Stairlift Service Across Sarpy County

Sarpy County, NE

From Olde Towne Bellevue — Nebraska's oldest settlement district, where pre-1900 cottages and 1920s bungalows sit on narrow lots between Mission Avenue and the bluffs — to the Capehart neighborhood, where 1950s military housing still holds hundreds of original tri-level homes from the Strategic Air Command era, our team has mapped every block. We know which Twin Ridge split-levels need curved rails for their mid-landing turns, which Bellevue Hills foundations have settled enough to require shimmed rail brackets, and which Fontenelle Hills HOA covenants require pre-approval before exterior modifications.

Olde Towne bungalow — straight rail on original oak treads

Olde Towne, NE Installed March 2026

A 1940s Olde Towne bungalow with 12 dark oak treads and an open-tread staircase leading to the upstairs bedroom. Mrs. Hagen had been sleeping on a sofa downstairs since a fall two weeks earlier. We measured on Thursday, confirmed the hardwood treads could accept mounting hardware without splitting, and installed Friday morning. The beige seat parks at the bottom of the stairs, folded flat against the wall. She slept in her own bedroom that Friday night.

Twin Ridge split-level — curved rail through the 90-degree landing

Twin Ridge, NE Installed February 2026

A 1972 Twin Ridge split-level with a 90-degree turn at the mid-landing that ruled out every straight-rail option. We laser-scanned the geometry on the first visit and fabricated a 21-foot curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper floor. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the top landing next to the balustrade, with framed art on the wall beside it. Mr. Kowalczyk rides from the entry to the upper hallway without transferring between lifts.

Capehart tri-level — compact straight rail in a narrow stairwell

Capehart, NE Installed January 2026

A 1958 Capehart tri-level with a 30-inch-wide stairwell and stone-tile treads — tighter than most modern homes. We specified the slim-profile rail and a brown-upholstered seat that tucks against the wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs. The compact layout leaves 19 inches of clear passage for other family members. A potted plant on the sideboard is the only thing that moved during the install.

Bellevue Hills raised porch — outdoor stairlift on stone entry steps

Bellevue Hills, NE Installed December 2025

Mr. Brandt's raised front porch has rough natural stone paving at the entry and five steps up to the covered porch — steps that became dangerous after his service-connected knee injury at Offutt. We mounted a cream-colored weather-resistant seat on an outdoor-rated rail with sealed motor housing, drainage channels for snowmelt, and cold-rated battery packs rated to -20°F. The stone paving required anchor bolts rated for natural stone. His VA HISA grant covered $6,800 of the installation cost.

Fontenelle Hills two-story — straight rail on carpeted stairs

Fontenelle Hills, NE Installed November 2025

A Fontenelle Hills two-story with 13 carpeted treads running from the tiled foyer to the upstairs landing. Mrs. Dietrich's daughter had been driving over every morning to help her mother down the stairs. The brown-upholstered seat blends with the warm carpet tones, and the folding footrest keeps the landing clear. Installed Wednesday, tested Thursday — the first weekend in months the daughter hadn't worried about her mother on the stairs.

Platform Lift

Blackhawk home — indoor wheelchair platform lift for retired airman

Blackhawk, NE Installed October 2025

Mr. Torres uses a wheelchair full-time after his service at Offutt and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway — a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges and a white handrail mounted to the wall. The platform folds flat when not in use. His VA HISA grant and Nebraska AD Waiver covered the full installation cost. The orange-painted walls of the stairway frame the lift cleanly.

Common Questions

Everything Bellevue Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Bellevue right now?

Straight rails in standard Bellevue homes — the Capehart tri-levels, Twin Ridge split-levels, and Fontenelle Hills two-stories — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for split-level landing turns run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor lifts for raised entries run $4,000 to $7,500. All quotes include installation, rail, seat, cold-rated battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different for military families or Offutt retirees?

Equipment pricing is uniform — we don't discount or inflate based on military status. What differs is funding: the VA HISA grant covers up to $6,800 for service-connected disabilities, and Nebraska's Aged and Disabled Waiver may cover home modifications for Medicaid-eligible homeowners. We help you apply for every program you qualify for so you pay the smallest out-of-pocket amount possible.

Does the Nebraska Aged and Disabled Waiver cover stairlifts?

The Nebraska AD Waiver covers home modifications classified as having direct medical or remedial benefit — ramps, grab bars, bathroom modifications, and similar accessibility adaptations. Stairlift coverage requires individual assessment by your service coordinator through DHHS to determine whether it qualifies for your specific situation. Contact the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging (ENOA) at 402-444-6536 to start the intake. We assist with the documentation and can serve as your named modification vendor.

Do you charge extra for Fontenelle Hills or newer subdivision HOA installs?

No. The quote includes HOA paperwork preparation. Nebraska Revised Statute Chapter 76 and the federal Fair Housing Act require HOAs to allow reasonable accommodations for disabled residents. We draft the accommodation request letter, include the physician documentation, and submit it to the HOA on your behalf.

A word from Luis

Most Bellevue families call me after a close call on winter stairs — a slip on the carpeted run of a 1960s Capehart tri-level, a retired colonel at Offutt whose wife hasn't gone upstairs since her hip replacement, a daughter stationed in Germany worried about her father in a Twin Ridge split-level he bought in 1978 and won't leave until the Air Force tells him to.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
