Stairlift Service Across Collin County

Collin County, TX

From Legacy West — where the executive two-stories have sweeping foyer staircases with wrought-iron spindles and ceramic-tile treads that need color-matched rail finishes — to Willow Bend, where the 1990s homes have the 16-step runs that are our bread-and-butter straight-rail install, our team has mapped every subdivision. We know which Kings Gate homes have the open-riser staircase that requires a special bracket mount, which Custer Creek Estates HOAs have the fastest turnaround on ARB submissions, which Deerfield colonials from the 1980s have the narrow top landing that needs a swivel-exit seat, and which Meadows ranch-styles have the split-level garage entry that's the real accessibility problem.

Willow Bend foyer — rail color-matched to dark oak treads and wrought-iron

Willow Bend, TX Installed March 2026

A 1997 executive home in Willow Bend with a sweeping foyer staircase, dark oak treads, and wrought-iron spindles. The daughter called from Austin — her mother, 82, had been sleeping in the downstairs guest room for a month. We matched the rail finish to the dark oak, bolted the track into the hardwood treads without touching the wrought-iron, and positioned the unfolded seat at the bottom of the stairs where it practically disappears against the warm-toned wood. The HOA approved the install in four days.

90° landing turn in a Kings Gate executive home

Kings Gate, TX Installed February 2026

A 2003 executive home in Kings Gate with a 90° turn at the upper landing and a chandelier hanging in the stairwell. We laser-scanned the staircase during the first visit, custom-fabricated a curved rail that threads under the chandelier and bends around the half-wall balustrade in one continuous run, and added a swivel-exit seat at the top floor. The seat parks at the upper landing beside the framed art on the hallway wall. Mrs. Sharma's mother rode it for the first time that evening.

Deerfield colonial — slim rail in a compact 1980s stairwell

Deerfield, TX Installed January 2026

A 1985 colonial in Deerfield where the staircase runs between the original tile-and-stone entry and the upper hallway, with a wooden sideboard and potted plant pressed against the wall at the bottom. The builder cut corners on stair width — a common complaint in early Plano subdivisions. We fitted the compact-profile straight rail, positioned the seat at the bottom beside the sideboard, and added a folding footrest so the lift tucks flat when parked. The cozy, traditional feel of the stairwell is unchanged.

Custer Creek Estates raised entry — outdoor seat on stone-paved porch steps

Custer Creek Estates, TX Installed November 2025

A raised-entry home in Custer Creek Estates where the front porch has five rough natural stone-paved steps from the walkway to the front door. Mr. Mitchell, 77, had been using the garage to avoid them. We installed a cream-colored weather-sealed outdoor seat anchored into the existing stone paving, UV-coated for the North Texas sun, and heat-rated for summer temperatures. The seat rides from the stone floor up to the covered porch entry, and a carpeted tread at the bottom step cushions the boarding area.

Legacy-area carpeted stairs — swivel-exit seat for safer top-landing exit

Legacy West, TX Installed October 2025

A two-story home near Legacy West with 15 carpeted treads and a narrow top landing. Mrs. Park's biggest concern was stepping off at the top — her husband had stumbled there the previous summer. We installed the brown-upholstered seat on a straight rail with the swivel-exit that rotates 90° at the upper landing. The carpet-covered treads hide the brackets completely, and the seat's brown upholstery blends with the carpet tones. The tiled floor at the bottom landing marks the transition.

Platform Lift

Indoor wheelchair platform for a Meadows split-level garage entry

Meadows, TX Installed September 2025

The Rodriguez's father uses a power wheelchair and needed indoor access from the garage level to the main living area — a three-step rise that is the single biggest accessibility barrier in Plano's ranch-style homes. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway with a flat black anti-slip deck, yellow high-visibility safety edges, and a white handrail. The orange-toned walls frame the platform against the window light. The STAR+PLUS waiver covered the full installation, and the platform folds flat when not in use.

Common Questions

Everything Plano Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Plano right now?

Straight rails in standard Plano two-story homes — the colonials in Deerfield, the executive homes in Willow Bend, the townhouses along Legacy — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, needed for the occasional split-level entry or custom staircase with a landing turn, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries and pool-deck access run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Plano than other DFW suburbs?

Equipment prices are the same across North Texas — we don't inflate quotes for Legacy or Willow Bend addresses. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: color-matching rail finishes to wrought-iron or tile in high-end foyers, HOA paperwork timelines, and the high-heat lubricant that ships standard on every Texas install. We tell you the line items upfront. No surprise 'Plano premiums.'

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Collin County assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has walked dozens of families through every line of the paperwork in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Any hidden fees for HOA-required submissions?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you — we've worked with 50+ Plano HOAs including Legacy West, Willow Bend, Kings Gate, Chase Oaks, and Custer Creek Estates, so the architectural review templates are already on file. Under the federal Fair Housing Act, HOAs cannot unreasonably refuse an accessibility modification for a documented medical need. We provide the Fair Housing documentation packet at no charge. What can add cost (rarely) is when a board requires its own engineer's review. If that happens, we tell you first.

A word from Luis

Most Plano families call me after a near-miss — a slip on the tile stairs of a Willow Bend two-story, a parent who hasn't been upstairs since a knee replacement, a daughter in Austin worried about her mother alone in a Legacy-area home with 16 stairs between her and the master bedroom.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
