Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Nassau County

Nassau County, NY

We serve Roslyn Estates — wide streets, mature oaks, mid-century split-levels and colonials with staircases that often need straight-rail retrofits. Roslyn Heights splits into the historic northern tier and the Country Club section to the south, where larger renovated homes from the 1950s and '60s feature expanded layouts with longer stair runs. East Hills has spacious properties around the Park at East Hills, many with carpeted staircases. Roslyn Harbor runs along the waterfront — Gold Coast estates and newer builds where outdoor lifts face salt-air exposure from Hempstead Harbor. Flower Hill and North Hills round out our coverage, from Rolling Woods colonials to wooded cul-de-sac properties.

Straight

Oak-Tread Split-Level in Roslyn Estates

Roslyn Estates, NY Installed March 2026

A 1968 split-level on a tree-lined street. The straight oak staircase had 13 treads, worn smooth from decades of use. The Gallaghers needed a lift for Mrs. Gallagher, who has arthritis and could no longer manage the climb from the garage-level entry. We bolted a straight rail to the treads — no wall drilling. The beige seat matches the warm oak tones. Installed and tested in three hours.

Curved

Victorian Curved Stair on Main Street

Main Street Historic District, NY Installed February 2026

An 1875 Stick Victorian with the original walnut banister and a tight 90-degree turn at the landing. The Whitmores wanted to preserve the historic woodwork. We did a 3D laser scan of the staircase, then had a custom curved rail fabricated to follow the turn exactly. The rail mounts to the treads, not the wall, leaving the original plaster and trim untouched.

Country Club Renovated Colonial

Country Club, Roslyn Heights, NY Installed January 2026

A 1955 colonial in the Country Club section, renovated in 2001 with stone-tread stairs off the kitchen. The staircase is compact — 30 inches wide with a sideboard at the base. Mrs. Rosenberg had a hip replacement and needed temporary stair access. We installed a straight rail in the narrow gap alongside the sideboard. The brown seat blends with the dark wood furniture. The lift can be removed cleanly once she recovers.

Outdoor

Hempstead Harbor Porch Lift

Roslyn Harbor, NY Installed April 2026

A waterfront home off Bryant Avenue with a flagstone entry porch — six steps up from the driveway, exposed to salt air from Hempstead Harbor. The DiPietros needed a lift for Mr. DiPietro, 82, who could not manage the outdoor steps in winter. We installed an IP55-rated outdoor rail with marine-grade stainless hardware and a cream seat on rugged stone paving.

Carpeted East Hills Two-Story

East Hills, NY Installed May 2026

A two-story colonial near the Park at East Hills, built in 1987, with wall-to-wall beige carpet on the staircase. The Chens' mother moved in after a stroke and needed help reaching the second-floor bedrooms. We anchored a straight rail through the carpet into the solid-wood treads beneath. The brown seat blends into the carpet tones. Installed in one morning — the Chens had the lift running by noon.

Platform Lift

Wheelchair Platform in Flower Hill

Flower Hill, NY Installed March 2026

A Rolling Woods colonial with a straight indoor staircase — 16 treads, hardwood. Mr. Bennett uses a wheelchair full-time and could only access the ground floor. We installed an inclined platform lift with a flat black deck and yellow safety edges. The platform folds up against the wall when not in use. The white handrail runs parallel to the existing banister. Mr.

Common Questions

Everything Roslyn Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a stairlift cost in Roslyn, NY?

A straight stairlift in Roslyn starts at $2,800 installed. Curved lifts, which are custom-bent to match your exact staircase after a laser measurement, start at $9,000. Outdoor lifts for Roslyn Harbor or waterfront-area porch stairs start at $4,000 with marine-grade sealing included — the salt air off Hempstead Harbor requires it. Heavy-duty lifts rated for 600 lb start at $5,050. We offer financing from $79/month. Every quote comes after an in-home assessment — no phone estimates, no surprises.

Why are curved stairlifts more expensive in Roslyn homes?

Curved lifts cost more because every rail is custom-manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. In Roslyn, this matters a lot — a Main Street Victorian with a 90-degree mid-flight landing and a Roslyn Harbor estate with a sweeping curved staircase need completely different rail bends. The rail is fabricated off-site from a 3D scan taken during the measurement visit, then installed in one trip. There is no universal curved rail that fits all homes; each one is a one-off.

Does insurance cover stairlift costs in Nassau County?

Medicare does not cover stairlifts. However, New York Medicaid's NHTD (Nursing Home Transition and Diversion) Waiver can cover home modifications including stairlifts when a physician certifies medical necessity and the recipient meets nursing-home level of care criteria. Some long-term care insurance policies also include durable medical equipment coverage. We can help you check your policy during the in-home assessment.

Are there any hidden fees with a Roslyn stairlift installation?

No. Our price includes the in-home measurement visit, the rail, the chair, the installation labor, and a demonstration of how the lift works. We do not charge travel fees to Roslyn or any surrounding community. The only time the price changes is if your staircase layout differs from what we discussed during the assessment — and we confirm that with you before ordering the rail.

A word from Luis

I've installed lifts in Roslyn Estates split-levels where the staircase does a tight 90-degree turn halfway up, and in 1830s Main Street colonials where the original treads are worn smooth after 190 years. Every house here tells a story — you see Dutch-framed beams in the older ones, or wide mid-century staircases in Country Club homes. The install approach changes with each one, but the goal never does: getting someone up and down safely without changing the character of their home.

Hempstead Harbor is less than a mile from most of the village, so outdoor lifts on Roslyn Harbor porches need marine-grade sealing — the salt air eats through cheaper hardware in two seasons. We learned that the hard way years ago. Now every outdoor rail gets IP55-rated coating and stainless fasteners. For the Gold Coast-era homes with those grand curved staircases, we do a laser measurement on site, then the rail comes back custom-bent — one shot, no trial-and-error.

— Luis Ramírez, Roslyn
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Roslyn sits about 22 miles east of Midtown Manhattan — a Gold Coast village built around a Dutch grist mill from 1715, now surrounded by some of the highest-value real estate on Long Island. The housing mix here is unusual: 1830s Main Street Victorians sit within a mile of 1960s Roslyn Heights colonials and waterfront estates in Roslyn Harbor. That range means no two jobs are the same, and we carry the full product line for a reason.

If you are researching stairlift options for a parent's home in Roslyn or one of the surrounding villages, call Luis directly. He will come out — no charge, no obligation — measure the stairs, and tell you exactly what will work and what it will cost. Most installs happen inside a week.
