Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can cancel a stairlift order or request a refund from All American Stairlifts (operated by Infosys Consulting LLC). We coordinate stairlift sales and installation through independent contractors and manufacturers. Refund eligibility depends on the stage of your order.
1. Before an Order Is Placed
If you receive a quote but decide not to proceed, there is no charge and no obligation. Quotes are free. In-home assessments arranged through our network may carry a flat assessment fee, which is disclosed before the visit is scheduled. The assessment fee is earned upon completion of the visit and is non-refundable, even if you do not proceed with a purchase. If you do purchase a stairlift, the assessment fee is credited toward your total.
2. Cancellation Before Installation
Before Equipment Is Ordered
If you cancel after signing a purchase agreement but before we have placed the equipment order with the manufacturer, you will receive a full refund of your deposit within 10 business days.
After Equipment Is Ordered — Straight Stairlifts
If a straight stairlift has been ordered from the manufacturer but not yet installed, you may cancel. Your refund will be the deposit amount minus any manufacturer restocking fee and non-recoverable shipping costs. Restocking fees vary by brand but typically range from 15% to 25% of the equipment cost. We will provide the exact amount before processing your cancellation.
After Equipment Is Ordered — Curved Stairlifts
Curved stairlift rails are custom-manufactured to the exact geometry of your specific staircase. Each curved rail is a one-of-a-kind component — it fits your staircase and no other. Once the manufacturer begins rail fabrication (typically 5-7 business days after final measurements are confirmed), the curved rail portion of your order is non-refundable. This is because the manufacturer cannot resell or repurpose a custom rail.
If you cancel a curved stairlift order after fabrication has begun:
- The custom rail cost is non-refundable.
- Standard components (seat unit, motor, controls) may be refundable minus restocking fees.
- We will itemize the refundable and non-refundable portions for you in writing.
3. After Installation
Once a stairlift is installed in your home, returns and refunds are governed by the manufacturer's policy, not ours. Most manufacturers do not accept returns of installed equipment because:
- The rail has been cut and mounted to your specific staircase length.
- Mounting hardware has been drilled into your stairs or wall.
- The equipment has been used and cannot be sold as new.
If your stairlift has a defect, it is covered under the manufacturer's warranty. If the installation itself is defective, it is covered under our 30-day workmanship guarantee. See our Warranty Terms page for details.
4. Rental Returns
If you rented a stairlift through our rental program:
- You may end your rental agreement at any time with 30 days' written notice.
- We will schedule a removal at no charge during the notice period.
- The stairlift must be in normal working condition, with reasonable wear and tear expected. Damage beyond normal use (cosmetic damage, broken components, unauthorized modifications) may result in charges against your security deposit.
- Monthly rental payments already made are non-refundable. Refunds apply only to prepaid rental periods beyond the 30-day notice window.
5. Financing Cancellation
If you financed your stairlift through one of our third-party lending partners:
- Cancellation and refund of the equipment order follows the same rules described above.
- Cancellation of the financing agreement itself is governed by the lender's terms and applicable federal and state consumer lending laws, including any right-of-rescission period.
- Contact both AAS and your lender if you wish to cancel a financed order. We will coordinate with the lender to process any applicable refund to the financing account.

Include your name, order number (if available), and the reason for cancellation. We will confirm the refund amount and timeline in writing within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days to the original payment method.
