This page explains how warranties work when you purchase a stairlift through All American Stairlifts (operated by Infosys Consulting LLC). The key point: we do not manufacture stairlifts, so we do not provide a manufacturer's warranty. Your warranty comes from the brand that built your equipment. We help you register it, understand it, and use it when you need to.

1. How Stairlift Warranties Work Through AAS

When you purchase a stairlift through All American Stairlifts, your product warranty is issued by the manufacturer — Bruno, Handicare (Savaria), Stannah, Harmar, or another brand we carry. We act as an authorized channel for these brands, meaning your purchase through us qualifies for the same factory warranty as a direct purchase.

At the time of installation, our installer registers your stairlift warranty with the manufacturer on your behalf. You will receive warranty documentation either from us or directly from the manufacturer, depending on the brand. We keep a copy of your warranty registration in our records so we can assist with claims.

If you need warranty service, you can contact us directly. We will determine whether the issue is covered under warranty, coordinate with the manufacturer, and dispatch a qualified service technician. You do not need to navigate the manufacturer's claims process yourself — that is part of what we do.

2. Manufacturer Warranty Summary by Brand

The following is a general summary of manufacturer warranty coverage as of the effective date of this page. Warranty terms are set by each manufacturer and may change. Your specific warranty terms are documented in the warranty certificate provided at installation. Always refer to your warranty certificate for the terms that apply to your unit.

Bruno

  • Drivetrain (motor, gearbox, rack): 5 years
  • Major components (circuit boards, wiring harness): 5 years
  • Battery: 2 years
  • Upholstery and cosmetic parts: 1 year
  • Coverage type: Parts and labor during the first year. Parts only for years 2-5.

Handicare (Savaria)

  • Motor and gearbox: 5 years
  • Electronics and controls: 5 years
  • Battery: 2 years
  • Seat and upholstery: 1 year
  • Coverage type: Parts and labor during the first year. Parts only for years 2-5.

Stannah

  • Motor and gearbox: 5 years
  • Electrical components: 2 years
  • Rail and track: 10 years (Stannah offers the longest rail warranty in the industry)
  • Battery: 2 years
  • Coverage type: Parts and labor during the first year. Parts only for years 2-5 (motor/gearbox) and 2-10 (rail).

Harmar

  • Drivetrain: 3 years
  • Electronics: 3 years
  • Battery: 1 year
  • Structural components: 3 years
  • Coverage type: Parts and labor during the first year. Parts only for years 2-3.

These summaries are provided for general reference. Specific models within each brand may have different warranty terms. Your warranty certificate is the authoritative document.

3. What Voids the Manufacturer Warranty

The following actions will void your manufacturer warranty. These restrictions are set by the manufacturers, not by AAS:

  • Unauthorized modification: Altering the stairlift's electrical system, mechanical components, or rail in any way not approved by the manufacturer.
  • DIY installation: Installing the stairlift yourself instead of using a manufacturer-certified installer. All stairlifts purchased through AAS are installed by certified professionals, so this should not be an issue for our customers.
  • Unauthorized service: Having the stairlift repaired or serviced by a technician who is not certified by the manufacturer. If you need service, contact us and we will dispatch a qualified technician.
  • Commercial use: Using a residential stairlift in a commercial building, rental property open to the public, or any application it was not designed for. Residential stairlifts are rated for single-family home use.
  • Exceeding weight capacity: Operating the stairlift above its rated weight capacity, which is specified in your owner's manual and on the unit itself.
  • Environmental damage: Damage caused by flooding, fire, lightning, power surges, or other events outside normal use. Indoor stairlifts damaged by outdoor exposure (e.g., installed in an open carport) are not covered.
  • Neglect: Failure to perform basic maintenance as described in the owner's manual, such as keeping the rail clean and the charging contacts free of debris.

4. AAS 30-Day Workmanship Guarantee

Separate from the manufacturer's product warranty, All American Stairlifts provides a 30-day workmanship guarantee on every installation performed through our network.

This guarantee covers the quality of the installation work itself — not the stairlift equipment. If an installation-related issue arises within 30 days of your installation date, we will dispatch an installer to correct it at no additional charge. Examples of covered issues:

  • Rail not properly secured to the staircase.
  • Electrical connection issues caused by the installation.
  • Charging station not positioned correctly.
  • Minor cosmetic damage to the staircase or wall caused during installation.

The workmanship guarantee does not cover:

  • Product defects (covered by the manufacturer warranty).
  • Issues caused by modifications you made after installation.
  • Normal wear from use.
  • Damage from misuse, accidents, or events unrelated to the installation.

To make a workmanship guarantee claim, contact us at [email protected] or call +1 (504) 899-8225 within 30 days of your installation date.

5. After Warranty Expires

When your manufacturer warranty expires, we still support your stairlift. We offer paid service and maintenance through our installer network. Annual maintenance visits help extend the life of your equipment and catch issues early. Contact us to schedule a maintenance visit or request a service call for an out-of-warranty unit.
