Stairlift Service Across Hendricks County

Hendricks County, IN

From the established two-story colonials and Cape Cods in Northfield with their carpeted straight-run staircases, to the newer construction in Eagle Crossing and Green Street Village with open floor plans and wide oak treads, our crew has measured stairs throughout Brownsburg. The Woodfield and Turning Point subdivisions off North Green Street feature standard two-story homes with 14-step runs — our fastest installs. Older homes along East Main Street near the original town center have narrower staircases with steeper pitch that demand precise rail placement. The White Lick Creek corridor neighborhoods like Cardinal Estates and Wynne Farms mix ranch-with-basement layouts and split-levels where compact rails handle the half-flights. Out toward the eastern edge near Ronald Reagan Parkway, master-planned communities like Heartland Crossing have cathedral entries and longer straight runs common in late-1990s construction.

Straight

Eagle Crossing colonial — straight rail on 14 carpeted treads, same-week install

Eagle Crossing, IN Installed March 2026

A two-story colonial in Eagle Crossing off North Green Street with 14 carpeted treads and a standard 36-inch-wide staircase. Mr. Fischer had been sleeping in the downstairs recliner for five weeks after his second knee replacement at IU Health West because the stairs were off-limits. We laser-measured the run, bolted the rail through the carpet into the wooden treads beneath — no carpet removal, no damage to the pile — and mounted the brown-upholstered seat on the right side. Folded, the seat and rail take up 11 inches, leaving 25 inches of clear passage. Mr. Fischer slept in his own bed that night.

East Main Street two-story — curved rail through a 90° landing turn to upstairs bedrooms

East Main Street, IN Installed February 2026

An older two-story home on East Main Street near the original Brownsburg town center with seven steps from the front hall to a 90-degree landing, then eight more steps to the upstairs bedrooms. The Thompson family has owned this home since 1989. We digitally scanned the entire run on the first visit, fabricated a single curved rail that carries Mrs. Thompson from the front hall to the upper hallway without stopping, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top so she steps onto hardwood instead of balancing on the top tread. Her VA provider at the Roudebush Medical Center wrote the HISA prescription and the grant covered $6,800.

Northfield colonial — straight rail on wide oak treads with color-matched finish

Northfield, IN Installed January 2026

A two-story colonial in Northfield with wide oak treads and an open two-story foyer. The Garrett family wanted the rail to blend with the natural wood finish of their staircase. We color-matched the track to the existing red oak and tucked the charge station behind the newel post at the bottom. The cream-upholstered seat sits next to the family's hall table at the base of the stairs. Folded, the unit disappears against the wall. Luis walked Mr. Garrett through every control while Mrs. Garrett took notes at the kitchen counter.

Outdoor

Woodfield home — outdoor lift on concrete porch steps with cold-rated system

Woodfield, IN Installed November 2025

A two-story home in the Woodfield subdivision with four poured-concrete front steps leading to the covered porch. Mr. Davidson hadn't used his own front door since September — his son had been picking him up from the garage for every appointment. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat sits at the bottom step, ready when he comes home. Every component is rated for Indiana's freeze-thaw cycles: cold-rated lubricant to minus 20 degrees, corrosion protection against the road salt that Hendricks County crews spread through the winter, and UV-stabilized upholstery for summer heat.

Cardinal Estates split-level — compact straight rail on basement half-flight

Cardinal Estates, IN Installed October 2025

A split-level home in Cardinal Estates near White Lick Creek with a seven-step half-flight from the main level down to the basement family room and laundry. Mrs. Mitchell had been avoiding the basement for months, sending her daughter over twice a week to do laundry. We installed a compact straight rail on the half-flight — the shortest, least expensive install we do. The seat folds flat at the top landing, leaving the hallway fully open. Mrs. Mitchell rode it down to start a load of laundry before the crew left the driveway.

Platform Lift

Green Street Village — inclined wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Green Street Village, IN Installed September 2025

A two-story home in Green Street Village where Mr. Brooks uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury during his Army service. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his chair between floors. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway: a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges on all thresholds, white handrails, and a keyed lockout so visiting grandchildren cannot activate it unsupervised. The HISA grant covered $6,800 and the PathWays for Aging waiver covered the remaining balance through his care coordinator at CICOA. Mr. Brooks rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and rides the incline to the upper floor without leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Brownsburg Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Brownsburg, IN?

Straight rails in Brownsburg homes — the colonials in Eagle Crossing, the two-stories in Northfield, the newer builds in Green Street Village — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for the older homes on East Main Street or custom homes with landing turns run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your staircase's exact geometry. Outdoor models for front-entry steps run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are Brownsburg prices different from Avon or Plainfield?

Equipment prices are identical across Hendricks County — we do not adjust based on town size or distance from Indianapolis. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: steeper-than-standard treads in older East Main Street homes, narrow split-level half-flights near White Lick Creek, or a longer curved rail in a custom two-story. Those are actual labor differences, not upcharges. We list every line item on the written quote.

Is a stairlift cheaper than moving to a single-story ranch?

Relocation costs in Hendricks County — real estate commission, closing costs, moving crew, new deposits — run $18,000 to $35,000 minimum given the current housing market. A straight stairlift installs in under four hours for $2,800 to $5,500 and lets you stay in the home you've lived in for decades, in the neighborhood you know, close to your doctors and your Brownsburg community. For most families, the stairlift costs less than the real estate commission alone.

Do you offer financing for Brownsburg homeowners?

Yes. We offer 12-month interest-free financing and extended terms up to 60 months starting at $79 per month for a standard straight install. Approval takes minutes during the in-home visit. We also help you stack financing with VA HISA, PathWays for Aging, or the Hendricks County Senior Services program so you pay the lowest possible out-of-pocket.

A word from Luis

Brownsburg families call after a fall or a near-miss — a grandmother who slipped on the carpeted stairs in an Eagle Crossing colonial, a father recovering from knee surgery at IU Health West who hasn't climbed to the master bedroom in two months, a daughter in Chicago worried about her parents in the same two-story on Northfield Drive they've owned since the kids graduated from Brownsburg High.

I drive out, measure the staircase, and hand you a written quote good for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells.
