fair Oaks Boulevard, a father who stopped going down to the garage workshop after back surgery at Mercy San Juan, a daughter in the Bay Area worried about her 83-year-old mother alone in a Lincoln Oaks house she’s owned since 1972.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
