Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Cumberland County

Cumberland County, NC

We cover all of Spring Lake and the surrounding Cumberland County communities. Pine Forest is full of 1990s split-levels with oak treads — ideal for a straight rail with no wall work. Anderson Creek Club has larger two-stories where mid-landing turns call for a custom curved rail. Overhills Creek has compact ranchers with stone and tile treads that often need shimming for a level mount. Mitchell Farms and Sierra Village bring newer carpeted stairs and open foyers, while the older homes near Main Street have narrow staircases and tight bottom turns. We also serve Overhills Park and the military-family streets around Standley Ridge.

Common Questions

Everything Spring Lake Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Spring Lake?

Straight stairlifts start around $2,800. Curved models, custom-bent after a laser measurement, begin at $9,000. Outdoor units for porch or deck access start at $4,000, and heavy-duty lifts rated to 600 pounds start at $5,050. Every price includes the rail, carriage, seat, installation and a 5-year warranty.

Are there hidden fees on a Spring Lake stairlift install?

No. The quote from your in-home assessment is the final price. It covers the rail, seat, installation labor, cleanup and a demonstration walk-through. The assessment itself is free, and there are no travel surcharges for Spring Lake or anywhere in Cumberland County.

How much more is a curved stairlift than a straight one in Spring Lake?

Straight lifts run from $2,800; curved lifts from $9,000. The difference is the custom rail — for a 90° landing turn or a 180° switchback we fabricate one continuous rail bent to your exact staircase after an on-site laser measurement, which most Anderson Creek and Overhills Creek two-stories require.

Does insurance cover any stairlift cost for Spring Lake residents?

Medicare does not cover stairlifts. North Carolina Medicaid can, through the CAP/DA waiver (Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults), which now allows up to $28,000 for home modifications. VA HISA grants provide up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans. The Cumberland County Council on Older Adults also runs a Home Improvement Program for residents 60 and over.

A word from Luis

I've fitted stairlifts in Spring Lake for fifteen years, and the houses here tell you most of what you need to know. Pine Forest has those 1990s split-levels with oak treads — a straight rail handles nearly all of them in an afternoon. The newer two-stories around Anderson Creek Club and Overhills Creek have wider stairs, but the mid-landing turns need a custom curved rail.

So many of my Spring Lake calls come from military families near Fort Liberty. They worry about damaging base or rental property, so I tell them the same thing every time: we bolt to the treads, not the walls, and it lifts back out clean. I've also walked more retired soldiers through the VA HISA grant than I can count — if you served, ask me about it before you spend a dollar.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Spring Lake sits right at the edge of Fort Liberty, and we know what that means for the homes here — base housing rules, rental approvals, and a lot of veterans who earned benefits they've never used. Whether you're in a Pine Forest split-level or a newer Anderson Creek two-story, the install bolts to your treads and lifts back out without a mark.

Call (800) 965-0350 for a free in-home assessment. We'll measure your stairs, check whether the VA HISA grant or NC Medicaid CAP/DA can cover it, and give you a written price the same visit.
