Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across San Diego County

San Diego County, CA

Our San Marcos coverage runs from Lake San Marcos on the western edge — the 55+ community where short interior stair runs between living areas are the most common job — through the Rancho Santa Fe Road corridor of 1990s two-story stuccos, into Twin Oaks Valley where split-level ranches on generous lots regularly need curved rails. San Elijo Hills and Discovery Hills, the newer master-planned communities on the southwestern ridgeline, feature open floating staircases with glass or cable railings that we mount without touching the decorative panels. North City rounds out our primary service area with a mix of accessible-home conversions and platform lift installations.

1992 stucco two-story on Rancho Santa Fe Road — hardwood oak treads preserved

Rancho Santa Fe Road Corridor, CA Installed March 2026

A 1992 stucco two-story with 13 hardwood oak treads leading from the tile entry to the upstairs bedrooms. Mrs. Contreras had her right knee replaced at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido and needed the lift before she came home from rehab. We matched the rail hardware to the oak tread tone, bolted exclusively into the treads, and finished in 3.5 hours. The original oak banister on the opposite wall stayed untouched. She rode to the master bedroom that evening without assistance for the first time in four months.

90° landing turn in a Twin Oaks Valley split-level ranch

Twin Oaks Valley, CA Installed February 2026

A 1980s ranch on a half-acre Twin Oaks Valley lot with a classic split-level floor plan — five steps up from the entry, a 90-degree landing turn, then four more steps down to the lower family room. Two companies told the Whitfields they would need two separate straight rails. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a single continuous curved rail, and installed in one day. Mr. Whitfield, 78, rides from the kitchen level to his workshop in the lower level in a single trip. The powered swivel at the upper landing lets him step off onto the hardwood floor rather than the top tread.

Compact Lake San Marcos condo — stone-tile treads beside a wooden credenza

Lake San Marcos, CA Installed January 2026

A compact 55+ condo in the Lake San Marcos community with a four-step interior drop from the living room to the den. The stone-tile treads and narrow stairway sit next to a wooden credenza Mrs. Nakamura has had since 1987. We specified the slim-profile model, bolted the rail into the stone tiles with masonry anchors, and positioned the seat so it parks flush without blocking the credenza or the hallway light switch. The cozy, traditional space didn’t change at all to accommodate the lift — the seat folds flat and the credenza with its framed family photos stays exactly where it has always been. Install finished in two and a half hours.

Raised entry in San Elijo Hills — six exterior stone-paved steps

San Elijo Hills, CA Installed December 2025

A 2005 San Elijo Hills home with a raised front entry and six exterior stone-paved steps from the driveway to the front door — the only way into the house. Mr. Padilla, 74, had been using the garage side entrance on flat ground but that route meant walking an extra 90 feet around the house. We anchored a weather-sealed outdoor rail into the stone treads with stainless masonry bolts, fitted the cream-colored IP54-sealed seat, and applied the marine-grade rail coating standard for any North County install. He rides from his driveway to his front door in under 30 seconds, rain or shine.

14 carpeted treads in a Discovery Hills two-story

Discovery Hills, CA Installed November 2025

A newer Discovery Hills two-story with 14 fully carpeted treads and a wide builder-grade staircase. Sra. Delgado had bilateral knee replacement and her bedroom is upstairs. Luis walked her through every option in Spanish, bolted the rail through the carpet into the subfloor beneath, and color-matched the brown upholstered seat to the warm carpet tones. The seat folds flat against the wall and her grandchildren still run up and down without obstruction. Install finished in three hours flat.

Platform Lift

Indoor wheelchair platform lift in a North City accessible home

North City, CA Installed October 2025

Mr. Reyes sustained a spinal cord injury during service and uses a power wheelchair full-time — a seated stairlift was never an option. His North City home has a five-step rise between the main living area and the upper hallway. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift against the stairway wall — a flat black anti-slip platform with high-visibility yellow safety edges on all sides, interlocked gates at top and bottom, and battery backup. He rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and rides to the upper level without leaving his chair. His VA occupational therapist approved it on the first home visit.

Common Questions

Everything San Marcos Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in San Marcos right now?

Straight rails in standard San Marcos homes — the two-story stuccos along Rancho Santa Fe Road, the condos in Lake San Marcos, the townhomes in San Elijo Hills — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for split-level ranches in Twin Oaks Valley or landing turns in older Escondido homes run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor and humidity-sealed models for raised patios and garage entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are the short 3-to-5-step interior runs in Lake San Marcos condos cheaper?

Yes. A short straight run under 8 feet — the living-room-to-den step-down or the den-to-garage drop common in Lake San Marcos age-restricted condos — is at the low end of our straight-rail range. The equipment is the same; the rail is just shorter, and install time drops to about 2 hours. These short-run installs account for roughly a quarter of our Lake San Marcos work. Written quote, same warranty, same battery backup — just a shorter rail and a smaller number on the invoice.

Do you charge extra for HOA-managed condos?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. We have worked with the Lake San Marcos HOA associations, San Elijo Hills master association, and several Escondido 55+ communities. California’s FEHA requires HOAs to grant reasonable accommodations for residents with documented disabilities — we prepare the FEHA accommodation packet and submit it on your behalf at no charge. Most HOA approvals in San Marcos resolve within five to ten business days.

Do you offer financing for San Marcos residents?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79/month. Application is a soft credit pull that does not affect your credit score, takes about four minutes, and approval is usually instant. Many San Marcos families combine financing with the IRS medical deduction or a partial VA HISA grant to bring the monthly cost down significantly. We model the payment scenarios for you during the free assessment.

A word from Luis

San Marcos sits right in the middle of North County — the homes here range from Lake San Marcos retirement condos with four-step interior drops to brand-new floating staircases in San Elijo Hills. Inland heat, Camp Pendleton veterans, HOA-managed communities, and a large Spanish-speaking population shape every install we do. I handle the VA paperwork, the HOA accommodation letters, and the CSLB licensing questions so you can focus on getting your mobility back.
