Stairlift Service Across Cook County

Cook County, IL

We install across all of Worth. Worth Woods, west of Harlem Avenue, is mostly brick ranches and split-levels built 1950–1977 — many with steep treads that suit a straight rail. Ridgeland Village, developed 1957–58 east of Ridgeland Avenue, has compact Cape Cods where the narrow-seat model matters. Ridgewood Homes near the Cal-Sag Channel runs to split-level entries that often need a short curved rail. We also serve Peaks Park, Moraine Villas, and the 1960s colonials with full basements near Altman Park and Veterans Memorial Park, where a platform lift can open up basement access for wheelchair users.

Common Questions

Everything Worth Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Worth, IL?

A straight stairlift in Worth starts at $2,800 installed. Curved rails start at $9,000 because each is bent to your exact staircase. Outdoor units start at $4,000 and 600 lb-rated heavy-duty models start at $5,050. We give you a firm written quote after a free in-home measurement — no surprises on install day.

Why are curved stairlifts so much more than straight ones in Worth?

A straight rail is a stock length cut to fit, so it starts at $2,800. A curved rail — common on the Ridgewood split-level entries near the Cal-Sag — has to be custom-bent to your exact angles after a laser survey, which is why it starts at $9,000. The motor and seat are similar; you're paying for the rail.

Can I finance a stairlift in Worth?

Yes. Financing starts at $79/month with 0% and low-APR plans. Approval uses a soft credit pull, so checking your rate won't affect your score. Many Worth families pair financing with a VA or state benefit to bring the monthly cost down further.

Do you offer rental or used stairlifts in Worth?

For a temporary need — recovering from surgery, a short-term stay with family — we rent straight stairlifts month to month. For curved staircases, rental usually isn't practical because the rail is custom to your home, so buying is the better value long term.

A word from Luis

I cover Worth's whole grid west of Harlem and east toward the Cal-Sag. Most of these houses went up between 1950 and 1977 — brick ranches, split-levels, and the little Cape Cods in Ridgeland Village — so I see the same two problems over and over: steep 8-inch risers on original oak treads, and split-level entries with a short flight to the front door.

For straight runs I bolt the rail to the treads, never the wall, so your plaster and trim stay untouched. On the Ridgewood split-levels near the channel I curve the rail around the half-wall landing. If you're up near Altman Park with five stone porch steps, an outdoor unit handles the Chicago winters. Call me and I'll measure your exact stairs for free before you decide anything.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Worth sits about 25 miles southwest of downtown Chicago, hemmed by forest preserve and the Cal-Sag Channel, with a housing stock built largely between 1950 and 1977. Those steep mid-century stairs are exactly what a well-fitted stairlift solves — without remodeling the house.

Whether you're in a Worth Woods brick ranch, a Ridgeland Village Cape Cod, or a Ridgewood split-level near the channel, we'll measure your stairs for free and lay out the cost, the funding options, and the timeline before you commit to anything. Call (800) 965-0350.
