Bestseller

The workhorse of Riverside's 1980s-2000s tract stock — Canyon Crest, Orangecrest, Mission Grove, La Sierra two-story stucco homes. Roughly 65% of the stairlifts we install across Riverside are this model. A single straight run, usually 12 to 14 treads, the rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the drywall, never into the banister), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the battery backup is sized to carry you through a Southern California Edison public-safety power shutoff — not just a brief outage. Most Riverside installs wrap in under four hours, same week as the assessment, CSLB-licensed under C-61/D-34. Every install comes with a 10-year warranty and our first-year service visit included.

Starting at $3,200 installed

Stairlift Service Across Riverside County

Riverside County, CA

Riverside's housing stock ranges from the 1910s-1930s Craftsman bungalows of the Wood Streets Historic District — where nine out of ten calls start with 'do not touch the banister' — to the 1920s Mission Revival and Spanish colonial homes in the Mission Inn District with original Mexican tile risers and arched plaster doorways. South of the 91, Magnolia Center and Arlington are dominated by 1950s-60s post-war ranches where the problem is usually three garage-to-kitchen steps, not a full staircase. Canyon Crest, Orangecrest, and Mission Grove run 1980s-2000s tract two-stories with standard 13-tread staircases a straight rail handles in three hours. The hillside pockets — Hawarden Hills and Alessandro Heights — need heat-rated exterior runs on long driveways. La Sierra, Arlanza, Casa Blanca, and the Eastside book assessments in Spanish as the default. We also serve the UCR Area and Northside regularly.

1923 Wood Streets Craftsman on Rosewood — rail threaded past the original oak banister

Wood Streets Historic District, CA Installed March 2026

A 1923 Craftsman bungalow on Rosewood Avenue, third generation in the same family, with the original oak banister, built-in bookcases flanking the staircase, and the hand-troweled plaster the Holloways had spent four years restoring. The daughter's first sentence on the phone was 'do not touch the banister.' We brought walnut and honey-oak stain samples to the first visit, matched the rail finish to the 103-year-old handrail wood, and bolted the track into the existing dark hardwood stair treads without contacting a single spindle, newel post, or plaster wall. The seat sits unfolded at the bottom landing, the straight rail runs along the right side of the open-tread staircase, and the warm indoor light makes the whole install feel like it belongs in the house. Her mother's bridge club didn't notice it for the first two weeks.

1926 Mission Inn District Spanish colonial — 90° landing turn with preserved tile risers

Mission Inn District, CA Installed February 2026

A 1926 Mission Revival two blocks from the Mission Inn, with original Mexican tile risers, arched plaster doorways, and a 90° landing turn halfway up the interior stairs. A straight rail was physically impossible and Mrs. Delacruz had been refusing a lift for two years because every other company had told her they would need to remove the tile risers to anchor the track. We laser-scanned on the first visit, fabricated a curved rail around the landing, and installed in a single afternoon without touching a tile. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the upper floor landing where the curved rail bends around the half-wall balustrade, and the seat swivels 90° at the top so she steps off onto the hallway floor. Framed art on the wall and the chandelier above stayed untouched throughout the install.

1952 Arlington cottage — straight rail on stone treads next to the oak sideboard

Arlington, CA Installed January 2026

A 1952 single-story cottage in Arlington with a compact interior staircase down to the converted basement — stone treads, a wooden sideboard with a potted plant at the base of the stairs, and the cozy traditional feel of the post-war Riverside bungalows built along Arlington Avenue. Mr. Aguilar, 82, had stopped going downstairs after a fall in November. The space was tight — the rail had to thread past the sideboard without blocking the hallway — so we mounted the straight track along the inside wall of the narrow stairwell, keeping the brown-upholstered seat tucked close to the stone treads. The compact install took four hours and the whole assessment was conducted in Spanish at the Aguilars' request.

Canyon Crest raised porch — outdoor lift on stone-paved entry steps

Canyon Crest, CA Installed December 2025

A 1996 two-story in Canyon Crest with a raised front porch and five rough natural stone-paved steps from the driveway up to the front door. Mrs. Prescott had tripped on the uneven stone in October and her son in San Diego called us the next morning. We anchored a weather-resistant cream seat rail into the stone paving with stainless-steel masonry fasteners, installed a carpeted outdoor tread mat at the bottom landing for sure footing, and sealed every component against Inland Empire heat and Santa Ana dust. Natural daylight floods the covered porch entry from above. The battery backup is sized for Southern California Edison PSPS shutoffs — Canyon Crest sits in a PSPS circuit. Mrs. Prescott rides from the driveway to her front door twice a day.

Orangecrest tract home — straight rail on carpeted stairs at the landing

Orangecrest, CA Installed November 2025

A 2001 two-story tract home in Orangecrest with carpeted stairs and a landing halfway up. Dr. Alvarenga, 77, had stopped using the second floor after a hip replacement at Riverside Community Hospital. The brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet tones on the landing, wall-mounted light switches stayed clear of the rail path, and the tiled floor at the bottom of the landing provided a stable dismount surface. The Orangecrest HOA required a reasonable-accommodation filing under California FEHA Government Code 12927 — we submitted the packet and had board approval in a single cycle. Three hours on site, standard residential install, and Dr. Alvarenga was back upstairs that evening.

Platform Lift

La Sierra home — indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift for full-time chair user

La Sierra, CA Installed October 2025

A two-story home in La Sierra where Mrs. Molina's father moved in after a stroke left him in a full-time wheelchair. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed a flat platform that could carry the wheelchair up the indoor stairway without any transfer. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip surface, yellow high-visibility safety edges around the platform perimeter, and a white handrail along the wall side. The orange-terracotta accent wall and the stairway window stayed untouched. The platform rides along the indoor stairway from the ground floor to the upper landing. Mr. Molina wheels onto the platform, presses one button, and rolls off at the top. No transfers, no lifting, no help needed.

Common Questions

Everything Riverside Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Riverside right now?

Straight rails in a standard two-story Riverside home — Canyon Crest, Orangecrest, Mission Grove, the 1980s-2000s tract stock — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, common in the 1920s Mission Revival homes in the Mission Inn District and the few Wood Streets Craftsmans with a mid-stair landing, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact stair geometry. Outdoor runs in Hawarden Hills and Alessandro Heights — street-to-entry driveway installs — run $6,500 to $14,000 depending on length. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the rail, seat, heat-rated battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices higher in Hawarden Hills or Alessandro Heights than in Arlanza or Casa Blanca?

Equipment prices are identical across every Riverside ZIP. We do not inflate quotes for a 92506 hillside address or discount them for a 92503 flatland address. What can vary is install labor for unusual site conditions — long exterior runs on Hawarden Hills driveways, historic banister preservation in the Wood Streets District, Cultural Heritage Board review for exterior-visible work in designated historic zones, and heat-rated upgrades for west-facing outdoor installs. Those line items show up on the written quote before you sign, never after. No 'hillside surcharge,' no 'Mission Inn premium.'

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service on the Eastside, Casa Blanca, or Arlanza?

No. Every Riverside assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual, the entire home visit runs in Spanish start to finish, and every printed quote, consent form, operating manual, and safety sheet is available in Spanish at no charge. A large share of our Eastside, Casa Blanca, and Arlanza work is Spanish-default, not Spanish-on-request. The safety walkthrough at the end of install day is done in whichever language the user prefers — zero surcharge, zero awkwardness.

Do you offer financing if I don't qualify for Medi-Cal HCBA or VA HISA?

Yes. Three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans starting around $79/month for a standard straight rail. Application is a soft credit pull with no hit to your score, takes about 4 minutes, and approval is usually instant. Many Riverside families stack a partial VA HISA grant against the balance and then finance the remainder, or combine the federal medical deduction with financing to bring the effective monthly cost below $50. We walk through the exact numbers during the free in-home assessment — no obligation, and the written quote is yours to take to any other company for comparison.

A word from Luis

Most Riverside calls I take start the same way: a daughter in Canyon Crest whose father hasn't been downstairs in nine days, a Wood Streets homeowner asking me — before I've said three words — whether the rail is going to touch the 1923 oak banister, a March ARB retiree who wants to know if his VA prescription still moves at Loma Linda, or a Magnolia Center grandmother who can make it through the house fine but can't manage the three steps from the garage into the kitchen anymore.

My job is simple: drive out to your house within 24 hours, laser-measure the stairs once, and hand you a written price that holds for 30 days. No pressure, no upsell, no 'hillside surcharge' for Hawarden or Alessandro Heights. En español si lo prefiere — sin costo adicional, cada paso del proceso.
