Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Berks County

Berks County, PA

We serve every part of Spring Township and the Berks County suburbs west of Reading. Spring Ridge and Springmont have newer open-plan colonials that suit a straight rail. West Wyomissing and West Lawn are mid-century neighborhoods with tighter staircases and occasional landing turns. Colony Park and Whitfield mix ranchers and split-levels, while the older Cape Cods and Dutch Colonials toward Montrose Manor and Sinking Spring have narrow treads that often need a slim-profile or angle-mounted rail. We confirm the fit on site before quoting.

Common Questions

Everything Spring Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Spring Township?

Straight stairlifts start around $2,800. Curved models, custom-bent after a laser measurement, begin at $9,000. Outdoor units for porch or deck access start at $4,000, and heavy-duty lifts rated to 600 pounds start at $5,050. Every price includes the rail, carriage, seat, installation and a 5-year warranty.

Are there hidden fees on a Spring Township stairlift install?

No. The quote from your in-home assessment is the final price. It covers the rail, seat, installation labor, cleanup and a demonstration walk-through. The assessment is free, and there are no travel surcharges anywhere in Spring Township or the surrounding Berks County boroughs.

How much more is a curved stairlift than a straight one in Spring Township?

Straight lifts run from $2,800; curved lifts from $9,000. The difference is the custom rail — for a 90° landing turn or a 180° switchback we fabricate one continuous rail bent to your exact staircase after an on-site laser measurement, which many of the older homes near Sinking Spring require.

Does insurance cover any stairlift cost for Spring Township residents?

Medicare does not cover stairlifts. Pennsylvania Medicaid can, through Community HealthChoices, which funds home modifications including stairlifts for eligible participants. VA HISA grants provide up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans. The Berks County Area Agency on Aging (610-478-6500) can also point you to local assistance.

A word from Luis

I've been putting in stairlifts across Spring Township for fifteen years, and every part of it has its own kind of house. Spring Ridge and the newer builds out toward Wernersville have wide, open colonials where a straight rail goes in clean. West Wyomissing and West Lawn are full of solid mid-century homes with tighter stairs and the occasional landing turn.

The older Cape Cods and Dutch Colonials near Sinking Spring are my favorite challenge — narrow treads, low headroom, sometimes a turn at the bottom. People assume those won't take a lift. Almost all of them do. I measure first, tell you straight whether it's a straight or curved rail, and we bolt to the treads so your woodwork stays untouched.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Spring Township anchors Berks County's suburban belt west of Reading, where homes run from 1920s Cape Cods to modern colonials — most built long before anyone thought about aging in place. Whether your stairs are a straight run in Spring Ridge or a tight turn in an older home near Sinking Spring, the rail bolts to your treads and lifts back out without a mark.

Call (800) 965-0350 for a free in-home assessment. We'll measure your staircase, check whether the VA HISA grant or Pennsylvania Community HealthChoices can help cover it, and hand you a written price the same visit.
