Stairlift Service Across Kane County

Kane County, IL

Most stairlift installs in Pingree Grove happen inside the Cambridge Lakes master-planned community — nearly 3,000 homes built since 2005, spread across 360 acres with 12 lakes and five miles of trails. Inside Cambridge Lakes, the Carillon 55-plus enclave accounts for about 1,000 ranch duplexes and townhomes where short straight-rail installs are common for the 4-to-6-step garage entries and loft-model second floors. The Dunes and Prairie Springs sub-neighborhoods have the larger two-story singles with hardwood treads and full basements. Bayside and Orchard Walk mix townhomes with detached models — Orchard Walk tends toward carpeted stairs, Bayside toward oak.

Straight Rail on Hardwood in Cambridge Lakes Two-Story

Cambridge Lakes, IL Installed March 2026

Two-story D.R. Horton build from 2018 with dark oak treads. The Chen family needed a lift for Mrs. Chen's mother, who had moved in and couldn't manage the full staircase from the main floor to the upstairs bedrooms. The Dunes, IL Installed February 2026

Cambridge Lakes townhome in The Dunes section with stone-faced treads and a compact entryway staircase. Narrow clearance between the stairs and a wooden sideboard at the base. The brown seat tucks in at the bottom landing without blocking the walkway. Mr. Harper uses it after a knee replacement — straight shot up 12 steps to the main living level. Stone treads required a slightly longer bit for the anchor bolts but no special hardware.

Carpeted Straight Stairs in Orchard Walk Townhome

Orchard Walk, IL Installed April 2026

Orchard Walk townhome with wall-to-wall beige carpet up a standard straight staircase. The Patels' teenage son has muscular dystrophy and needed a way to reach his upstairs bedroom independently. Brown seat rail matches the carpet tones. Bolted through the carpet into the wood treads beneath — carpet compresses under the brackets but stays intact. Tiled floor at the base landing. The lift runs quietly enough that the family below doesn't hear it.

Original Village, IL Installed December 2025

Older split-level off Reinking Road, built in the 1980s before Pingree Grove's growth boom. Common Questions

Everything Pingree Grove Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Pingree Grove?

A straight stairlift in Pingree Grove starts at $2,800 installed. That covers the rail, carriage, seat, two remotes, and the battery backup — installed in about 3 hours, no drywall work. Curved lifts start at $9,000 because the rail is custom-bent to your staircase after a laser measurement on site. Outdoor units start at $4,000 with weather-sealed housing. Heavy-duty models (600 lb capacity) start at $5,050. All prices include the installation, and if you're in Cambridge Lakes or Carillon, we can usually be on site within 48 hours of your call.

Why do curved stairlifts cost more than straight ones in Pingree Grove?

A straight rail is a standard extruded aluminum track cut to length. A curved rail is a single piece of rail custom-bent to match every turn, landing, and rise of your specific staircase — no two curved rails are identical. After a 1-hour laser measurement in your home, the rail is fabricated at the factory (about four weeks) and then installed in a half-day. The higher cost is entirely in the custom fabrication and the precision measurement, not in marketing markup.

Does the $2,800 price include installation and battery backup for Pingree Grove homes?

Yes. The $2,800 price covers the full installation — rail, motorized carriage, seat, two wireless remotes, and the battery backup that keeps the lift running for about 6 hours after a power cut. In Pingree Grove, winter storms can knock out power along the Route 20 corridor, so the battery backup matters. There is no separate install fee, no trip charge, and no surprise line item at the end.

Are there any hidden costs or recurring fees for a Pingree Grove stairlift?

No. The price quoted is the price you pay — one time. No subscription, no monitoring fee, no mandatory maintenance contract. The warranty covers parts and labor for 5 years, and the rail itself has a lifetime warranty. If you ever need service, you call us. If you want an annual checkup after the warranty period, it's optional and runs about $150. We also offer financing at $79/month for qualified buyers.

A word from Luis

Pingree Grove is a different kind of install market than the older Chicago suburbs. Most of the homes I work on here were built after 2005 — D.R. Horton construction in Cambridge Lakes, the ranch models over in Carillon, the townhomes in Orchard Walk. The staircases are consistent but the floor plans run deep. I see a lot of two-story layouts where the master is upstairs and the laundry is in the basement. That's three flights a day before lunch.

The Carillon 55+ community keeps me busiest. Those ranch duplexes and townhomes often have 4 to 6 steps up from the garage or a short flight to the second floor in the loft models. A straight rail at $2,800 solves most of those. For the full two-story Cambridge Lakes singles, I measure the staircase, bolt the rail to the treads, and the homeowner's back upstairs the same afternoon. If you're near the lakes or backing up to one of the pocket parks, we also do outdoor units for the deck or porch steps — those get the IP55 weather sealing because a Pingree Grove January drops to 15 degrees.

For funding, the Hoffman Estates VA Clinic on Hoffman Boulevard handles the HISA paperwork for Kane County veterans. The Illinois Persons who are Elderly waiver runs through the Community Care Program — your care coordinator at the Department on Aging can walk you through the home-modification approval. Call me at the number on this page and I'll tell you what I need to measure before we submit anything.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Pingree Grove added more than 6,400 residents between 2010 and 2024 — the second fastest growth rate in Illinois — and the housing stock reflects it. Most homes are 2005 or newer, built by D.R. Horton and Cambridge Homes, with consistent stairwell widths and standard tread materials that make straight-rail installs predictable. The Carillon 55-plus segment means we do a higher share of short-flight installs here than in older Kane County towns, and the lakes-and-trails layout means outdoor porch lifts show up on about one in eight jobs.

If you live in Cambridge Lakes, Carillon, The Dunes, Bayside, or anywhere else in Pingree Grove and need a stairlift, call to schedule a measurement. Luis serves Pingree Grove directly — same-day assessments are usually available. The rail bolts to your treads, not your walls, and most jobs wrap in a single morning.
