Bestseller

The workhorse of Bossier City's ranch homes — from Stockwell to East Bossier to the Barksdale vicinity. Over 70% of the stairlifts we install across the Shreveport-Bossier metro are this model. A single straight run, the rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the humidity-sealed battery backup keeps you moving through the next summer storm outage. Most Bossier Parish installs wrap in under four hours.

Stairlift Service Across Bossier County

Bossier County, LA

From the Stockwell Road neighborhoods — 1970s and 1980s ranch homes where military families bought their first house and the carpeted stairs to the second-floor bedrooms were fine at 30 and a daily negotiation at 70 — to the Barksdale vicinity with its French Revival officer housing and post-war duplexes, our team has worked across every part of the city. We know which East Bossier subdivisions have the split-level entries that require a curved rail and which have the straight 14-tread runs that install in three hours. We know the Airline Drive corridor ranch homes with sunken living rooms, and the Benton Road corridor two-stories with tile-on-slab stairs that need diamond-bit drilling. The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center is 15 minutes across the river — we coordinate HISA paperwork with their prosthetics department weekly.

1978 Stockwell ranch — straight rail on original dark oak treads

Stockwell, LA Installed March 2026

A 1978 ranch off Stockwell Road with original dark oak treads and a wooden banister the family has never replaced. Mrs. Thibodaux's daughter drove up from Baton Rouge for the assessment and her first question was about our LSLBC license. We showed it, brought finish samples, and bolted the beige straight rail into the treads without touching the banister or the oak risers. The humidity-sealed motor is standard on every Bossier Parish install. The rail parks flush against the wall at the bottom landing — her bridge group comes through the front hall twice a week and nobody has asked about it.

East Bossier split-level — curved rail through a 90° upper landing turn

East Bossier, LA Installed February 2026

A 1980s split-level in East Bossier with a 90° turn at the upper landing — a common layout in the Barksdale-era subdivisions built for young military families. A straight rail was impossible. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a curved rail that carries Mr. Hebert from the front entry to the upper bedrooms in one continuous ride, and installed a swivel-exit seat so he steps off onto the hallway floor instead of the top tread. The brown-upholstered seat parks neatly at the landing. The humidity-sealed motor and stainless fasteners are rated for Louisiana year-round conditions.

Benton Road cottage — compact rail beside the hallway china cabinet

Benton Road corridor, LA Installed January 2026

An older Benton Road home where the staircase opens into a narrow hallway next to a wooden china cabinet that has been at the foot of the stairs for as long as anyone in the family can remember. Moving it was not an option. We fitted the slimmest rail in our catalog with a folding footrest so the lift tucks flat when parked and clears the cabinet by three inches. The stone-tile treads took standard masonry anchors. Mrs. Arceneaux's church group came over the following Sunday and two of them called us before the week was out.

South Bossier raised porch — weather-sealed outdoor rail on stone-paved entry steps

South Bossier, LA Installed December 2025

A raised-porch home in South Bossier with five stone-paved entry steps from the driveway to the covered front porch. Mr. Fontenot is a retired Barksdale maintenance chief who qualified for a HISA grant through Overton Brooks VA — we prefilled VA Form 10-0103 and had the prescription back in four weeks. The cream weather-resistant seat is sealed against Louisiana humidity, UV-coated for the summer sun, and anchored into the existing stone paving. It has run through a full year of Northwest Louisiana weather — including a week of 100°F+ heat in August and a December ice storm — without a service call.

Airline Drive area — carpeted stairs with swivel-exit at the top landing

Airline Drive corridor, LA Installed November 2025

A two-story home near the Airline Drive corridor with 14 carpeted treads and a top landing where Mr. Prejean had tripped the previous spring. The brown-upholstered swivel-exit seat was the deciding factor — it rotates 90° at the upper landing so Mrs. Prejean stands on the hallway carpet instead of balancing on the top step. The carpeted treads simplified the bracket installation. The humidity-sealed battery has been running without interruption since the install. Their son at Barksdale checked in on FaceTime during the walkthrough.

Platform Lift

Indoor wheelchair platform for a Barksdale retiree's split-entry home

East Bossier, LA Installed October 2025

Mr. Nguyen is a retired Barksdale NCO who uses a power wheelchair after a service-connected injury. Their East Bossier home has a four-step rise from the garage level to the main living area — a common split-entry layout in the 1980s military-family subdivisions. We installed an inclined platform lift with yellow high-visibility safety edges along the indoor stairway, a fold-up deck when not in use, and a keyed call station at the lower landing. The HISA grant through Overton Brooks VA covered the full installation. The platform has been in daily use for seven months without a single service call.

Common Questions

Everything Bossier City Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Bossier City right now?

Straight rails in standard Bossier City homes — the Stockwell ranches, the East Bossier two-stories, the Benton Road corridor homes — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, needed for split-level entries and staircase landing turns, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries and side porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, humidity-sealed battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Bossier City than Shreveport?

Equipment prices are the same on both sides of the Red River — same rail, same motor, same humidity-sealed housing. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: drilling through the tile-on-slab stairs in the newer Benton Road builds, compensating for clay-settled treads in 1970s Stockwell ranches, and the LSLBC licensing paperwork that Louisiana requires and that unlicensed national chains skip at your risk. We tell you the line items upfront.

How do I know your installer is properly licensed in Louisiana?

Louisiana requires an LSLBC Residential Builders License for any construction work over $7,500 — and most stairlift installations exceed that threshold. Our license number appears on every written quote. You can verify it at lslbc.louisiana.gov/contractor-search/. Unlicensed contracting in Louisiana is a violation under La. R.S. 37:2150. Ask any company you talk to for their LSLBC number before you let them in the house. If they do not have one, show them the door.

Do you charge extra for Barksdale families or active-duty?

No. Every Bossier Parish assessment is the same price regardless of military status. Active-duty families, retirees, Guard/Reserve, and DoD civilians get the same written quote. What we do provide at no extra charge is HISA paperwork assistance — we prefill VA Form 10-0103, coordinate with Overton Brooks prosthetics, and walk Barksdale families through every funding option before a dollar changes hands. The military community built this city. We do not charge it a premium.

A word from Luis

Most Bossier City families call me after a close call — a slip on the carpeted stairs of a Stockwell ranch, a Barksdale retiree whose wife stopped going upstairs after a fall, or a daughter in Dallas worried about her father in a home on the East side that he has lived in since he got out of the service in 1988.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
