Stairlift Service Across Cape May County

Cape May County, NJ

Wildwood Crest runs about two miles along the Atlantic between Wildwood and Cape May, with free beaches the whole way — no tags, no fees. Ocean Avenue carries the famous Doo Wop motel strip, where mid-century motel conversions and modern condos sit steps from the sand. Sunset Lake, on the bayside off Park Boulevard, draws full-time residents with its calm water views and single-family homes, many raised after coastal flood remapping. Centennial Park at Fern and Ocean anchors the southern end with summer concerts and a quieter residential feel. Inland streets — Cresse Avenue, the flower-named lanes like Buttercup, Wisteria, and Rambler — hold the Crest's older cottages and year-round neighborhoods, where narrow original staircases are common. Atlantic Avenue backs the motel row with condos and townhomes built from the 1970s onward, many on pilings with long entry stairs.

Straight

Beachfront Condo, Straight Rail on Dark Hardwood

Ocean Avenue Beachfront, NJ Installed March 2026

The Morrisons own a second-floor condo on Ocean Avenue with dark oak treads original to the 1960s build. The straight rail runs 14 feet up the staircase, parked at the bottom landing in a beige seat that matches the coastal decor. Luis bolted the rail directly into the hardwood treads — the drywall wasn't touched. Mrs. Morrison, 78, now uses the lift to get to the living room without help from her daughter.

Sunset Lake Townhome, Curved Rail Around Half-Wall

Sunset Lake, NJ Installed April 2026

The Gallaghers' three-story townhome off Park Boulevard has a chandelier-lit staircase that curves 90 degrees at a half-wall landing. Luis laser-measured the turn and custom-bent the rail to follow the arc exactly. The brown seat parks at the upper landing outside the master bedroom. The curved rail hugs the half-wall so tightly that the staircase still looks open and bright from the chandelier above.

Cresse Avenue Cottage, Compact Straight Rail on Stone

Cresse Avenue Corridor, NJ Installed February 2026

The Bennetts' 1958 cottage on Cresse Avenue has a narrow staircase with stone tile treads and a wooden sideboard at the base. The straight rail fits into the tight space without crowding the sideboard — the brown seat tucks neatly beside it at the bottom. Luis completed the install in under four hours. Mr. Bennett, a retired Cape May ferry worker, now gets upstairs to the bedrooms every night without stopping halfway to rest.

Centennial Park Area, NJ Installed May 2026

The Kowalskis' raised home near Centennial Park has a rough-stone exterior entry staircase — 16 steps from the driveway to the front door. The cream outdoor seat sits at the base, weather-sealed with IP55-rated components and stainless hardware. Luis mounted the rail to the stone treads with marine-grade anchors. Mrs.

Park Boulevard Condo, Straight Rail on Carpeted Stairs

Park Boulevard, NJ Installed January 2026

The Riveras' condo on Park Boulevard has wall-to-wall beige carpet on the stairs, with the seat upholstery matched closely to the carpet tone. The rail runs a simple 13-foot straight shot to the tiled ground-floor landing. Luis mounted the rail through the carpet into the treads below — no carpet damage, no visible hardware. The seat parks at the bottom when not in use, barely visible from the living room.

Platform Lift

Atlantic Avenue Year-Round Home, Inclined Wheelchair Platform

Atlantic Avenue District, NJ Installed October 2025

Mr. Crawford uses a wheelchair full-time and his Atlantic Avenue home — a year-round residence a block from the beach — needed a platform solution. Luis installed an inclined wheelchair platform on the interior staircase: black flat deck, yellow safety edges, white handrail. The platform folds up against the wall when not in use so other family members can walk the stairs normally. Mr. Crawford rolls on, presses the toggle, and rides up independently.

Common Questions

Everything Wildwood Crest Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a straight stairlift cost in Wildwood Crest?

A straight stairlift in Wildwood Crest starts at $2,800 installed. That covers a standard straight staircase up to about 16 feet — common in the 1950s cottage floor plans off Cresse Avenue and the townhome layouts on the flower streets. The price includes the rail, the seat, the battery backup, and Luis doing the full install. No hidden surcharges for the Crest — we don't charge travel fees to any municipality on Five Mile Beach.

What does a curved stairlift cost for a Wildwood Crest home?

Curved stairlifts in Wildwood Crest start at $9,000. The exact price depends on the number of turns, the rail length, and whether there's an intermediate landing. Many Crest condos and townhomes — especially the newer builds on Ocean and Atlantic avenues — have stairs that turn 90 degrees at a half-landing. Luis does a free laser measurement on site during the assessment and gives you a fixed quote before any work starts.

Does an outdoor stairlift cost more because of the salt air in Wildwood Crest?

Outdoor stairlifts in Wildwood Crest start at $4,000 and the price already accounts for the marine environment. We use IP55-rated weather sealing, stainless-steel hardware, and a UV-stabilized seat on every outdoor install in the Crest. No upcharge for coastal conditions. That $4,000 covers the full install — rail, carriage, battery backup, and weatherproofing — whether it's going onto a raised home's exterior stairs off Park Boulevard or a dune-access staircase near the beach.

Do you offer financing for stairlifts in Wildwood Crest?

Yes. Financing starts at $79 per month. We work with a third-party lender that offers 0% interest promotional periods and terms from 12 to 60 months. The application takes about five minutes and you'll have an answer before the assessment visit is over. We've financed lifts for retirees on fixed incomes all over Cape May County.

A word from Luis

Wildwood Crest is different from the rest of the Jersey Shore — and I don't just mean the free beaches. What I see every day out here are two kinds of homes: the mid-century Doo Wop motel conversions along Ocean and Atlantic avenues, and the raised single-family homes around Sunset Lake and Centennial Park that were lifted after Sandy. Both have stairs. Lots of them. The motel conversions often have narrow, enclosed stairwells from the original 1950s floor plans. The raised homes have long exterior flights to the first living level. Neither is a problem for a custom rail.

I've put curved rails into three-story townhomes on Wisteria and straight lifts into beachfront condos on Seaview. The salt air is real here — we spec the outdoor units with marine-grade sealing on every install from Hereford Inlet down to Diamond Beach. If your mom or dad owns a place in the Crest and the stairs are getting to be too much, call me. I'll come out, measure up, and tell you honestly what works. No sales pitch — just 15 years of doing this on Five Mile Beach.

— Luis Ramírez, Wildwood Crest
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Living in Wildwood Crest means salt air, free beaches, and a pace that's a notch slower than the boardwalk towns to the north. Whether you're in a raised single-family off Park Boulevard or a condo conversion along Ocean Avenue, the stairs are just part of the deal here — and when they stop being manageable, a stairlift is the fix that keeps you in the Crest instead of heading inland.

Give Luis a call at the number above or fill out the form. He'll come to your place — no charge for the assessment — measure your stairs, and tell you exactly what rail fits. Most Crest installs are done the same week. Straight rail, curved, outdoor to the dune crossover, whatever you need.
