Stairlift Service Across Manatee County

Manatee County, FL

We know Bradenton’s neighborhoods from the inside out. Palma Sola and West Bradenton homes from the 1950s and 60s frequently have the tight newel-post turn that pushes a straight job into curved-rail territory — we laser-scan on the first visit so there are no surprises at quote time. Downtown Bradenton’s Victorian-era row houses along Manatee Avenue carry original hardwood banisters that families will not let anyone touch, and we’ve preserved every one. Wares Creek and Village of the Arts bungalows sit inside Bradenton’s historic core, where HOA and city review applies to any exterior rail work visible from the street — we handle that submission at no charge. In Braden River and Riverview Pointe, marine-grade hardware is non-negotiable. We also serve West Samoset, South Bradenton, Samoset, Palmetto, and surrounding Manatee County communities.

Straight

Palma Sola ranch — straight rail on original dark hardwood treads

Palma Sola, FL Installed March 2026

A 1962 ranch off 53rd Street in Palma Sola with original dark oak stair treads the Fontaines had refinished twice over the decades. The straight rail bolts directly into the hardwood treads on the right side of the staircase — self-supporting, never touching the wall or the original banister. We positioned the seat at the bottom landing so Mrs. Fontaine steps on from the foyer floor. The rail was finished in matte chestnut to complement the warm oak grain. She said she forgot it was there within the first week.

Downtown Bradenton Victorian — curved rail wrapping 90° at the upper landing

Downtown Bradenton, FL Installed February 2026

A pre-1920s Victorian row house on Manatee Avenue where the staircase curves 90 degrees at the upper landing before opening onto the second-floor hallway. Mrs. Whitmore’s only condition: the lift could not change what the staircase looked like from the foyer. We laser-scanned the full geometry, fabricated a single curved rail that follows the bend, and installed a swivel-exit seat so she steps off onto the hallway floor at the top. From the front entry, the rail reads as part of the house — not as medical equipment added later.

West Bradenton concrete-block ranch — masonry-anchored rail near the hallway sideboard

West Bradenton, FL Installed January 2026

A 1968 concrete-block ranch in West Bradenton with stone-tile stair treads and a compact stairwell next to the family’s wooden sideboard and a potted fern. The first company quoted wood-screw anchors that would have pulled out of the masonry within a year. We drilled into the stone treads with a rotary hammer and anchored with stainless sleeve anchors rated for shear. The seat sits at the bottom landing in the cozy traditional entry. Mr. Bergmann steps off onto the hallway floor at the top via the swivel-exit seat.

Riverview Pointe waterfront entry — weather-sealed outdoor seat on stone-paved porch steps

Riverview Pointe, FL Installed December 2025

The Calloway family’s waterfront two-story on the Manatee River had a raised front porch with seven exterior stone-paved steps fully exposed to salt air. We installed a cream-colored outdoor stairlift seat on a straight rail bolted through the rough stone paving into the concrete footer with stainless marine-grade fasteners. The weather-sealed motor housing and UV-stabilized seat material handle year-round Gulf Coast exposure. The Calloways’ covered porch entry keeps direct rain off the upper landing station, and the unit rode through the 2025 storm season without a service call.

Braden River two-story — straight rail on carpeted stairs, seat matching carpet tones

Braden River, FL Installed November 2025

A 2004 two-story in Braden River with wall-to-wall carpet on every tread and riser. Dr. Osei wanted the lift to blend in, not stand out. We specified brown upholstery that closely matches the carpet tone and mounted the rail through the carpet into the tread beneath using countersunk bolts. The seat parks at the landing between floors. From the great room overlooking the staircase, the brown seat and carpet read as a single surface. Mrs. Osei rides it to her second-floor studio every morning.

Platform Lift

Village of the Arts bungalow — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a Manatee County veteran

Village of the Arts, FL Installed October 2025

A call came in from the Bay Pines VA social worker: a retired Marine corporal in the Village of the Arts neighborhood with a service-connected injury requiring full-time wheelchair use. The 1930s bungalow’s warm terracotta-painted stairway connected the lower entry to the main living level. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip deck and bright yellow high-visibility safety edges on all sides. The platform rides along a white rail up the interior stairway, and Cpl. Darnell rolls on at the bottom and rolls off at the top without ever leaving his chair. The HISA grant covered the full installed cost.

Common Questions

Everything Bradenton Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Bradenton right now?

Straight rails in a standard Bradenton two-story or split-level home — Palma Sola, West Bradenton, Braden River tract colonials — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which are common in Downtown Bradenton Victorian row houses with landing turns and in 1960s Palma Sola split-levels, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact stair geometry. Outdoor weather-sealed rails for waterfront Riverview Pointe entries and raised Gulf-front porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the rail, seat, battery backup, installation labor, and the first service visit.

Is there a salt-air surcharge for waterfront or Gulf-adjacent homes?

No surcharge — it’s built into the spec for every install within a mile of the Gulf or the Manatee River. For those addresses, every job ships with stainless-steel rail fasteners, a sealed IP54 motor housing, and marine-grade powder coat on the rail. Carbon-steel hardware corrodes measurably within 18 months this close to the water. We found that out the hard way on early installs and we don’t cut that corner anymore. The quote you receive for a Riverview Pointe waterfront home already includes the right hardware.

Do you offer financing if I don’t qualify for a VA or Medicaid grant?

Yes. Three lending partners offer 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans starting at $79/month. Application is a soft credit pull with no impact to your score, takes about four minutes, and approval is typically instant. Many Bradenton families combine a financing plan with the IRS medical expense deduction or a partial HISA grant to bring the monthly cost down further. We walk you through the math during the free assessment.

Can I deduct a stairlift on my federal taxes?

If a licensed physician recommends the stairlift in writing — which we provide a template letter for — the IRS classifies it as a qualified medical expense under Schedule A. For Bradenton homeowners who itemize, the full installation cost reduces taxable income, typically worth $600 to $2,400 back depending on your bracket. You must itemize rather than take the standard deduction. Our office can help you assess whether itemizing makes sense for your 2026 return.

A word from Luis

Bradenton is one of the most senior-dense markets I work in — nearly 27% of the city is over 65, and a meaningful share of those residents are still in the same two-story concrete-block home they moved into thirty years ago. The staircase that felt effortless at 55 becomes the one obstacle between them and the rest of their house at 80. My job is to remove that obstacle without touching anything they built a life around.

My promise to Bradenton homeowners: on-site within 24 hours across Manatee County, a written quote honored for 30 days, and salt-air-rated hardware on every install west of U.S. 41. Veterans — the Manatee VA clinic refers families to us regularly — I pre-fill your HISA paperwork and walk it to the Bay Pines coordinator so you never have to make that call yourself. Bradenton’s veteran community is a big part of who I serve, and HISA is the first thing I check before we ever talk price.
