Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across St. Louis County

St. Louis County, MO

St. Ann is compact — about 3 square miles — but its housing stock varies by subdivision. Mary Ridge, the city's oldest section from 1940, has Cape Cods with center-hall stairs that usually fit a straight rail. Saint Ann Hills features slightly larger ranches from the early 1950s, some with the half-flight turn that calls for a curved measurement. The Crestshire and Pear Tree areas off St. Charles Rock Road have the smallest original floorplans — 800 to 950 square feet — where every inch of stair width counts. West of Ashby Road, near Tiemeyer Park, you'll find post-1955 split-levels with two short flights instead of one long run, which changes the install approach entirely.

1940 Cape Cod Gets a Straight Rail

Mary Ridge, MO Installed March 2026

Dark oak treads, original to the 1940 build. The center-hall staircase had 13 steps at 34 inches wide — tight but workable. We bolted the beige straight rail directly to the treads, no drywall opened. The seat parks at the bottom landing, tucked against the wall so the living room entry stays clear. Mrs. Mueller, 78, had lived in the house since 1962.

90-Degree Turn in a 1953 Ranch

Saint Ann Hills, MO Installed January 2026

Upper-landing curve at a 90-degree turn. The staircase wrapped around a half-wall beneath a chandelier in this 1953 ranch. Luis laser-measured the radius on site — stock parts don't fit these older turns. The brown seat parks at the top floor, out of the hallway sightline. Five hours, rail bent to match the exact stair profile. No trim disturbed.

Compact Ranch, Stone-Tread Install

Crestshire, MO Installed February 2026

Stone-look tile treads in a 950-square-foot 1947 ranch off St. Charles Rock Road. The staircase runs alongside a wooden sideboard in the dining area — every bit of clearance counted. Straight rail, 12 feet, mounted to the treads with masonry-rated bolts. The brown seat folds up at the bottom, leaving 22 inches of walkway. Mr. Davis uses it twice daily for the basement-level laundry.

Outdoor

Weather-Sealed Porch Lift Near the Park

Ashby Road, MO Installed April 2026

Six-step front porch with rough stone paving, facing east with full morning sun. The outdoor rail is IP55-rated and marine-grade — salted winter melt won't corrode the track. We mounted the cream-colored seat on the right side so the handrail stays accessible. The Harringtons live two blocks from Tiemeyer Park and wanted to keep using the front entrance year-round.

Carpeted Split-Level, 3-Hour Job

Adie Road, MO Installed May 2026

Beige carpet on 14 steps in a late-1950s split-level off Adie Road. The upholstery on the brown seat nearly matches the carpet tone. Straight rail, bolted through the carpet and padding into the treads — no carpet damage beyond the bolt holes. Mrs. Thompson, recovering from hip surgery, could use the upstairs bedroom again the same afternoon.

Indoor Platform Lift for Wheelchair Access

St. Charles Rock Road, MO Installed June 2026

Flat black deck, yellow safety edges, white handrail — this indoor inclined platform carries a wheelchair up 12 steps in a ranch off St. Charles Rock Road. Not a seat lift. The platform folds up when not in use to keep the stairway passable. Mr. Williams, a veteran with a spinal injury, can now reach the main floor without a transfer. Installed in one day.

Common Questions

Everything St. Ann Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a straight stairlift cost in St. Ann?

A straight rail for a standard St. Ann staircase — 12 to 14 treads — starts at $2,800 installed. That covers the rail, seat, battery backup, and labor. Most Mary Ridge or Crestshire homes fall into this range. The price is firm after the free in-home measurement; no surprises.

What does a curved stairlift cost for a St. Ann split-level?

Curved rails start at $9,000. These are custom-bent after a 1-hour laser measurement on site. St. Ann has many 1950s split-levels with a half-landing turn, and each one has a slightly different radius. The price includes rail fabrication, DC motor, seat, battery backup, and full install.

Are there financing options for stairlifts in St. Ann?

Yes — financing starts at $79/month through our third-party partner. We also accept credit cards and checks. There's no prepayment penalty, and the approval process doesn't require a hard credit pull for the initial quote.

Is an outdoor stairlift more expensive for a St. Ann home?

Outdoor lifts start at $4,000. The added cost comes from the weather-sealed motor, IP55-rated track, and marine-grade components that handle Missouri freeze-thaw cycles and road salt. Most St. Ann porch installs are 6 to 8 feet.

A word from Luis

I've done more installs in St. Ann than any other suburb in northwest County. The homes here — Mary Ridge, Crestshire, Saint Ann Hills — were all built between 1940 and 1955. The stairs are tight. Thirty-two-inch treads are common. Straight rails fit most of them, but I always measure because these houses have settled over 70-plus years and what looks plumb on a tape measure sometimes isn't.

What I notice is how many original owners still live here, or their kids moved back in. That's who I'm usually installing for: a woman in her 70s in the same house she raised her family in, or a veteran who bought here after Korea and never left. The 3-mile drive from my shop in Bridgeton means I can be on site 15 minutes after the call.

— Luis Ramírez, St. Ann
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

St. Ann was built by and for working families — first as defense housing, then as the permanent home for the veterans who came back and stayed. That legacy shows in the homes: well-built, modest in scale, and now 70 to 85 years old. The stairs in these houses weren't built with aging in mind, but a rail bolted to the treads changes the whole equation.

We're based 3 miles away. Same-day assessments are standard here. If you're off St. Charles Rock Road, near the golf course, or over by Tiemeyer Park, we can be at your door within the hour. Call or fill out the form — Luis handles every St. Ann install personally.
