Stairlift Service Across Gregg County

Gregg County, TX

From the 1930s brick Tudors of Nugget Hill, where oil-boom-era formal staircases are steep, narrow, and floored in original tile, to the 1960s–1970s split-level ranches of Pine Tree where foyer steps are impossible for aging knees, our team has worked every part of Longview. We know which Eastman-area bungalows have attic conversion stairs that only fit our slim-profile track, which Spring Hill two-stories have wide modern treads that install in three hours, and which Alpine and Judson ranch homes have the basement half-flight that doubles as the most dangerous set of stairs in the house. Because Gregg County borders Harrison, Upshur, and Rusk counties, we also staff coverage for Marshall, Kilgore, Gladewater, and Gilmer — no one waits on a tech driving over from Tyler.

1935 Nugget Hill Tudor — straight rail on original dark oak treads

Nugget Hill, TX Installed March 2026

A 1935 Tudor Revival in the Nugget Hill Historic District — built during the East Texas oil boom with masonry walls and dark hardwood stair treads worn smooth by 90 years of use. Mrs. Stuckey’s late husband had bought the house in 1968 and she was not moving. The red-clay foundation had settled nearly half an inch, tilting three of the upper treads. We shimmed every bracket to ride level, bolted a straight rail directly into the oak treads, and parked the beige seat at the bottom landing so the formal entry hall stays uncluttered. The seat folds flush against the wall. Her granddaughter drove up from Tyler and said she hadn’t seen her grandmother on the second floor in over a year.

Pine Tree split-level — curved rail with 90° upper landing turn

Pine Tree, TX Installed February 2026

A 1971 split-level ranch in the Pine Tree area where Mr. Whitfield, a retired Longview firefighter, had been pulling himself up the stairs by the handrail every day since his second knee replacement. The staircase curved 90 degrees at the upper landing around a half-wall. We laser-scanned the run, fabricated a continuous curved rail that threads the turn, and installed a brown-upholstered swivel-exit seat that parks at the upper hallway. Mr. Whitfield steps off directly onto level floor instead of balancing on the top tread. The modern interior and chandelier light above make the install feel built-in, not bolted-on.

Spring Hill two-story — straight rail in a compact traditional stairway

Spring Hill, TX Installed January 2026

A 2004 two-story in a Spring Hill subdivision with a compact traditional staircase — stone-look tile treads, a wooden sideboard at the base with a potted plant, and a cozy cottage feel despite the newer construction. Mr. Graham had a hip replacement scheduled at Good Shepherd Medical Center and wanted the lift working before he came home. We mounted a straight rail on the tile treads, tucked the track past the sideboard without moving it, and parked the brown-upholstered seat at the bottom landing. Install was three hours. He rode it home from surgery nine days later without touching the stairs.

Eastman-area bungalow — outdoor porch lift on stone-paved entry

Eastman, TX Installed December 2025

A 1956 bungalow off Eastman Road where Sra. Delgado, 79, lives alone. The raised front porch had rough natural stone paving at the entry and six exterior steps with a carpeted outdoor tread at the bottom. Her son called from San Antonio and asked for a Spanish-speaking installer. Luis conducted the entire consultation in Spanish, measured the outdoor entry, and installed a cream-colored weather-resistant seat on a rail anchored through the stone paving into the concrete footer beneath. The UV-stable seat material handles direct East Texas sun, and the sealed motor housing is rated for the spring thunderstorms that roll through Gregg County. He left behind a Spanish-language operating manual and called back two days later — in Spanish.

Mobberly Avenue colonial — straight rail over carpeted landing stairs

Mobberly Avenue area, TX Installed November 2025

A 1958 colonial south of Mobberly Avenue on a pier-and-beam foundation. The main staircase had wall-to-wall carpet over the treads and a landing area with tiled floor at the base. Mr. Henderson, a Korean War veteran, had stopped using the second floor entirely. We bolted the straight rail brackets through the carpet and pad directly into the wooden stair stringers, leaving the carpet intact on both sides. The brown-upholstered seat blends with the carpet tones, and wall-mounted light switches stay accessible with the seat folded. His HISA grant through the VA Shreveport system covered the full install — we had approval in six weeks.

Platform Lift

Alpine ranch — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a Vietnam veteran

Alpine, TX Installed October 2025

A 1965 ranch in the Alpine area where Mr. Tatum, a Vietnam veteran, uses a power wheelchair and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift on the stairway between the main floor and the den. The flat black anti-slip platform has yellow high-visibility safety edges around the perimeter, a white handrail, and automatic interlocking gates at both landings. The lift operates on standard 120V household current. Mr. Tatum qualified for a VA HISA grant through the Longview VA Clinic at 1005 North Eastman Road, processed through the VA Shreveport health care system. He makes the trip eight to ten times a day and says it gave him back the whole house.

Common Questions

Everything Longview Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Longview right now?

Straight rails in standard Longview homes — a Pine Tree ranch, a Spring Hill two-story, an Eastman bungalow — run $2,600 to $5,200 installed. Curved rails, which we see in Nugget Hill Tudors with tight quarter-turns and in Pine Tree split-levels with mid-landings, run $8,500 to $14,500 because the rail is fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor lifts for raised porches and exterior entries run $3,800 to $7,200 with high-heat and humidity sealing as standard. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Longview than in Dallas or Houston?

Equipment prices are the same across Texas — we don’t mark up for Nugget Hill addresses or discount for south-side zip codes. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: shimming rail brackets on red-clay-settled treads in pre-1960 homes, pier-and-beam anchor hardware south of Mobberly Avenue, and curved-rail fabrication for Nugget Hill’s steep formal staircases. We list those line items upfront. No hidden charges.

Do you charge extra for homes outside Longview city limits?

No travel fees anywhere inside Gregg County — that includes White Oak, Gladewater, Kilgore, and the unincorporated areas around Lake Cherokee and Lake O’ the Pines. Harrison County (Marshall), Upshur County (Gilmer), and Rusk County (Henderson) are within our standard East Texas coverage. You’d only see a trip charge if we’re driving more than 60 miles from Longview, and we tell you on the phone before we book.

Are used or refurbished stairlifts available in Longview?

We carry certified refurbished straight-rail units starting around $1,900 installed — inspected, re-lubricated, fitted with a new heat-rated battery, and backed by a 2-year parts-and-labor warranty. Curved rails cannot be refurbished because every curved track is custom-fabricated for one specific staircase. If budget is the primary concern, a refurbished straight rail combined with a partial HISA grant or the IRS medical-expense deduction often brings out-of-pocket cost under $1,200. We bring both new and refurbished options to every free assessment.

A word from Luis

Most Longview families call me after a specific event — a parent who fell on the stairs of a Nugget Hill brick Tudor, a veteran’s wife who can’t manage the split-level entry in their Pine Tree ranch anymore, a grown daughter in Dallas worried about her father living alone in the same Eastman-area house he’s owned since the oil boom days. My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español también.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

The staircase that was invisible when you bought your Longview home at 35 becomes the biggest obstacle in the house at 75. Whether it’s a steep Tudor in Nugget Hill, a split-level in Pine Tree, or a bungalow off Eastman Road, the fix is the same — a rail bolted to the treads, a seat that folds flat, and a battery that runs through every East Texas thunderstorm outage.

A free home assessment takes 45 minutes, costs nothing, and ends with a written quote honored for 30 days. More than 600 Longview-area homeowners have said yes. Your first step is a two-screen form or a phone call — we dispatch the installer closest to your Gregg County address within 24 hours.
