Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Bucks County

Bucks County, PA

We cover every village in Plumstead Township. In the Dyerstown Historic District and along Old Easton Road, the 1800s stone houses have steep, narrow oak staircases that suit a slim straight rail. Gardenville and Wismer farmhouses frequently turn at a half-landing, so they need a custom curved rail. Plumsteadville's mid-century Capes off PA 611 take standard straight runs, while Point Pleasant homes on the sloped Tohickon Creek lots often want an outdoor lift to the porch. We also serve Danboro, Curly Hill, and Fountainville. Nearby we work in Buckingham, Doylestown, New Britain, and Hilltown.

Straight

Dyerstown — straight rail on original oak treads

Dyerstown Historic District, PA Installed January 2026

This 1830s stone house on Old Easton Road has the staircase Bucks County colonials are known for — 13 steep risers and narrow dark-oak treads. We bolted a straight rail to the treads from the bottom landing. The cream seat parks at the base on the hardwood, folds to 12 inches, and leaves the stairs fully open for the Morrisons' grandchildren.

Gardenville — curved rail at the upper landing

Gardenville, PA Installed October 2025

This 1790s farmhouse in the Gardenville–North Branch Rural Historic District has a staircase that rises six steps, hits a half-landing, then turns 90 degrees left. The curved rail was laser-measured on site in one hour and bent at our shop. The brown seat parks out of sight at the top floor beneath a period chandelier at the upper landing.

Plumsteadville, PA Installed February 2026

A 1950s Cape on a side street off PA 611. Twelve stone-tread steps, 30 inches wide, with a wooden sideboard at the base. The straight rail fit neatly between the wall and the furniture — nothing moved. Three hours, plugged into the wall outlet at the bottom of the stairs. Mrs. DeLuca was using the upstairs bathroom on her own by noon.

Curly Hill, PA Installed May 2026

A newer-construction home in Plumstead's preserved-farmland zone off Curly Hill Road. Fourteen carpeted steps, standard width, tiled floor at the base. The rail bolted through the carpet cleanly into the treads — no carpet damage, no drywall work. The brown seat upholstery nearly matches the beige carpet. Mr. O'Brien's golden retriever learned to ride alongside within a week.

Platform Lift

Danboro — indoor wheelchair platform lift

Danboro, PA Installed April 2026

Mr. Russo uses a wheelchair full-time and hadn't reached the second floor of his 1980s split-level near Danboro in two years. We installed an inclined platform lift along the main staircase — flat black deck, yellow safety edges, white handrail. It carries 600 lb and parks folded upright at the bottom landing. His wife still walks the same stairs normally beside it.

Common Questions

Everything Plumstead Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Plumstead Township?

Straight-rail stairlifts in Plumstead start at $2,800 installed. Curved rails — common in older Gardenville and Dyerstown homes with staircase turns — start at $9,000. Outdoor units for sloped Point Pleasant lots begin at $4,000, and heavy-duty 600 lb models start at $5,050.

Why do curved stairlifts cost more in Plumstead?

Each curved rail is custom-bent to your exact staircase after a one-hour laser measurement. Older Plumstead homes — stone colonials along Curly Hill Road, farmhouses near Wismer — have turns no two houses share. The rail is fabricated at our Pennsylvania shop, then installed in one visit.

Are there extra fees for installation in Plumstead Township?

No. The price we quote is the price you pay — measurement, rail fabrication, installation, cleanup, and the first-year service call are all included. Plumstead is in our regular Bucks County service area, so there's no travel surcharge.

What financing options are available for a stairlift in Plumstead?

Financing starts at $79/month through our third-party partner, and approval takes minutes. We also accept credit cards and checks, and we can help you apply for Pennsylvania's Community HealthChoices (CHC) Waiver if you qualify.

A word from Luis

I've installed stairlifts across Plumstead Township for over a decade, and the housing here runs the full range. Stone colonials along Curly Hill Road from the 1790s have staircase turns that need a custom curved rail. Newer Capes off PA 611 in Plumsteadville take a straight 12- to 14-step run. Farmhouses near Wismer and Gardenville often split at a half-landing.

What I tell every Plumstead family is the same: the rail bolts to the stair treads, not the wall or the balusters. In an 18th-century stone house on Old Easton Road, that's what keeps the original woodwork and plaster untouched. For veterans, the VA HISA grant covers up to $6,800, and I point folks to the Bucks County Veterans Affairs office in Doylestown to start the paperwork.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Plumstead Township asks more of a stairlift than most places. The homes span three centuries — stone farmhouses from the 1700s, center-hall colonials from the 1800s, and modern subdivisions off PA 611. Every staircase is different, which is why we measure every job in person, not over the phone.

Call the number above or fill out the form, and Luis will schedule a free assessment at your Plumstead home. He'll measure the stairs, walk through funding — HISA, the CHC Waiver, or $79/month financing — and give you a firm quote before he leaves. No pressure, no same-day-closing tactics. Just a number you can plan around.
